This is for chaos's challenge

Summary: this is a side story to "Once upon a what!?" This about how Ginga and Madoka were…well you'll find out if you read it. T for safety.

Madoka's POV

'This is bad, Earl Kadoya is supposed to be here soon and lord Ginga won't leave.'

"Lord Ginga, shouldn't you get back to your father he surely must be worried"

"Lady Madoka I assure you he is not as worried about me as I am about my bride to be"

Madoka turned a bit red when he said this. Yes she and he had been engaged for quite some time but the mere mention still made her blush.

"Lord Ginga, if you spend much more time here the neihgbors will begin to talk. That won't be good for your family's high stature."

"Nor will it yours, but I must say, I really don't care what they say about you my dear. Alas though I suppose you are right, I must go. The cooks are making a special dinner of which, they asked me to try. Roasted meat on bread, it sounds quite interesting if I do say so.

Madoka finally got Ginga on his way when Lord Kadoya pulled up, and her worst nightmare came true. "Ah, Madoka sweetheart good to see you, and your with lord Ginga. What a pleasant surprise.' As lord Kadoya spoke he wrapped a possessive arm around Madoka's waist 'have you finally decided to tell him what has been happening? Hmm?" Madoka looked at the ground as if it held the answers for her, yet she knew what she had to say. "Madoka? What is the meaning of this?" lord Ginga asked dropping the title. " I have been being courted by you and the lord here, at the same time." Ginga looked from Madoka to masamune to the arm around her waist.

"Looks like scarf boy is at a lost for words. I told you I would beat you one day, and become number one! I beat you to Madoka's heart and I am the one and only number one in her heart. Face it Ginga, you've lost the most important battle."

Ginga looked up at masamune and Madoka " one thing you can always count on is hearts change. And I intend to be that change! I challenge you, masamune, to a duel!" Masamune smiled when he saw Ginga so pumped up and ready to risk what was left of his pride "fine then, the winner will have lady Madoka's hand!"

-later that day-

Madoka and the rest of the town gathered at the jousting field for the duel, unfortunately it wasn't what any one was expecting…
