A/N: Welcome fellow readers to another chapter of my story. I know its been a while but I had my reasons. I don't want this arc to be too long maybe two more chapters and that's it. The whole point of this arc is for him to gain some experience not necessarily strength. Anyways please enjoy and review.
The Beginning
It had been several long tedious hours since our young protagonist, codenamed Yami had begun his year long journey that Danzo hoped he would gain. The thing that could make the very difference that could save your life in battle. Experience, the much needed tool that he so desperately needed after being locked away deep underground beneath the very being that he considered his home for a majority of his young life…Konoha. Honestly he had forgotten how fresh air felt like after his long stint underground. The air that bounced off his skin reminded him of what exactly he had before that incident where it cost him an eye and some irreversible psychological trauma.
What he had before being brought in by Danzo was barely anything that someone would be proud of. Danzo-sama as he had grown to call him had given him what he secretly yearned for…a home. Along came acquaintances, knowledge and most of all he had given him the power that he oh so desired for all those times he was at hell's gates. Danzo also had become sort of a father-figure in his young developing mind. He knew that he had a father and mother, but he had yet to find out their true identities. Whether he ever did find them or not right now he didn't really care.
Perhaps they were killed or rather they did the logical thing and abandoned their own to survive in this harsh world. His questions were of course still left unanswered even when he pleaded with the old war-hawk to give him at least a hint. The answer was always a straight no, didn't matter how much he pleaded. If he couldn't tell him then there was definitely a reason why. Since he had always been alone and surviving all that bullshit that plagued his mind was hidden in the deepest recess of his mind and heart. That shit that he had seen throughout his life would turn any young normal kid insane. Now he knew that he wasn't the only one that has gone through rough times, but it was still bullshit nonetheless.
The great village of Konoha prided itself on its thriving economy and military prowess. However, you would be naïve to think that was the whole truth. Dig deeper and you would realize that it was all an outer shell, a sham. Start exploring the village and you would find pockets of people that only wanted death and misery. Every night while on his search for food he would witness famine, rape, murder. Of course this only happened on the most remote parts that every village had no matter how huge they seemed.
Never had he seen the people respond to the cries of help of a starving child or a traumatized rape victim simply seeking some help. No these cases were left alone even by the Anbu who he damned well knew were watching it with some degree of satisfaction. That's not to say that no one helped them. No he had witnessed certain good natured folks that really seemed to care without payoff in their mindsets. However, those were far too few to count, but they were there.
If some passing civilian were to spare a glance in his direction they would probably feel pity for him, along with other emotions that will go unspoken for now. It was the exact opposite however. In his mind he was the one that felt pity for them being oblivious on what exactly happens right in front of their own streets late at night. That was when the real stuff happened that the great and powerful Hokage convincingly hides and passes it off.
He knew though that no matter how much the Hiruzen wanted to help his people it was simply impossible to save them all. No village running today had a perfect setup running. There was always someone that simply didn't want any part of peace and prosperity that good natured folks dreamed for. Those people don't care about others and only care about themselves and how much misery they can cause to the happy people around them.
Those types of people are the ones that deserve nothing but pain and eventually death. He had made it personal to rid of this world once and for all, but he lacked one thing, power. Without power, no matter how good your intentions are nothing will get done. Power is universal and is greatly respected. If you have it then things will get done. Whether they are good or bad things will get done regardless.
When he overheard some kids yelling that they wanted to be Hokage he laughed at the thought. The title of being Hokage was worthless in his eyes. The job required you to sit in your desk and sign paper after meaningless paper until you were finally done. Until even more paper would pile at your desk every day. So the mere idea of him ever becoming Hokage was laughable and beyond him. His dream was more ambitious. He wanted to change the entire world not just one village. He would start with taking out anyone who he deemed would only pollute the world and make it even worse than it currently was. That was the first step of his plan.
But that was for the future, for now he needed to figure out where exactly his journey would begin. There were so many possibilities to choose from, but where was the best starting location. His thinking was interrupted when his very acute hearing picked up a faint sound that seemed to belong to a girl. The tone came with an obvious sound of help. He didn't need any more convincing and just like that his journey had begun.
