Part 15: She Drives me Crazy.

This was the day everyone feared.

The day everyone dreaded

The day that would go down in history as the day on infamy

The day Starfire (Dramatic Music) Drives a car!

It was another normal (or what passes for normal) day at the Tower, until Starfire walked into the living room

Starfire skipped happily into the room as she announced, "Friends! Today I will learn to drive a car!"

At this everyone present stopped what they were doing. Cyborg and Beast Boy stared at Starfire, causing them to lose their game, Raven was shocked out of her meditation and caused a vase to break, Robin whacked himself on the head with his Bo staff. The only one that was unaffected was Terra.

"Really Star!" Terra exclaimed, "That's great!"

"Um…Star?" Robin began, nervously, "You sure that's a good idea?"

"Yeah girl, I mean, do you even know the first thing about driving?" Cyborg added.

"That is why I wish to learn!" Starfire said, happily.

"Oh boy…" Beast Boy slapped his face and groaned.

"That might not be such a good idea," Raven muttered.

As if on cue, Draco and Jinx walked in. Jinx was holding onto Draco's arm while Draco was carrying various shopping bags with him, mostly filled with clothes and shoes, Jinx's clothes and shoes.

"Yo guys, what's up?" Draco asked. Jinx sighed happily as she leaned against the dragon Knight's arm.

"Friend Draco! Friend Jinx! Today I wish to learn to drive a car!" Starfire told the two.

Draco blinked and smiled, "That's great, Star."

Jinx grinned, "You go girl!"

Starfire tilted her head in confusion, "I go where?"

Jinx shook her head, "Never mind."

"So, who's gonna teach you, Star?" Draco asked.

"I was hoping that Cyborg or Robin teach me," she turned to see all the Titans that were in the living room before had disappeared. "That is strange. They were here mere minutes ago." She turned to Draco and Jinx, "May any of you teach me?" she asked.

Draco rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry, Starfire. I don't really have a driver's license. I've only got a driver's permit."

Jinx added, "And I'm not allowed to drive till I'm 18."

Starfire looked down sadly, "Then who will teach me?"

"Well there's Shadowcobra, but he doesn't really have a license either. The only other 18 year old here is…"

"Hey guys, Whasup!" Pluto shouted as he entered the living room with Shadowcobra behind him.

"Must you always say that, Pluto?" Shadowcobra sighed.

"Be in the times man!" Pluto grinned.

"Friend Pluto!" Starfire flew in front of Pluto, surprising him, "Will you teach me how to drive?"

Pluto smiled, "Sure Starfire."

Shadowcobra added, "I think it would be best if you both got a rental. Somehow, I believe that Cyborg wouldn't allow Starfire to just drive his car."

Pluto huffed, "I could've thought of that!"

Shadowcobra muttered, "Whatever," And rolled his eyes.

"C'mon Star! I'll be the best driver's ed you've ever got!"

"Yeah!" Starfire cheered. They both walked to the elevator.

Shadowcobra turned to Jinx and Draco, "Why do I have the feeling that Starfire's wish to drive caused everyone to disappear?"

"Can you blame them?" said Jinx.

"Is there something I should know?" Draco said.

"Starfire attempted to drive the T-Car once, and crashed it. It was on the files," Shadowcobra told him.

"Why do I have the feeling that Pluto just bit off more than he can chew?" Draco chuckled.

"I don't know, but I'm not going to miss this," Shadowcobra grinned psychotically, before disappearing into the shadows.

Shadowcobra, Pluto and Starfire were at a car rental shop to rent a car. Starfire chose (obviously) a pink car. Shadowcobra paid for it.

"Ready Starfire?" Pluto asked as he got into the passenger's side.

"I am ready!" Starfire said, excitedly, as she hopped into the driver's side.

"I hope you're ready, Pluto," Shadowcobra said as he sat in the back.

"And why are you here?" asked Pluto, glaring at Shadowcobra.

Shadowcobra raised the collar of his cloak and crossed his arms. "I was thinking of tagging along to give Starfire some moral support."

"Well, don't interrupt me with my lesson," Pluto remarked.

"Wouldn't dream of it," Shadowcobra responded.

Pluto ignored Shadowcobra and turned to Starfire, "Alright Starfire, first you have to put on your seat belt." He demonstrated. "See?"

Starfire nodded. She put on the seat belt, as she always did when piloting the T-Ship/Sub.

"Now you check the rearview mirrors," Pluto instructed. "And then make yourself comfortable."

Starfire checked all the rearview mirrors and settled herself in the seat. Shadowcobra smiled.

"Alright," Pluto began, "Set it into first gear and push down the accelerator gently."

Starfire shifted the gear and placed her foot down on the accelerator.

That was when all Hell broke loose.

The car raced right out of the gate and went into the street.

The good news was that Starfire was driving.

The bad news was she was driving in the wrong direction, on a one way street!

"Starfire!" Pluto exclaimed, "You're going the wrong way!"

"I am?" Starfire asked.

"Turn around! Turn around! Not so fast!"

Starfire did turn around, but accidentally shifted the car in reverse, causing them to go backwards.

"STARFIRE!" Pluto yelled, digging his hands onto the dashboard.

Starfire pressed her foot onto the accelerator, causing it to go faster.

"PULL OVER! PULL OVER! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PULL OVER!" Pluto continued to scream, only reaching dead ears.

They were finally going the right direction, with the car heading in the right direction. However, Starfire was tearing through the road like a bat out of hell.

"STARFIRE! STOP! STOP!"

"Please friend Pluto! You are making me nervous!"

