After that, we went back to the guild and told everything to the others. Of course, they were very surprised. The team Natsu, who came back with him earlier, proposed me to be a part of their team. I was so happy, but I refused. I wanted to do missions alone to prove them I deserved to be in the guild. After all, I didn't want to be accepted only because I was Natsu's sister. I wanted to be accepted and to be in a team thanks to my abilities. In fact, it was more to convince myself than to convince them, but they understood that and let me do as I pleased. And so, I started doing missions alone and things went pretty well. It had already been two months since I joined to guild when the Master asked me to come in his office with the Team Natsu and Romeo.

-I'll make it quick. I need all of you to go look into something for me.

-And what might that be? Asked Erza

-There is some unknown wizard killing animals and destroying forests close to Hargeon. Find him and arrest him. Be cautious, we don't know what type of magic he uses. If the army can't handle this, it means it's dangerous. I don't want any of you to be hurt, that's why I'm sending so much people.

-Do we have some kind of description?

-I'm sorry Gray. We have absolutely no information about him.

Looking beside me, I saw Romeo lighting and extinguishing his finger.

-Can I ask why is Romeo coming along? I said, worried for the boy. After all, Master did say it would be dangerous.

-He's taking Wendy's place since she caught a cold, explained Makarov. I nodded and headed out to go pack my stuff since we are supposed to sleep at Hargeon. Lucy and Erza went with me. They said it was for my protection, but I think it's more because they are curious about what my house looks like.

-We never saw your house. Is it really close to the guild? Asked the blonde.

-Close? It's right beside it. Look! I said, showing them a two floors house.

-Wow! That's a pretty big place. But, I guess you can afford it since all you've been doing these past two months was missions.

-Yeah. I always liked having a lot of space. Even though it sometimes feel to big for me only. I wanted to get a co-tenant, but Natsu refused. He thinks it's too risky.

I opened the door and let the girls in. Dropping my purse on the couch, I went upstairs and started to prepare my luggage. I could hear the "Wow!" and the "Cool!" of my teammates.

-You know, my house isn't worth of that much amazement.

-But it's so nice! I love the decoration!

-Thanks Lucy! I'm the one who did it.

And so, we continued talking while waiting for the others. We, then, went to the station and took a train towards our destination while chatting happily.

But we didn't know we wouldn't come back as happy as when we left. And I didn't know that this mission would change my life forever.

I was walking slowly, depressing at the scenery around me. You might wonder why. It's simply because all I see is dead; the trees, the birds, the flowers, everything. I was feeling really unwell. After all, that meant I was still unable to control my powers completely. It meant that I was still having attacks and that I was still killing people by accident. It also meant a lot of other sad things.

Anyways, that's what I was doing when I heard some voices.

-I can't believe Firey got lost during a mission.

-She's not lost; she went to check something on her own.

-Whatever, she should already be back.

I recognized those voices. They belonged to Fairy Tail's members. I hid behind a nearby tree, but I wasn't fast enough. Natsu had already seen my shadow.

-Hey! Wait! Who are you? Are you the one destroying this forest? And killing animals? He asked me.

I couldn't deny that, it was the truth even if I didn't mean to. I was going to answer to his first question when I felt a huge amount of magic overwhelming me, making me get out of my hideout. I faintly heard them hold their breaths as they recognized me.

-Shit. I-I don't want to hurt them... I muttered as I lost my mind to the darkness of my powers.

-Firey-

I was wandering in the forest, looking for the criminal we came to arrest. I left the others a while ago to be by myself so that I could think. To do so, I needed complete silence and that was impossible with the team Natsu. I was now on my way back, because I just couldn't figure out his reasons for killing and destroying everything. Hearing their voices, I began to walk faster. I could now see them in the distance. I stopped in my tracks when I saw their expressions. They had terrified faces and they were running away from something. Or should I say 'someone'?

-Hurry! We have to find Firey and get out of this forest as fast as possible! Screamed Natsu.

I started running towards them and I was going to tell them I was right there, but I saw an unknown person. I was too far to see his face, but he was emitting a dark aura and I could feel his magic from where I was. That was not a good thing, it meant he was going to attack and it would hurt. Just as I thought that, Romeo fell to the ground and hurt his right leg. He was no longer able to stand, no matter how many times he tried.

-Romeo!

Natsu looked back and saw the kid struggling to get up. He would not make it in time and he knew it, it was written all over his face. However, I could. I was close enough, now. I ran even faster towards him. I was almost beside Romeo when Natsu noticed me.

-Firey!

I reached Romeo and hugged him, shielding him from whatever was coming.

-Fireyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I could see Erza and the others holding my brother back. They were all crying as they did so.

-Don't! Let me go! I have to get them! I have to SAVE them!

-I'm sorry! I'm sorry Natsu, but I can't!

Lucy was hugging him by behind, burying her crying face in his back. That was the last thing I saw before being hit by the stranger's magic. Even if I never died, I knew this was what it felt like. I hurt so much that I couldn't retain a scream of pain and a few tears. I looked down and saw Romeo. He was also crying, but it wasn't because of the pain. My shielding method had worked and he wasn't hurt by the magic.

-Firey-nee-san?

-It's...gonna be...alright...Don't...worry...

My voice was so faint that I wasn't sure if he heard me. I understood he did when he hugged me tighter, hiding his face.

-NOOOOOOOO!

As Natsu screamed, the pain stopped. It was so sudden that a sigh of relief escaped my lips. I could no longer feel my body so I fell to the ground, sweeping Romeo along. There was no lingering pain, like all that happened was just a dream. But, I felt drained of all my energy.

-I never meant to hurt her... Why can't I control myself? Muttered a voice so low that I was probably the only one who heard it.

I saw the stranger's face and I immediately knew who he was, even if I only ever heard about him. Even if I only knew what my brother had told me about him. However, he was slightly different from what Natsu told me. I don't know why, but I knew this man never meant to hurt anyone; today, or in the past years. I could see it in his eyes. The pain he felt from hurting me and the tears coming down his cheeks. He fell to the ground, right beside us, and I felt my mind going blank. His name escaped my lips as I lost consciousness.