XXX
30 minutes later…
His ears brought him to the site of a small girl looking at him with tear ridden eyes. Her physical features were very unique at least in his eyes. Her eyes were large and purple. Her hair color was snow white, going down stopping just short of her shoulder blades. Her clothing he would say was the strangest. Especially since they were in a location where beasts and bandits would roam freely. They seemed to be meant to be worn during bedtime. Her small arms seemed to be grasping a plush brown teddy as if her own life depended on it.
Another image that made him unconsciously clench his fists a bit tighter was the splatter of dried blood on her white face. Her clothing was full of it as well. He needed to know more about her and the only one who could tell him was the small purple eyed girl gazing straight at him. He tried his hardest to not look like a threat to the young girl but when you're fully dressed in a black hood and mask it's a little tough to achieve that.
Her eyes vibrated as large globs of tears were about to burst forth and spill feeling that her life was about to end by the masked guy staring at her. However, her cry did not come as her mouth was being firmly closed by the masked guy.
Yami held his hand firmly over her tiny mouth knowing fully well that she was about let out a tremendous scream if he let her. She was afraid of him and with a good reason considering his appearance. He brought his other hand towards his face and gently unclasped the white menacing mask revealing his face to the little girl.
"Don't be afraid of me girl. I only came because you needed help right." His eyes briefly glanced at the stain of blood on her face. "I see that you have gone through some hard times recently so please let me help you."
The white haired girl was feeling a mixture of emotions right now. She was mesmerized by the boy's different colored eyes and worried about the situation back home. She breathed in as much as she could since her mouth was still being covered.
Yami saw this and quickly removed his hand from her mouth trusting that she wouldn't scream anymore. He saw her take in large gulps of air trying to settle her undoubtedly growing nerves. He bent down just a smidge; his multicolored eyes centered directly with her own purple ones and asked some questions.
"Girl, what is your name? What are you doing here all alone wearing just your sleeping clothes?"
The small white haired girl looked directly at the strange yet handsome multi eye-colored boy ahead of her. She griped her fluffy teddy bear with renewed vigor and responded shyly, "H-Hitomi."
He noticed the anxiety in her words as she struggled just to give him her name. Nodding he responded with his own, "Nice to meet you Hitomi-san, my name is Yami." Seeing as introductions were taken care of, he unconsciously brought his hand towards her making her flinch back. He was a bit surprised by her actions, but knew they weren't meant to offend. She was simply afraid. He brought his hand back and pointed to his own cheek, "Didn't mean to scare you like that, but can you tell me where that red stuff came from. I promise to make it better if you tell me who or what did it."
Hitomi followed his example scraping the dried blood from her pale cheeks. She gazed at the foreign substance for a while eventually frowning. Small chills began running through her small frame once again as the memories of her entire clan being massacred came back full force.
Seeing this, Yami deduced that she had seen some people get killed right in front of her. Perhaps while they were sleeping he wasn't sure. Now the only question that remained was whether or not her parents had made it out of their alive. Or was the blood on her cheek belonging to her parents. He hoped that wasn't the case. "Hitomi-san, did your parents escape with you?"
Her trembling stopped for a moment at the mention of her parents. She nodded furiously, "Y-Yes they did. W-We escaped together while the bad men killed our clan." She looked back towards the woods and started trembling again, "B-But I don't know where they are now. I-I got separated from mama and papa."
Yami nodded and released an internal sigh of relief. At least he knew that her parents were still alive somewhere out there. "That's good news Hitomi-san. Now I just need you to point out where you think you lived before."
Hitomi didn't know what to think about the sudden confidence that she felt when staring at his small smile. He definitely wasn't the same as the bad men that she had seen before. She held her head down showing she was still very cautious. Finally she relented and told him, "Umm I think it's that way Y-Yami-kun."
Yami was a bit surprised at being called that but with his emotions being locked and all you couldn't really tell. His eyes traveled towards the pointed location. Nodding he turned back, "Listen carefully Hitomi-san. I'm going to pick you up and together we will find the place that you came from. If the bad men that did this to your people are still there I will take care of them for you understood."
Hitomi didn't really understand what 'taking care of them' really meant, but she didn't really care at the moment. "O-okay Yami-kun…I just want to find mama and papa as fast as possible."
