A while back when we were in the exploration unit in my history , I chose ten people from it that I think Portugal would have met at one point or another. They're mainly contemplations again, but here are the first two on the list. I'll post the rest whenever I run out of material during these twelve days.
One More thing, Radaketor, I read your request and the filipin dynasty (in english its the Philippine dynasty) was what I referred to in the first two chapters, only I posted it as the Iberian Union. However, we are actually learn about those spanish monarchs in my class's Absolute Monarch unit (we are also learning about a Russian Czar named Ivan the horrible in the same unit) so I'll go back to that topic, but closer to the end of my history unit as we just started it. If you want to change your request that is fine.
I am still taking one more request at the moment, so please review! Thank You so much Radaketor, Carolzocas, and 2262Sophya for your constant support in my fiction. You guys are amazing.
Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia or any historical figure...

1. Amerigo Vespucci
It's funny, how life is. Italy never had claims in the new world yet it is an Italian that the two continents are named after. Italy always left its mark on the world, even without trying. Amerigo worked for me, of course. I had the best maps, ships, and a school devoted to navigation.
"Ve, Big sister Maria?" Italy asked, his small figure hunched over my maps. I smiled when I saw him doodle a sea monster. I always see him with something to draw or paint, even when we were younger. I never showed much interest in drawing, as I preferred playing with the clay Rome brought us to play with.
"What is it Feli?" I said as I sketched my own sea monster. They are not just legends. The little drawings warn the captains of dangerous parts that they must avoid.
"Amerigo thinks that this new land isn't just a bunch of islands. It's an entire continent, like Europe, Africa, and Asia," he said, his eyes still squinting. I did my best to resist hugging him; unlike the rest of us he had only aged a few years.
"Maybe. For now let's explore the land, and see if the is true," I said ruffling his head. "Now go play with Brazil for a little while, okay?"
Seven years a German cartographer later names the two continents after an Italian in my service. The name of this new land? America.

2. Bartolomeu Dias
I am of nation of setting records, I suppose. I am the first to abolish the death penalty, first to have a commercial wave farm- and the first to make it around the Cape of Good Hope. Ironic name actually, but my king thought it was more encouraging. Like the mortals, there's no point arguing with your boss.
Bartolomeu wanted to go further. I wonder what would have happened if he did actually. I may have done everything at a quicker pace, and I may have gotten a better stronghold in Asia.
I had good timing of course in my earliest voyages. Spain was still separate kingdoms, his southern region in the hands of others. The Crusades had opened up land routes, but after the wars were over Europe still wanted Asian goods. Ever after the hundred years war (which lasted 116 years) my dear friend England and France were still in bad shape. Netherlands was also being controlled by Spain, so he was out of the equation. I journeyed in peace, those days.
I was forced to turn back, unfortunately. I did not have the supplies or the strength to go further. So, my men set a stone padrõe into the sand, and headed home. Maybe another time.

So those are the first two explorers, I will post more throughout the twelve days, though they may not be Portuguese as I am using my old notes.

Obrigado, and don't forget to review/follow/favorite!
