I was free. I was terrified because of their cardinal rule… everyone that gets out must die. That's the one and only thing that terrified me. I was going to die, then I would be free. Free from this empty feeling, from this pain that hasn't left me through all this time. 'What's your name?' I looked at the man.
'I don't know.' They gave me a different name. They didn't want me to know who I was. I guess they got their wish.
'Let's go to the infirmary.' I let his hand grab hold of my arms. I didn't bother hiding my body. I was tired, ten years ago I would have squealed and ran if someone saw me naked… now I just wait for them to throw me on the bed and get on with it. I followed him into the infirmary. 'Dr. Olenski… we have a girl here.' A middle aged woman came out with a young, thin… happy blonde following her. My eyes darted looking for escape roots.
'Name?' the blonde asked. I just stared at her. She didn't look up from her clipboard.
'She doesn't know her name.' the man supplied. She looked up.
'Rose?'
