After that ordeal with Rainbow Dash in the dining room, Celestia showed me around the castle. While on the tour I kept getting glares from the guards and maids, no doubt all of them thinking some pretty negative things.
"Um…Celestia, why are all these ponies looking at me cock-eyed?" I asked.
"Ignore them sweetie, the minute ponies see something they aren't familiar with they think the worst of them," she said. Bit of an understatement there.
When a guard passed me they tried to trip me with their tail but the princess decked them in the back of the head with her left hind leg, making them dizzy and fall over. I wasn't expecting that at all, only one other person I can ever recall stood up for me, now I can add the princess. She looked at me with a type of motherly love that I never got from anyone, and to see it now after what she just did…well it was just hard to register and I found myself backing away.
Celestia looked worried and started to approach me, but that only made me tense my muscles to get ready to run or fight.
"You don't need to be scared of me Jacqueline, I will never hurt you," she said gently, but I kept backing away from her.
"I've been lied to before Celestia, how do I know you aren't doing the same now?" I asked, fully backed into the wall.
I was scared of this being and of the unknown power that she possessed. What would she do to me if I pissed her off in the slightest, would she blast me into ashes for stepping out of line or smash my head in with her powerful kick? I started to feel her nuzzle my face with a warm affection that slowly burned away my fear. Celestia looked me strait eye and I swear I could see her gentle nature of this creature and the somewhat protectiveness she was giving off.
"I swear to you that I will never hurt you, that's my word and if I were to ever break it may I burn in Tartarus," she said, being nothing but sincere.
"Thank you." That was all I was able to say before hugging her. It was weird but I actually felt save in her embrace.
We continued the tour around the castle and by the end of it I getting anxious to see outside; wouldn't you be curious to see the place of your birth? We made it into the throne room I saw Celestia's sister Luna who trotted over happily.
"Did you enjoy the tour of the castle Jacqueline?" she asked.
"Yeah, though I could go without the glares. But Celestia knocked one upside the head for me, and I can honestly say she earned my respect," I said, putting my arm around her neck but Luna looked at her stunned.
I think I may have caused them to get into a slight argument about it, so while they did that I sat on the steps leading up to two thrones which were no doubt theirs. Pulling out my cell, I listened to some music on high so that I wouldn't have to hear them, while doing so I kind of forgot where I was and was lost in a song. It seemed to catch the attention of the princesses and they tapped my leg, freaking me out.
"What is it that you are doing?" Luna asked, looking at the device with curiosity.
"Was that music coming out of those wires?" Celestia asked looking closely.
"Yeah, back in the human world we have all sorts of devices that do the most mundane of things, like for playing music or even making bigger machines," I said and they seemed interested to see for themselves.
Unplugging the headphones, I scrolled through my songs until I found one that seemed relatable to my situation, or at least to my dad's; Whereabouts Unknown by Rise Against. When it started to play, I couldn't help sing the lyrics
"To the ends of this lost world
You have marched and you have sworn
To a tainted crown of thorns
As the hungry sails unfurl
We are thrusted from the shore
And it's you that we search for
The blackest night
The midnight sun
The covered tracks and days spent on the run
The strangers we've become
These whereabouts unknown
Please know you can come home
It's alright
I long for the moment
Our silence is broken
It's alright [x3]
Another place, another time
We toed the same side of the line
Yeah we saw eye to eye
Even then the saddest sounds,
Were nothing laughter could not drown
But we are not laughing now
I see your face
In my sights
I hesitate
And then look for a sign
Somewhere in the sky
These whereabouts unknown
Please know you can come home
It's alright
I long for the moment
Our silence is broken
It's alright [x3]
Even together, we stand apart
Swallow the sun, erase the sky
An invitation that's been declined
Where did you go? Where did you go?
No whereabouts unknown
Please know you can come home
It's alright
I long for the moment
Our silence is broken
It's alright [x3]
It's alright now
It's alright now, yeah
Cuz all is forgiven
If you could just listen
It's alright
It's alright."
When it was over they looked at me in what I guessed to be astonishment, but also a sense of sympathy, like they could understand that I could relate to the words in the song.
"That was wonderful, I had no idea that you could sing," Luna said, making me feel a little modest.
"It was nothing, really it wasn't. I sing whenever I clean my house, but mostly I'm into painting, drawing or even graffiti."
"Wait, isn't graffiti a form of vandalism?" Celestia asked.
I was going to explain that I don't do it vandalize but do it recreationally with a group of artists, when this unicorn stallion came in with a very discussed look on his face. When he noticed me it only got worst as he approached.
"What in the world was that horrid noise?" he asked.
"The music, or me singing?" I asked somewhat sarcastically.
"Aunty, what is this ugly beast, did it stumble out of the Everfree Forest?"
That really pissed me off, this posh son of a bitch just insulted me right in my face. I didn't tolerate it on earth and I sure as hell won't tolerate it here. Something inside of me was building up, I'm pretty sure it was my anger but it was backed up with something else, something primal and chaotic.
A jolt of some unknown power was sent throughout my body. My sight started to fog up with red and my left eye started to hurt but I didn't give a damn, I was pissed so pain wasn't on my mind at the moment because right now I was about to put this asshole in his place.
3rd POV
Discord floated through the halls of the castle in happy mood, for he had his daughter again. After three millennium he had her back again, though he still feels regret for sending Jacqueline away and to grow up by herself with abusive and neglectful humans.