Yami gave a small smile towards her direction making the little girl blush. "Don't worry Hitomi-chan. I will make it happen." Saying that he put his mysterious white mask back onto his face. Making sure it was secured tightly he then proceeded to gently lift the white haired girl. "Hold on tight Hitomi-chan."
Doing exactly as she was told she tightened her grip on his pitch black cloak and shut her eyes as the world around her quickly became a blur at the speed the masked boy was going at.
XXX
1 hour later…
It had taken quite a while to find the place where she had escaped from. After some due diligence on his part he managed to find the large deserted campsite. It wasn't like it was hard either. Fresh blood still lingered strongly around the area. It didn't really affect him like it normally should since he has smelled it his whole life.
That however wasn't true for little Hitomi who was having a hard time trying to keep whatever she had inside her stomach.
While Yami checked out the camp, Hitomi was carefully trying to be silent like he had instructed. He needed to make sure that no enemy remained behind. His cunning eyes peered through the slits of the white mask and carefully observed the seemingly abandoned campsite. Unfortunately it seemed that
They were currently just outside the camp grounds looking in. Yami had instructed for the girl to remain as quiet as she could. He didn't know if the people that attacked her clan were still there.
His cunning eyes peered through the slits on the white mask, observing the area carefully for anything out of the normal. Unfortunately it seemed that the bandits who had attacked from before had long since passed through. Just as he was about to call it a group of three landed right in the middle of the campsite. Trembling could be felt from behind him; Hitomi's eyes were wide with terror. There before her were the men that had participated in the slaughter of her entire clan.
"Hitomi-chan, I will make the bad people disappear. Do you want that? I can easily make it happen."
The white-haired girl looked at him like he was some god granting her a wish. She shook her head, "Y-Yes! Yami-kun, make them go away."
The masked boy nodded and silently made his way into the camp grounds after getting his answer.
The three generic bandits who were busily arguing against each other quickly spotted the black clad boy who was fast approaching them. The middle one of the three pulled out a kunai and pointed it at the mysterious boy. "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing? This place is owned by us so get out!"
Yami paid no heed to his questioning, continued to go forward and stopping right in front of the three bewildered men. "Tell me something, who ordered the slaughter of these innocent people? Where can I find them?
The three of them stood confused at the blatant threat that this kid was spouting. Looking at each other once again to confirm what they heard. Soon after they busted out laughing, "Hahahaha, who do you think you are to be ordering us around kid? Why don't you go back from whatever rat hole you came from and stop pretending to be a shinobi."
Yami proceeded to remove his blade from its holster then sliced the man's arm off which made the kunai fall dully to the floor. He raised the blood soaked blade at the three and asked again. "Let me ask you again. Where is the trash responsible for this?"
The one who had his arm sliced off had passed out short after from the enormous amount of blood he had lost. Meanwhile the other two stood shocked as their eyes were glued towards their downed teammate who was now missing an entire arm courtesy of the boy standing before them. They were quickly snapped out of their individual trance when the question floated in their ears once again. They weren't stupid enough to think they would live if they didn't at least answer him. It wasn't like it was engraved to them that betraying once comrade is bad. Hell, their supposed master didn't even care a damn about them anyways.
The taller of the two quickly stepped up and begged for mercy. "A-alright p-please we'll tell you what you want to know! Just have mercy on us!
The masked boy didn't respond to their desperate pleas. His blade quickly came back to its holster. "Be quick about it. My patience wanes even thinner."
The one who had stepped up earlier furiously nodded his head agreeing with his terms. "L-Leo-sama is the one who ordered us to kill them. W-we just wanted easy money! You can understand that right!?
"Where did they go? He asked as his killing intent began to rise.
The bandit took a deep gulp feeling the intense killing intent rolling out in waves from the boy in front of him. Pointing to his right he explained the situation. "L-Last i heard they said they were heading towards a small town near the Wave village."
Yami looked around him and asked. "Then for what reason are you here? I see nothing of worth surrounding me anymore. Only the stench of blood fills my senses."
Yami noticed that the man was beginning to fidget quite a bit. He knew that he was about to attack, thus he acted accordingly and swiftly caught his hand which held a sharp blade in it. He then applied some pressure until an audible pop echoed throughout the hollow camp grounds.
"AHHHH! y-you fucking brat! I'm going to fucking kill you like we did to those worthless scum." The bandit with the now broken forearm screamed at him, murderous intentions flowing through his veins.
