Part 77: Monster Battling

"Titans! GO!"

The Titans rushed to the scene of the explosion. When they arrived, they saw a village being attacked by monsters. Orcs to be precise. Houses were on fire and villagers were screaming for help and running around panicking. Starfire gasped and turned to her friends.

"Friends!" she said, "We must assist these villager and help them defeat the monsters!" the others were reluctant.

"I don't know Star. Should we? I mean these villagers are just people made for the game. It's not like they are real or anything," Robin said. Starfire looked crestfallen. Fortunately for her, three of her friends were ready to fight.

"What are you guys, chicken?" Draco began as he took out his deck. "This game's an RPG. So if we want to gain experience points, we have to fight!"

"I have to agree with Draco on this," Pluto said, also taking out his deck, "Who knows, we might get a reward that will help us win the game."

"I was waiting for a challenge. These monsters may not seem much, but let's see what the Gamemasters have to offer," Shadowcobra said as he took out his deck. The Zodiac Knights took their places in front of the Titans and transformed.

"ZODIAC FORCE!"

"DRAGON!"

"DOG!"

"SNAKE!"

Starfire cheered and flew towards the village with the Zodiac Knights following her. The Titans merely stood where they were before finally going into battle with their friends.

"Starfire," Robin began as he ran next to Starfire. "I'm sorry for what I said before."

"You are forgiven Robin." Starfire smiled.

"Teen Titans! GO!" Robin shouted as he threw some of his electric discs at a few orcs.

"Now you're talking Robin!" Draco drew a card from his belt and inserted it into his gauntlet. "Sword Vent-Dragon Flame Saber!" Grabbing the sword, Draco slashed a nearby orc across the chest and then spun around to slice its head off. Jinx fired a few of her hex energy at the ground under a few orcs' feet and sent them falling down a huge hole. Draco sliced an orc coming up from behind her. He gave her a thumb's up before going and attacking a few more orcs that were coming at them. "Jinx! I'll cover you!" Draco said as he slashed an orc twice across the chest before giving another a powerful uppercut. Jinx fired hex energy at an orc coming behind Draco. The orc ended up on the wrong end of Draco's saber and impaled itself. Draco drew his saber out of the orc before punching one coming behind Jinx.

"Thanks for the hex Jinx!" he said standing back to back with her.

"No prob!" Jinx smiled as she punched an orc across the jaw.

Beast Boy roared as he assumed the form of a T-Rex with Terra riding on his back. Terra summoned a pair of rock spikes that impaled two orcs and then Beast Boy stomped on a couple that were attacking his legs. An orc behind him got thrown into a burning house by Beast Boy's tail. An orc somehow got on Beast Boy's back and had Terra in a chokehold. Terra concentrated with her power and slammed a rock into the back of the orc's head and then back fisted its face. She then threw him off herself. Beast Boy reverted back to human form and gave Terra a high five.

"We rock!" Terra said.

"Woohoo!" Beast Boy turned into a gorilla and started punching at more orcs while Terra backed him up with Geokinesis.

Cyborg let loose with his sonic cannon, blasting a few orcs into oblivion. "Booya!" he said as he blasted a few more. An orc ran behind Cyborg and then pushed him down. The orc pinned down Cyborg and then was followed by a few of its own. "GET OFF!" Cyborg yelled as he threw off the orcs and then blasted them with both of his sonic cannons.

Pluto was swinging his sword and slashing at two orcs he was fighting at the same time. With another swing of his arm, he sliced both orcs' heads off. Another orc tried to attack Pluto with its axe but the axe was useless against the armor. Pluto merely turned and sliced the orc in the midsection. 8 orcs then came running at him, roaring and swinging their axes and clubs wildly. Pluto drew a card and inserted it into his sword.

"Nasty Vent-Supersonic Screech!" Pluto's screech attack forced the orcs to stop and cover their ears. This allowed Pluto to run at them with his sword, slashing at each one of them. The orcs fell and Pluto stood triumphant. "Oh yeah! Who's the dawg!"

"Azerath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven chanted as she flung a few orcs at Shadowcobra. Shadowcobra used his own telekinetic energy and blew the orcs up. An orc coming up behind him got elbowed in the face before being jabbed in the stomach by Shadowcobra's scepter. Raven flung a few orcs around and also a couple of boulders at an attacking army of them. They were quickly flattened. Shadowcobra drew a card and inserted it into his scepter.

"Nasty Vent-Acid Spray!" Shadowcobra's scepter let loose with a spray of pure acid into the orcs' eyes, blinding them. He signaled for Raven.

"Raven! Now!" he said.

