Part 94: The Cat Meows (Muses)
Grant Wilson yawned as he threw his arms up into the air and puffed out his chest. He looked towards the mirror nearest to him, awaiting his little brother and baby sister.
Both Aqua and Scissors got out of the mirror and sighed tiredly. Their armors shattered away, revealing the tired Rose Wilson and Joseph "Joey" Wilson.
"So, did you guys finish what father told us to do?" Grant asked critically as he crossed his arms.
Rose nodded and Joey smiled. Rose answered, "Cinderblock and Plasmus have been successfully executed."
"Very good," was all Grant said, "Father would be please."
((I wonder why father took this long to finally get rid of those two? He had Grant dispose of Overload and Atlas almost 2 months ago)) Joey asked his brother and sister telepathically.
"Probably assumed they were still useful," Grant answered. "Well, too bad they failed too many times."
"Agreed," Rose smiled and checked her watch. "Where's Kat?"
"You don't know?" Grant asked, "She told me that she was gonna go out for a bit."
"Did she say where?" Rose asked.
"She didn't tell me where she was going and when I asked her again, she stomped on my foot," Grant winced at the memory.
((That does sound a lot like Copycat)) Joey mused.
Rose looked out the window and sighed. Kat where are you?
Their faithful butler, Wintergreen, opened up the door to the study and bowed, "Your father wishes to see you."
"Very well, Wintergreen," Grant nodded. He turned to his siblings. "Let's go guys and see what father wants this time."
"WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?" Copycat snarled as she slashed a tree in half with her claws. She had been searching day and night for the Titans and found nothing. "My navigation skills shouldn't be this bad, right? I mean, I am a great tracker and…" she then stopped, "Now I'm talking to myself." She let out a sigh and her stomach rumbled. "And I'm hungry," she whined and leaned against a tree before sliding back down to the ground. She took off her helmet and ran her clawed fingers through her ebony hair.
Why the Hell had Slade sent her here?
Slade knew that Mad Mod had made connections with a few Zodiac Knights from one of his prison contacts. Also, these Knights were also enemies of the Knights who have joined the Titans. Therefore, it made sense to send another Zodiac Knight to track them down.
Unfortunately, it was the Gamemasters. To Copycat, they were just a bunch of videogame and online RPG junkies who had Zodiac Powers and armor by coincidence. None of them had any battle experience, except with monsters and the like, plus they liked to toy with their victims.
Okay, so Copycat liked to toy with her victims as well, but not this elaborately.
"Maybe I should've just killed the Titans' bodies when I had the chance," Kat said to herself and then she shook her head, "Too easy. Sides, what would be the fun in that?"
Copycat, no matter how underhanded and sneaky she was, wanted to fight with her brother and defeat him fairly. It was about honor, basically, and killing the Titans off when their minds were trapped in VR was out of the question. Of course, threats and blackmail were not part of the honor equation and she loved to use those two tactics with evil glee and eagerness.
She then thought back of her meeting with Slade. Sure he was a little rough around the edges and stuff, but he was like a father to her. He trained her and thought her everything he knew about being evil. She in turn was asked to be eternally faithful, loyal and obedient. She began to respect him only after a little while. After he had earned her respect, she began to call him Slade-sama.
Of course, the masked super villain wasn't the focus of her affection. Rose was.
Yes, Rose Wilson. Copycat was an infamous bisexual and luckily, Rose was too. Slade had seen the affection they exchanged and either ignored it or not cared about it. Heh, he must really love his daughter to allow her to be happy. That was why Copycat gave her the Aquarius Deck to make her Zodiac Knight Aqua.
Grant was a little rough around the edges like his dad. He also had a macho complex that irked Copycat. He learnt his lesson when Copycat's foot cracked his nuts. He was a strong soldier and Copycat gave him the Taurus Deck to become Zodiac Knight ARMS.
Joey was a strange one. He was always quiet since he was a mute and spoke telepathically while using sign language to conceal his abilities. Since he was a silent warrior, he was given the Cancer Deck to become Zodiac Knight Scissors.
The Wilsons were her new family. She even liked that stiff butler Wintergreen who treated her with respect. Copycat also treated him with respect as well.
Copycat ended her musing when she heard strange sounds emanating from somewhere nearby. She put her helmet back on and allowed the enhanced audio sensors to pick up the sounds.
They sounded familiar. She stood up and copied Shadowcobra's power to turn herself invisible. She followed the directions of the voices into a cave.
Without hesitation, she entered.
Draco groggily woke up and messaged his head. He looked around to see himself in a dark room. Both Pluto and Shadowcobra were with him, unconscious. None of the other Titans were with them and they were all in their armor.
Strangely, Draco did not remember ever putting his armor on. He then went to his two buddies and shook them awake, "Guys! Hey guys! Wake up!"
Pluto sat up while holding his head, groaning, "What happened? I feel like I was hit by an 18 wheeler." He added, "And it backed up and hit me again."
"Maybe you drank too much," Shadowcobra hissed, balancing himself on his scepter. "Where are we?" he asked Draco as he shook the cobwebs out of his head.
"I don't know. I don't even remember transforming into my armor," Draco told them.
"Maybe I should enlighten you then," a voice spoke up and a viewing screen opened up to reveal the face of the Gamamasters' ringleader, Zodiac Knight Toros.
"Toros…" the three Knights said with disgust.
To Be Continued…
Chromedragozoid: Okay, I admit that this chapter was a bit rushed and all and that there are a few blanks. I had to since the Gamemaster Saga has been going on way too long and needs the conclusion before the next story arc. This was all for my good than the story, but I can still compensate.