"You're nervous? YOU'RE NERVOUS?" he looked forwards. "WATCH OUT FOR THAT SIGN!"

Shadowcobra was comfortably reading a book in the back.

"SPEED BUMP! SPEED BUMP! SLOW DOWN! SLOW DOWN!" Pluto screamed. "AAAAHHHHHHHH!"

"WHHHEEEEEEE!" Starfire exclaimed.

"RED LIGHT! STOP! THAT'S A YELLOW LIGHT! SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN!"

Shadowcobra continued to whistle in the backseat calmly.

"WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE! WATCH OUT FOR THAT HYDRANT! WATCH OUT FOR THAT TRUCK!"

The car continued to race forwards…Into the Highway.

"OH SHIT!" Pluto exclaimed.

"Friend Pluto!" Starfire gasped, "You have uttered the dirty word!"

"That's not all he uttered," Shadowcobra chuckled. "This is quite a pleasant ride."

"PLEASANT? HOW CAN YOU BE SO DAMN CALM?" Pluto yelled at Shadowcobra.

"My sister used to drive me around a lot," answered Shadowcobra, "Compared to Starfire's driving, hers is worse. Pluto when you live how I did, not much can scare you. And look straight ahead."

Pluto's eyes bulged. "STAR! SLOWDOWNSLOWDOWNSLOWDOWN!"

"I cannot!"

"What did I do to deserve this?" Pluto moaned.

"Want the short or the long list?" Shadowcobra quipped.

"I was set up! THOSE JERKS SET ME UP!"

"Now you realize that?" Shadowcobra raised an eyebrow.

"SLOW DOWN! SLOW DOWN!"

"Friend Pluto, look!" Starfire took her hands off the steering wheel, "No hands!"

"AHHHHH" Pluto grabbed the steering wheel and began maneuvering the car so that they wouldn't hit anyone.

Starfire then took the wheel again, in time to see Pluto hyperventilating.

"Life (Gasp) Flashing (Gasp) before my eyes."

"Friend Pluto, are you alright?" asked Starfire.

"I think he needs a doctor," Shadowcobra suggested.

"Then we must go to the hospital. Cyborg once showed me a shortcut!"

"SHORTCUT?" Pluto exclaimed. He felt the vehicle turn around and back to the city. "I'M GONNA DIE!"

They crashed into a wooden wall and drove through a construction site and the baseball park, causing a lot of people to panic.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Pluto screamed.

Shadowcobra heard sirens and turned around to see about a dozen police cars chasing after them. "This cannot be good," he mumbled.

"YOU THINK?"

"Starfire, how fast can you drive?" Shadowcobra asked.

"I think I can go a little faster, if this vehicle allows it," she answered, not noticing the sirens.

"Do it." Shadowcobra grinned.

"No….NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Pluto howled

They went racing down the road.

"WATCH OUT FOR THAT SIGN! NOW WATCH OUT FOR THAT CAT! CHILDREN! CHILDREN! WATCH OUT FOR THAT SQUIRREL! WHY THE HELL ARE WE DRIVING THROUGH THE PARK?"

Starfire was also driving the car on two of the left wheels.

Shadowcobra was calmly reading his book. That was when Pluto's eyes bulged. They were on the city bridge and Starfire was heading for the edge.

Correction: She was driving off the edge!

"OOOOOOHHHHHHMMMMMYYYYYGGGOOOOOODDDDDDI'MGONNADIE!"

"QUIET MOGREL!"

"THIS IS FUN!"

They crashed into the water. It wasn't able to sink thanks to Shadowcobra's telekinesis.

"I'M GONNA BE SICK!"

"Nice view, huh Starfire?" Shadowcobra said.

"DON'T ENCOURAGE HER!"

"I have never thought of driving on water before," Starfire smiled.

Shadowcobra looked out the window, "Nice view of the Tower." He was concentrating on his powers to keep the vehicle afloat.

"For the love of God…" Pluto groaned, looking slightly sick.

"Are you alright Pluto?" Shadowcobra asked, although he was grinning. "I guess we need to get to the Tower infirmary."

"I can see Titans Island from here," Starfire said as she pointed forwards.

"Then full speeds ahead," Shadowcobra said.

"Why me?" Pluto groaned.

Shadowcobra looked behind and gulped, "That's a really big wave."

"WAVE?" Pluto shouted.

"Oh my," Starfire gasped.

"This is going to be a bumpy ride," Shadowcobra said, "Hold on."

The wave was a good 20 feet tall and closing in behind them. It lifted the car up and the pink automobile was riding the wave.

Shadowcobra crossed his legs and rested his arms behind his head, "Now this is surfing with style," he sighed.

"I'm getting sick…" Pluto turned greener than Beast Boy and had swirlies in his eyes.

"We are almost there!" Starfire exclaimed.

The waved then washed them up onto Titans island. Actually, they were sent tumbling onto the beach.

Pluto quickly exited the vehicle and kissed the ground, "Land! Beautiful land!"

Shadowcobra and Starfire also exited their vehicles.

"Talk about a drama queen," Shadowcobra rolled his eyes, "Sissy."

Pluto glared at the Snake Knight and got in his face. "I've had it up to here with you disrespecting me."

Shadowcobra waved his hand in front of Pluto's face, "Sleep."

Pluto's eyes closed and he fell back, fast asleep.

Starfire turned to Shadowcobra worriedly, "Do you think he will be fine?" she asked.

Shadowcobra shrugged. "Possibly. Let's just go in and place him in his bed."

Starfire smiled, "Okay!"

The next day…

"Friend Pluto! Let us have another day of driving lessons."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"This is so entertaining," snickered Shadowcobra.

To be continued…
