Part 24: One Night, Three Battles

Draco turned his head at Gizmo. "Yeah, it's me. So whatcha gonna do?"

Gizmo walked up to Draco and glared at him. Draco glared back. Suddenly, Gizmo extended a hand towards him. "Thanks for the save." He smiled.

Draco took his hand and shook it. "No prob." He then turned back to the window. But before he jumped in, he opened up his faceplate and turned around, walking quickly to Jinx and planting a quick kiss on her cheek.

"I'll be back later, kay Jinx?"

Jinx placed a hand to her cheek and smiled. "Be careful and get that thing."

Draco's faceplate slid back into place as he gave her a thumbs up. Turning around, he ran towards the window and jumped in.

The Mirror Dimension, an alternate world.

It exists symmetrically to our world, beyond the mirrors, and looks identical to our world. However, only monsters exist in this world.

No one truly knows how long the mirror world has existed or for how long the monsters have been hunting down humans, but one thing is for sure: the monsters will stop at nothing to hunt down humans, their basic food source.

Monsters can enter our world through mirrors or any reflective surface, using them as portals. Only Zodiac Knights have the power to enter this alternate world.

Battle 1: Pluto Vs Planteleon (Plant Monster)

Pluto jumped out of the window, riding in his Knightrider. As he got out of his vehicle's cockpit, he looked around for the monster.

"Where is that thing?" he whispered. Walking around, he searched endlessly through out the empty streets. Suddenly, his super sensitive ears picked up something. A long tentacle shot from beneath him and grabbed his legs, wrapping around them. Two more tentacles came out from both sides and grabbed his arms. Another one came out from behind and wrapped around his neck.

It was a trap! The monster had retreated underground! The creature wrapped the tentacle around Pluto's neck tighter and tighter, threatening to squeeze the life out of him. Pluto gasped as he struggled to breathe. He frantically struggled out of the monster's grasp but it was too strong. The pressure increased and Pluto breathed no longer. He stopped struggling, as his body lay limp. No signs of life could be seen from the dog knight. The creature retracted its tentacles and allowed the knight to fall face down onto the ground. The creature dug its way out of the ground and stood over Pluto. There wasn't one but two of them. The creatures were green and based on plants. The creatures seemed to be laughing.

Suddenly, Pluto rose up and inserted a card into his sword

"Nasty Vent." His helmet released a deafening screech, forcing the monsters to cover their ears. He then followed up with a kick, sending them flying. Pluto messaged his neck and limbs.

It's a good thing I'm immortal, thanks to this dog armor.

The creatures got on their feet and delivered a storm of tentacles towards Pluto. Pluto shrugged and unsheathed his sword. In a quick flash, he slashed the tentacles to ribbons. The monsters started regenerating more tentacles, but Pluto was quick. He drew a card and inserted it into his sword.

"Add Vent-Summoning Cerberus." The three-headed hell hound rose up from behind the monsters and clamped all three of its jaws on them. The monsters tried to throw off the beast but to no avail. Pluto decided to finish this and finish this quick.

"Final Vent!" He jumped into the air and his cape wrapped around him, forming a drill.

"DEADLY IMMORTAL'S DRILL!"

Cerberus let go of the monsters when the attack came near and the monsters ended up at the wrong end of the mighty dog knight's attack. A huge explosion erupted.

Pluto merely walked away, unscathed as his cape un-swirled from his body and blew in the wind. The monsters' energy formed 2 balls of energy. One of the balls was swallowed up by Cerberus. The second one Pluto saved for another monster. "Darkwing! Go!" Pluto ordered. Pluto's cape detached from his back and morphed into a giant bat monster. The bat, Darkwing, screeched before flying towards the energy ball and swallowing it up. It then went back to its master, becoming his cape once more.

Pluto walked back to his Knightrider. He didn't know, however, that he was being watched.

On top of a building, a female in blue and white body armor watched him intently. Her helmet covered her whole head and face and her long white hair spilled out of the helmet. She watched Pluto from behind her black visor before she disappeared.

Battle 1 results

Battle 2: Shadowcobra VS Volobster (Lobster Monster)

Shadowcobra was slammed right into a table, shattering it and sending pieces of broken wood everywhere. He had underestimated the lobster monster and was being beaten up.

When Shadowcobra entered the Mirror Dimension version of the nightclub, the monster took him by surprise and disarmed him.

His Cobra Scepter/card reader had been smacked away earlier before Shadowcobra had a chance to use a card. However, his cards weren't his only weapons.

