This is just a little story showing that (in my mind) Thor always had problems with patience and his temper and that Loki wasn't one to let go of things easily. Thought I'm pretty sure that holding grudges is normal for a five year old...
So, I guess Thor's about nine and Loki's five or six.
I don't own these characters!
Reviews, please! It really takes less than a minute, unless you want to write a longer one, which is fine too! :)
"Loki?"
"Go away." Thor's younger brother sniffed and turned in the direction not facing him.
"Loki, I really am sorry."
"I don't care!" The small boy yelled at him, turning back to face him.
Very quickly, little Thor forgot that he was trying to politely apologize and blew up, his cheeks turning a dark red. "Well fine! I'm not sorry! In fact, I'm happy I hit you! Maybe it'll teach you a lesson! It was your fault for running in front of me, anyway!"
Loki's face went from stubborn and angry to horrified and hurt. "Th-Thor, I-"
"I don't care, Loki! Whatever it is, I don't wanna hear it!"
"Boys! What happened, my sons?"
Both children turned their heads to see their mother rushing toward them, and each had a different expression on their faces. Loki's could be describes as relief, while Thor's would be like a child's when his hand was caught in a cookie jar.
"Mama!" Loki cried and ran over to Frigga, letting her pick him up. "Thor hit me!" The little boy held up his hand which was swollen and red like it had been slapped. Frigga immediately kissed it and set a stern look on Thor.
"Is this true, Son?"
"I didn't mean to! It was his fault, really. I was sword fighting with Fandral when Loki ran in front of me! I was already moving and I couldn't stop!"
Frigga turned to her left and saw a sheepish Fandral under a tree's shadow who looked all too uncomfortable at being a witness to the royal brothers' fight, then looked back at Loki's hand and realized that the wooden sword that Thor played with had hit Loki's hand, not the prince himself.
"I see... Loki," she turned to her youngest son. "When you tell me something, I need the full story. You can't just give me the bad parts; you should have told me that Thor hitting you was an accident."
"Yes, Mama," was all she got for a reply.
Frigga smiled. "Good. Now Thor, come over here and apologize to your brother."
"But I already did!"
"Then do it again, so I can see."
"Alright..." Thor huffed and shuffled over to his mother and brother. "I'm sorry for hitting you with my sword, Loki. Believe me when I say it was an accident and I would never really try to hurt you."
Frigga gave a proud smile to her eldest and turned to Loki. "It's your turn, dear. Accept Thor's apology or politely refuse it."
Loki hesitated. His hand still hurt and so did Thor's previous words, but it was obvious that with his mama watching, refusing the apology was not an option. Darting a glance at his mother, Loki let out a breath of air. "I forgive you, Thor. But my hand still hurts."
Thor smiled. "I'm afraid I can't do anything for that but recommend wrapping it in a cold cloth, but I think Mother's already gonna do that."
"You're right, Thor, I am. You keep playing with Fandral for a bit, but come in soon, alright?"
"Yes, Mother."
Frigga turned away with Loki and headed toward the kitchens in search of someone who could ready a cloth for her son's hand.
Reviews, please! I seem to be getting plenty of favorites and follows for my other stories, but not many reviews! :(
Pretty please? :)
