Chapter 1: Meeting Starlight
Our story starts with a certain draconneous. Discord. (begin dramatic music) Wait, wait, and wait. Let's just start the story, please?
Discord was walking through Ponyville one day, creating chaos as usual. Random cotton candy clouds, tacos, and jackalopes. Then, as if on cue, he shuddered. He shuddered again. He knew it was just a power surge, just his inner chaos trying to be set free. So he thought to himself, "What would happen if I let the chaos loose? Just a little?"
So he did. He shook and quaked. There was a blinding flash of light. All of a sudden, he realized that there was singing. He looked up, and there she was. A unicorn that looked a bit like Trixie, but younger. She hit the floor with a thud. When she opened her eyes and saw a dracconeus looming over her, she freaked. She began running away, bumping into ponies, stands, and pretty much everything else.
Discord realized that he had done this. He had summoned a unicron. So he decided to have a little fun. He snapped his fingers, and a brick wall appeared in front of the unicorn. She slowly walked backwards into one last thing: Discord. She looked up and stared. Discord grinned at her. "What's wrong? I won't bite," he said, growing a set of fangs. "Don't be shy now, what's your name?" he asked her. She shuddered a bit and stammered, "M-my name i-is St- Starlight." Discord smiled even wider and said, "Starlight? Do you happen to know Twilight? Starlight frowned. "Who's Twilight?" Discord shrugged. "Come, I'll introduce you to her." Starlight's eyes widened. "Actually, I um, have to go… that way." She galloped away. Discord smiled to himself. What a wonderful new friend, he thought.