"Azerath Metrion Zin-Ooof!" Raven was knocked down by an orc's club. The orc was about to smash its club into the sorceress again but was sliced in half by a black and red blade of energy. Shadowcobra ran towards Raven and then helped her up.

"Are you alright, Raven?" he asked, concerned for her safety. Raven shook her head.

"You weren't kidding when you said that everything here felt real," she said half jokingly. Shadowcobra smiled at her. They then used their magic to destroy the orcs that were near them. Raven used her dark aura while Shadowcobra held a black blade of energy in his hand and then used it to slash at more orcs.

Robin faced off against one of the bigger orcs. It was probably the leader, judging by the size. The orc raised its club and slammed it on Robin. Robin blocked with his bo staff and then jabbed the orc in the stomach. The orc roared and then grabbed Robin's head. Robin's legs were kicking wildly as the orc increased the pressure of its grasp.

"Robin!" Starfire gasped as she flew to her lover's aid, only to have her leg grabbed by an orc. She fired a starbolt at it, but it had little effect on the orc. Starfire continued to struggle, but at the same time watched as the orc holding Robin slowly crushed the Boy Wonder's head.

Robin was in a lot of pain as his head was being crushed. He couldn't even reach his utility belt. Suddenly he felt the orc slowly decreasing the pressure and then dropped him. Robin looked up to see the orc with something sharp protruding from its head. The orc fell and Robin saw Shadowcobra with the tip of his scepter imbedded in the back of the monster's skull. Shadowcobra pulled it out and wiped off the blood. He then helped Robin up.

"Thanks Shadow," Robin said to the snake knight before turning around to see Starfire struggling to escape an orc's grasp. "Starfire!"

Shadowcobra narrowed his eyes in anger. Nobody hurts his sister!

"Robin! Help!" Starfire screamed as the orc had her in a bear hug, attempting to crush her. Robin and Shadowcobra both charged, enraged. Robin jumped above the orc and then slammed his staff onto the orc's head. The orc let go of Starfire. Shadowcobra then decapitated the creature with a blade of shadow energy. Starfire gasped and panted as she drew in much needed air. Next to her was Robin. He had a bruise on his head from where the previous orc had grabbed him. She placed a hand on the bruise.

"Robin, you are injured," she said sadly.

"It's okay Star. It'll heal. Besides, I'm just glad you're safe," he said to her, smiling.

Starfire hugged him. Robin smiled as he hugged her back. They then joined their friends in defeating the orcs.

Pluto, Shadowcobra and Draco drew out their Trick Vent cards and then inserted them into their card readers.

"Trick Vent!"

"Shadow Clones!"

"Duplication!"

"Multiply!"

They each split into multiple copies of themselves and then rushed into the horde of orcs attacking every one of them. The Titans watched in awe as their Knight friends fought and then they continued fighting the orcs.

In a matter of minutes, the Titans were able to defeat the army of orcs, leaving only the orcs' dead bodies lying all over the ground. The villagers, who were in hiding during the battle slowly got out of their hiding places. They looked upon the Titans with a little fear and awe. Suddenly, the villagers started cheering and then ran towards the Titans. The villagers congratulated the Teens and a few of the villagers were curious with the unusual appearance of their heroes. The village chief finally came out and then spoke with the Titans.

"Thank you strangers for saving us from the orcs," the chief said as he shook hands with Robin. Starfire looked over Robin and smiled.

"All in a day's work for us." Robin smiled.

"We are just happy to help out," said Starfire.

"Tell me," the chief said, "Who are you fine young people?" The Titans looked at each other and smiled.

"We're the Teen Titans!" The Titans said in unison.

"Well Teen Titans, let us tend to your wounds. As a token of our sincere gratitude, tonight, we shall hold a feast in your honor," the village chief said, smiling.

"Woohoo! Free food!" Draco jumped up and pumped his fists. Jinx clapped her hands.

"Do you have tofu?" Beast Boy asked. "I don't eat meat."

"I don't care! As long as you got meat!" Cyborg said, patting his metal stomach.

Then the changeling and Cyborg started their argument. (You know…Meat Vs Tofu)

Both Raven and Shadowcobra thought at the same time, Idiots…

"Come on guys. Let's not fight!" Pluto said.

"I do not know what is this tofu you speak of green shapeshifter (Beast Boy), but we have plenty of vegetarian dishes. As for meat giant knight (Cyborg), we have plenty of that for you and your friends to feast on."

"WOOHOO!"

"OH YEAH!"

"BOOYAH!"

Cyborg, Draco and Beast Boy jumped up, pumping their fists.
