I sat on the deck with Hazel, and talked to her as quietly as I could. Everyone else just thought we're having a conversation, but crap, I had no idea if she'll say yes or not. Hazel is always tricky to tell. I wish I got heads. Annabeth would say yes without second thought, but I had to get tails. Great. All she needs to know is that I'm faking it, and she needs to pretend that either she knows, she's willing to pretend to be my girlfriend, or something along those lines.

Hazel nodded, stroking a strand of her hair in her hand. She looked to be deep in thought. A small smile pulled at her lips, and she looked up.

"Alright, we'll pretend. But I don't want to be acting, too. It's not fun for me, otherwise" Hazel said, with a small smile.

"It isn't fun for me, either. But sure, yes, you can do whatever you want" I answered.

"Alright, whats going to happen is we're going to pretend we both like each other, but aren't together. We'll make it look like we don't know we like each other, but make it very obvious, just to freak some people out. But I have to go talk to Frank first, alright?" Hazel asked.

"Okay, okay, I'll do that. But, wait, you can't tell Frank!" I cried, a bit to loudly. Luckily, Annabeth was the only other person on deck, who just rolled her eyes.

"I can't act like I like you if I'm still in a relationship with him! I need to tell him that I'm acting, just to help you out. I won't say why, I'll just say that I am" Hazel said.

"Okay" I answered, a bit stressed out. Hazel nodded, and sat up. She walked away, but looked at me a bit longer than she should have. Alright, this could be easy.

Well, at least, I thought that at the time. Later that day, after flirting with her every time I saw her, and her flirting back, we took it a big step to far. When every single person was in the dining hall, including Reyna, Nico and Hedge, Hazel and I had both walked in the room at the same time. Everyone at this point had thought nothing of us, and it was getting harder. So I made the rash, and bad decision to take it to far. When Hazel walked in, I took her by the cheeks and kissed her. Before everyone had suspected that I liked Nico. Everyone rolled their eyes when I flirted with Hazel, expecting that I was just joking, and I couldn't let them believe I liked him. Some may say I have stubbornness issues. I don't know what their talking about.

Hazel had for a second pulled away, and then remembered. She didn't kiss back, but she didn't move away. I pulled back after a dreadful six seconds of the most awkward kiss I had ever given. Everyone had gasped. For a few minutes no one talked, until Frank and Nico both stood up, and charged me very fast. Piper was about to as well, but Annabeth held her back. It had been the worst mistake that I had ever made. I looked at Hazel. She looked at me. We were both thinking the exact same thing. Why the hell did I ever agree to this.

I decided the best decision would be to run. Run as fast as I could, far away from the two raging Demigods. And so I did. As far as I could, which was unfortunately the freaking deck. I stood, my back to the railing, and I tried to explain.

"Guys, guys! I was just joking! Just a...you know, a friendly kind of thing! It was just a joke! I'd never kiss Hazel if I meant it!" I said, with a nervous laugh.

"That's my girlfriend!" Frank roared.

"That's my sister!" Nico yelled, his voice very high pitched, which I wasn't expecting.

"Okay, okay, I get it! I know why you're mad, and I would be too, but I did it because I'm just trying to cover something! Hazel agreed to help me" I say, trying to be as calm as possible. Frank looked at the ground for a moment.

"Is that what she was talking about this morning?" He muttered to himself. His eyes narrowed. "Never, ever do that again. Or I swear I could kill you."

"Understood! Completely understood!" I said, nodding. Frank walked away, with a loud huff. Nico didn't seem to convinced.

"Alright, what kind of cover?" He asked, sword ready. Wow, I really wished I got Annabeth. I'd only have Percy to deal with. Well, actually, probably also Hazel and Piper. Wow, really bad idea for the coin thing. I should have just gone back to Piper.

"You wouldn't understand, Nico" I say. Nico's grip tightened on his sword.

"What wouldn't I understand?" Nico asked, his voice as sharp as ice. "I told you my secret. I told you the thing that no one else in the whole world knows, other than Cupid. I told you something that I would have taken to my grave, and now you're saying that there is some kind of stupid secret that I wouldn't understand? F*ck you, Jason Grace!"

"Umm..." I said. Well crap, he put up a good argument. "I'm bisexual."

"And you'd hide that with pretending to date my sister? Hazel? You could have at least told me that. But it still sounds faulty. What else?" Nico asked.

"I like this guy" I said, my face dropping. Nico rolled his eyes.

"Pick somebody else to cover for you next time, Grace. Not Hazel" Nico said, walking away.

My heart was beating really fast. I was completely terrified. I seriously thought he was going to kill me.

I walked down to the dining hall. Nico, nor Frank and Hazel were there. Everyone looked at me, expecting me to say something.

"Guys" I said, almost coughing. "I think I'm in love, and it's not with Hazel."
