Lisbon gets promoted to the job in DC, but Pike doesn't exist in this version. The Bluebird con still happens, because Jane still doesn't want to lose her to a new job & city. She deserves the promotion, but why hadn't she asked him to come too? (currently one-shot, but hoping to expand) okay with a 3rd chapter now i suppose it's officially a multi-chapter! :)

Latter season 6 and season 7 of Mentalist reimagined. Starting from the island, but diverges from canon from there. Still Jisbon. Aims to address such questions as: What if there was more to the Blake Association after RJ's death? What if Lisbon was not entirely OOC for the whole season? Haven't written or posted in a long time, so please be patient.

It had been a long two years. The fallout from the Blake association, the dissolving of the CBI, Jane murdering Red John and fleeing the country, losing her job and her team. A lot happened while Jane was gone, and he won't be able to pick up where he left off. Work in progress; barring unexpected death, I will finish it.

One decision changes the lens through which all the decisions that follow are considered. AU. The story is set in seasons 1-4, but contains spoilers through early season 6.

The start of Episode 10, Lisbon and Jane are discussing going away for the weekend. Lisbon tells Jane, "when you said let's go away for the weekend...", this is my adaptation on how this started. Picks up between S7 Episode 9 and 10.

"Uh." He can't help letting his eyes dart back to Teresa's empty desk. "I was in town for a consult on a case, and… Is Teresa here?" Marcus finds out what's changed in the Austin office since he moved.

lisbon needs a date to her brother's wedding and jane is more than happy to oblige.

Jane is desperate... he doesn't want to lose Lisbon but she's moving to D.C. with Pike. Lisbon is tired of Jane's games and lies and just wants to move on. Jane gets one last shot at winning Lisbon, but he must find a way to break through all her barriers and get her to trust him for them to have a future together.

Lisbon returns to the office after a bad date and Jane takes it upon himself to try and cheer her up. Loosely set towards the end of season 4.

Lisbon goes to DC and marries Marcus Pike, has some kids with him, and then one day hears news that Patrick Jane has been killed by an angry suspect in Austin. Now nothing will ever be okay, ever again. (No worries - this is a Jisbon story! and my first fanfic - which is exciting/terrifying!) Rated T/M for some sexy scenes & occasional minor language.
