Jaune joins Beacon as one of four of Ozpin's wild card picks despite having only had his aura unlocked six months ago and applying a week before the start of term. To add to his discomfort he is made team leader as well as having to catch up on all the combat school education he has missed. The story covers Jaune's first term from his point of view.