He let out a low growl, scaring the guards.
'Things are going to be different this time. I'm going to take care of Jacqueline and teach her what it means to be a being of chaos.'
His thoughts were shortly interrupted by great pain in his left eye that came so unexpectedly that fell to the floor and thrashed a bit until it finally subsided. Getting shakily to his feet, Discord tried to process what just happened to him, and the idea came to him like a slap to the face.
"DISCORD!" he heard the voices of the princesses coming from the throne room and immediately went to go see what was wrong. What he saw shocked him.
He saw the arrogant prince Blueblood imbedded into the wall unconscious. He saw the sisters in a panic and he saw why, Jacqueline was surrounded in a violent crimson aura that reeked of untapped and unstable power that has been long dormant for too long. Jacqueline clutched her now bleeding eye and screamed in pain, the red aura starting to thicken to the point where it was about to consume her entirely.
Discord did the only thing he could at the moment; he flew through the aura, not caring if the intense magic burned his body and held his daughter. The minute he made contact, Jacqueline's opened and locked in on him. Her enraged state made her believe that he was the enemy and she began to attack Discord without mercy, punching him ruthlessly in his ribs and stomach. He started to cough up blood but kept holding on, trying to get Jacqueline to calm down but it wasn't working.
His grip was finally released and Jacqueline kicked him to the floor. She stood over him, her left eye blazing a bright crimson but it still flowed with tears of blood. She raised her left hand and ignited it with her aura and aimed for Discord's head. He didn't move for he felt that this is what he deserved to die for abandoning her, that this was his punishment for being just like the ones who neglected her all those years in the human world. Right before she could fire she was grabbed from behind by a set of hooves that belonged to the sun princess.
"Jacqueline, sweetie, please calm down. You don't want to this," she cried in desperation.
Her words did only little to calm the human Draconequus before she started to thrash around in Celestia's hold, trying to break free. She tried elbowing her side and biting her hooves with newly formed canines but Celestia refused to let go. The princess knew that she wasn't going to let up any time soon so she came up with an idea that she immediately regretted, firing up her magic her horn started to glow gold.
"Forgive Jacqueline," she said before touching her horn to the girl's forehead, overloading her senses until it became too much and she dropped to her knees unconscious.
Celestia cradled her in her wings like if she was an infant and Discord looked at her in curiosity, not sure why the sun goddess was so caring to his child. But right now his only concern was to make sure she was alright, with a snap of his talon his wounds vanished and approached. He saw Celestia holding back tears but when she looked at him she did her best to keep it together.
"What just happened to her Discord, answer me now." Discord was taken aback by the demand. But reluctantly he gave her answer.
"That was her Draconequus magic being released, judging by how your idiot nephew is lodged in the wall, he did something to provoke her too far and it has finally surfaced. The crimson glow that surrounded her was my power that she inherited when she was born."
That confused Celestia, for she had almost no idea what he was saying, only that Jacqueline's magic had finally shown itself.
"If her magic has awakened, then why did you say that it belonged to you if she was the one using it just now?" Luna asked.
"It is as I said, she inherited it from me and her left eyes is proof of that since it not only marks her as my offspring but also shows that she can wield my power as well as her mother's but she hasn't awakened it yet," he said, making Celestia worry for the girl in her wings.
If others were to see the capability of her power than she would be marked as a potential threat to Equestria, she wouldn't let that happen, for Celestia was determined to keep her safe. Maybe even take a life if any dared to threaten her in a manner she didn't like.
"I'm going to take her to the infirmary, Luna attend to things here please," Celestia said with Discord following in suite behind her.
Upon reaching it, Celestia gently placed the girl on the bed and covered her.
"Tell me something Celestia, why is it that you show such concern for my daughter?" he asked, only to receive a sideways glace from the princess.
"Just go and terrorize the ponies in Canterlot, I don't care just leave me be until she wake up," she said, dodging the question all together.
"But-"
"I said go Discord!" Celestia glared at him in full force and he backed away from the sun Alicorn, doing as she said.
Hours had passed while Celestia watch Jacqueline sleep occasionally nuzzling her and wiped away the dried blood from her face, slowly waking her from her magic induced sleep and to sit up. Taking in her surrounding she realized that she wasn't in the throne room anymore, and that asshole Blueblood was nowhere in sight, but she did see Celestia sitting next to the bed she was on.
"What happened?" she asked, rubbing the spot on her forehead where the magic had overloaded her senses.
Soon the events in the throne room came rushing back to her mind and she began to tremble at what she did to her father and to Celestia. Look at her closely Jacqueline was able to see the bite marks and bruises that darkened her pristine white fur. She started to cry and the princess was there to hold her in her embrace.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Celestia. I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear that I didn't," Jacqueline sobbed into her chest.
The human was scared, for the first time in a while she found someone who actually gave a damn to what happened to her, who showed her affection where no one else other than her father. She didn't want to be cast out like trash like everyone else did to her because this she would miss the one who was taking care of her.
"Please don't throw me out, I don't want to leave. I'll do anything just please don't throw me out."
Celestia lifted her face with her wing and looked at her with a sincere smile.
"I would never do something like that to you, so long as you are with me you will always have a home and someone to care for you, always know that. Don't worry about this, for it wasn't your fault and I'd do it again if it meant you're safety, always remember that sweetie," she said before kissing her forehead.
Jacqueline hugged her tight, truly grateful to have met this creature and to have her in her life.
Please Review if not that's cool too.