The lobster monster charged at Shadowcobra, but the snake knight was prepared. He jumped over the monster, landed behind it and delivered a sweep kick under the monster's legs. Shadowcobra then mounted the monster and proceeded to punch the monster in the face, repeatedly. The monster regained its senses and threw Shadowcobra off of itself. Shadowcobra performed a back flip and landed on his feet. Shadowcobra then used his telekinetic abilities and pushed the monster away, sending the monster flying into a wall. The monster seemed enraged as it charged at Shadowcobra. Suddenly Shadowcobra disappeared. The monster looked around, both angrily and frantically, for the snake knight. Suddenly it was grabbed by the legs and was being spun around. The invisible foe let it go and send it flying into a bunch of tables. Shadowcobra reappeared and picked up his fallen scepter. He inserted a card.

"Add Vent-Summoning Genosnaker."

The giant purple cobra rose up from the ground and coiled itself around its master. As the lobster monster got up, Shadowcobra decided to finish it. He drew his Final Vent card and slammed it into his scepter.

"FINAL VENT-GENOCIDE CRUSH!" Shadowcobra charged at the monster with Genosnaker behind him. Shadowcobra then jumped up and did a back flip, allowing Genosnaker to catapult him forward with a stream of venom and acid while he swung his legs, kicking wildly. The kicks impacted on the monsters, sending it flying into some tables and chairs. The monster writhed and started melting. Soon, there was nothing left of it but a small puddle and an energy ball.. The monster's energy was swallowed up by Genosnaker.

Shadowcobra looked disgusted at the mess before going back into the girls' bathroom, intending to return to the real world.

Meanwhile, a figure walked in and stared at the puddle. He was clad in golden torso armor and silver gauntlets and boots over his black bodysuit and a golden helmet over his head, hiding his face. On his left arm, he wore a claw shaped like scissors. He stared at the puddle and then shrugged, before he walked away.

Battle 2 results.

Winner: Zodiac Knight Shadowcobra

Battle Time: 5 minutes 15 seconds

Battle 3: Draco VS Biomeleon (Chameleon Monster)

"Now where the hell is that thing?" Draco asked himself as he rode down the street in his Knightrider. The Biomeleon was tricky and well, it was making it hard for Draco to find it. Draco sighed. He had left Jinx and was looking for a monster. Suddenly his senses picked up something. The Biomeleon was right in front of him, running away. Draco smiled and increased the speed of his vehicle, racing towards it. He rammed right through the monster, sending it flying into some garbage cans. Draco stopped his vehicle and got out as the cockpit opened. He walked slowly towards the cans only to find that the monster was gone.

"Now where is it?" an invisible punch to his face answered his question as another punch hit him right in the stomach. Draco threw a punch but hit nothing but air. The creature had turned itself invisible and was taunting Draco.

"This is like fighting Shadowcobra all over again!" Then an idea struck. "That's it." Draco stood dead still and closed his eyes, waiting, concentrating. Suddenly he spun around and delivered a kick to the monster's chest, making it visible once more. The creature grabbed Draco in a sleeper hold and attempted to break his neck as Draco struggled to reach for his deck. He drew a card and inserted it into his gauntlet.

"Add Vent-Summoning Overbite!" Suddenly a red shark flew towards them and rammed right through the Biomeleon. Draco grabbed hold onto one of the shark's fins and climbed onto its back. Draco rode on the shark's back lying on his stomach while holding onto the shark's fins.

"Thanks Overbite," Draco gasped as he breathed in much needed air. Overbite growled as they flew in the air. It was happy to see its master safe. Draco drew a card from his deck and inserted it into his gauntlet.

"Sword Vent-Red Shark Sword!" Draco grabbed the sword. The Biomeleon got up and jumped into the air. It wanted to kill Draco, but Overbite slammed it away with its tail. Draco chose to finish it. He drew his Final Vent card and inserted it into his sword instead of his gauntlet.

"Final Vent!" Overbite flew straight at the Biomeleon and plowed right through it. The monster fell to the ground. Draco cried out, "DRILLING SHARK STRIKE!" Overbite did a dive and he held the sword above his head with the tip pointing downwards and started spinning rapidly like a drill. He struck the monster head on with the sword.

KABOOOOM!

The creature was no more and its energy was swallowed up by Overbite.

Draco landed on the ground as Overbite flew around him. Draco smiled at the red shark as it seemed to be doing a victory dance. Draco called out to it, "Alright Overbite, let's go home, kay?" Overbite complied and followed the Zodiac Dragon Knight as he rode in his Knightrider and went straight into their exit portal. They didn't notice, however, a figure in the shadows. His armor was dark green. He walked away from the scene and disappeared into an alley.
