Part 88: Knights' Victory

Shadowcobra's POV:

Starfire, Blackfire, Terra, Jinx and Raven faced off against the powerful white dragon. Even with their new Zodiac power, armor and weapons, they knew it wouldn't be an easy battle.

The dragon roared and sent a blast of white energy at the girls.

"Scatter!" Raven ordered as she and the girls dodged the dragon's attack.

I couldn't do anything to help Raven since my hands were full with one of the three dragons. Pluto and Draco were assisting me in subduing the beast.

"Trap Vent!" we exclaimed simultaneously as we inserted our cards into our respected readers.

"Spider Webs!"-Draco

"Vine Storm!"-Pluto

"Chains of Darkness!"-Mine

Our bindings ensnared the creature and brought it to its knees. Of course, it thrashed around, trying to get us to lose our grip and hold on it.

"It's too strong!" Pluto said, stating the obvious.

"We have to hold on until we figure a way to destroy it!" I answered back.

Draco growled as he kept a good hold on his webbing. It was as strong as steel. "I don't think I can take much more of this."

Robin, Cyborg and Beast Boy were doing fairly well, at least. Robin slashed with his glaive and made a deep gash in the dragon's chest. The dragon roared and swiped at the Boy Wonder. Cyborg saw this and intercepted by grabbing the tail in his strong arms.

"BB! Now!" Cyborg yelled out.

Beast Boy nodded and morphed into a triceratops, or more specifically, an armored triceratops. The armor seemed to be able to change as Beastboy did. Perfect.

Beast Boy rammed the dragon in the gut, sending it too the ground. This gave both Cyborg and Robin a chance to finish it off.

Cyborg drew a card and inserted it into the panel of his left shoulder guard.

Robin drew a card and inserted it into his sword.

Beast Boy drew a card and inserted into the big hammer he was holding.

I knew exactly what they were using.

"FINAL VENT!"

"RHINOCEROS SMASHER!" Cyborg rammed forward, riding vertically on the stampeding Metalceros.

"CONDOR STORM SLASH!" Brainstorm appeared behind Robin and blew a gust of wind that caused the Boy Wonder to spin like a tornado. Robin slashed the dragon repeatedly.

"HAMMERHEAD CRUSH!" Beast Boy jumped onto Hardhead's head, standing horizontally, and charged forward. Red energy formed around him, turning him into a battering ram.

Overwhelmed by the united force of the Final Vents, the Blue Eyes White Dragon shattered like glass, destroyed.

Raven drew a card and inserted it into her sword. "Nasty Vent! Supersonic Screech!" The deafening screech she let out was targeted at the dragon. The dragon writhed in pain and trashed its head around, trying to get the ringing in its ears out. This left a perfect opening for Jinx and Starfire.

Both tiger and lion armor clad females charged forward and slashed at the dragon with their claws, repeatedly, leaving gashes in the dragon's body. The dragon attempted to blast them again but a whip flung forward and wrapped around its jaw, binding it.

The whip was held by Blackfire.

Blackfire gave a powerful tug and pulled the dragon to the ground. The dragon continued to struggle, but Blackfire's Tamaranian strength won over it.

Terra stood atop Overbite and summoned spikes of stone to trap the dragon in a cage. It was true that the dragon could just fly out, but Terra made sure the tips joined together at the top, rendering such option as useless.

It was time to finish this.

They all drew out their cards at the same time and looked. They were all Final Vent cards. Inserting the cards into their card readers, they got ready for the final attack.

"FINAL VENT!"

"STINGRAY SURF ATTACK!" Stingdiver appeared and Blackfire jumped upon it and began riding the monster like a surfboard

"TIGER MOTORSMASH!" Wildcat appeared and transformed into a motor cycle. Jinx rode on it and began racing forwards.

"DRILLING SHARK STRIKE!" Still riding atop Overbite, Terra went into a falling spiraling motion above the dragon, the tip of her sword pointing downwards.

"DEADLY IMMORTAL'S DRILL!" Raven went high up into the air and her cape wrapped around her, forming a drill. She flew back down, spinning wildly.

"LION CLAW RUSH!" Starfire landed on Razorclaw's back and the mighty lion roared as it pounced with Starfire on its back. In mid jump, Razorclaw transformed into its powerful ATV mode.

All the attacks smashed into the dragon at the same time and it was soon destroyed. The girls cheered.

"COMBUSTION DRAGON KICK!"

"GENOCIDE CRUSH!"

"FROZEN HUNTER!"

Our attacks smashed right into it. Ice, Acid, Venom and Fire overwhelmed it. The dragon roared in pain and began writhing. Unfortunately for it, it was still bound by our Trap Vents. It was soon destroyed, shattering in a brilliant explosion of light.

Toros slammed his fists to the console. "NO!"

The Titans and Blackfire powered down and looked at their decks and then their monsters, their deckmasters. They then looked at Draco, me and Pluto, who had too powered down.

"So," I began, "How was it?" I asked.

"Are you kidding, it was awesome!" Beast Boy chimed.

"Yeah! Booyah baby!" Cyborg pumped his fists.

"That was a very exhilarating experience!" Starfire said.

"You can say that again, sis!" Blackfire agreed.

"That was a very exhilarating experience!" Starfire repeated. The others laughed.

Raven looked at her deck and then at Darkwing before looking at the Knights and me. "Such power and only in cards," she said. She smiled. "I think I'm going to like this."

Terra petted Overbite on the head. The flying shark growled with content. "I don't think I've had quite an experience like that before," she said, holding her shark deck to her chest.

"I have to agree. It felt good to have some sort of super power, even if it was artificial," Robin said.

Jinx looked at the Tiger deck while stroking Wildcat's fur. "That Final Vent thing was cool and I was fast and agile in that armor."

Draco and Pluto smiled. I held a serious expression.

"Well, good for you, Titans…and Blackfire," I said. "However, remember that since you are now Knights, you are bound by the Code of the Zodiac."

The Titans nodded.

"So, when are we gonna eat?" Draco said.

"You just ate, Draco," I chided

"But I'm hungry!" Draco whined.

The others laughed.