His partner saw the entire scene but decided against helping his partner knowing full well that if he got involved it would only quicken his demise.
Yami quickly appeared in front of the furious man and spoke, "If you truly feel that way then you better act fast. Your death is in my sights." The masked boy smirked under his mask seeing the man's eyes widen before a sickening sound echoed as his blade plunged into the man's heart instantly killing him.
While the blade was still plunged into the man's heart he spoke to the terrified bandit. "Don't make me repeat myself, tell me why you are here and I will spare you."
The mans eyes went from his fellow partner who had died of blood loss to the other who was slumped against the blade through his heart. His heartbeat picked up tremendously realizing his current situation was extremely dire. His shaken eyes met the white mask and nodded. "F-Fine I-I'll tell you our reason for being here. J-Just please have mercy and let me live after."
The masked boy didn't reply to his request. He just wanted to know their reasons for coming back to this place. He had an idea as to why but he wanted to confirm his theory first.
The remaining bandit settled himself a bit before answering. "Leo-sama ordered us to come back here to see if we could find a little girl. He said she had escaped with her parents about a day ago."
Yami pushed the dead body from his blade, wiping it clean befrore holstering it once more. "What if I told you that I found a small white-haired child just wandering these dangerous forests alone. Is it possible that we could work together and personally deliver it to him? I'm sure he would reward us for bringing the girl back don't you think?
The man stood silent not sure what to think at his suggestions. He couldn't tell if the boy was serious or if he was just mocking him since he didn't have any other choice. "Are you serious?
The masked boy nodded, "Why wouldn't I be. This seems like the most logical thing to do. This way we are both reward right."
The bandit just nodded amazed by what the boy was saying to him after he had killed both of his partners before his very eyes. "...Alright bring her to me so we can head out. I'll just tell Leo-sama that we ran into some trouble and you helped me out after he killed the other two right."
Hitomi didn't know what to think. Had he betrayed her. Had this handsome honest boy really give her up just like that. Her tiny heart began beating feeling an overwhelming sense of dread and despair thinking this was it for her. She would never see her family again. Her worries fortunately were for nothing as she heard Yami's reassuring voice comfort her.
"Do not be afraid Hitomi-chan, what you heard was just a lie. I believe your parents were captured by that Leo-sama he mentioned and if we go directly to him, we will find your parents. This plan is just to trick the bad men to lead us right to him understand now."
Hitomi opened her eyes and nodded feeling better after hearing his plan. She was still a bit hesitant but in reality she had no other choice than to believe her masked savior. "O-Okay Yami-kun...if you really think this way I will meet mama and papa then I will follow."
Yami gently picked her up and disappeared once again quickly appearing in front of a startled man. He slowly placed the white-haired girl onto the ground before facing the bandit. "Is this what you guys were aiming for?
The bandit stood with mouth agape seeing his target right in front of him. This was the sole reason they had even come back to this dump again. His grin grew thinking of all the money he would get and now that the others were dead he would be even richer. "Yes this is perfect. Just what master Leo was looking for."
Hitomi shuddered under his diabolical gaze, which Yami saw and remedied with a hand on her small shoulder.
The masked boy nudged for the bandit to begin moving. "Let's head out before it becomes dark. Lead the way."
The bandit quickly snapped out of his daze agreeing with the masked boy. "Yeah let's hurry. "Leo-sama is probably wondering what's taking us so long anyways."
XXX
3 hours later…
The daylight was almost gone. They had spent it mostly on getting to the place. In reality it wouldn't taken him about 30 minutes to get there if he knew where the place was. Nonetheless they had arrived and now his plan was about to go into affect.
The bandit who had led him here went on ahead entering the well-hidden camp grounds. His silent exterior that was present almost the entire way here was quickly broken when a shit eating grin spread across his crusty face. In his mind he believed that he was safe, now that he was surrounded by his fellow men and leader. This would be true if Yami was an ordinary boy playing shinobi, but unfortunately for them this day would mark their end.
"Leo-sama I have brought the girl that you had requested." He bowed paying his respects to his great leader that stood before him.
The great Leo stepped out of his small shelter revealing himself to the masses. He donned a white robe, white sandals and plenty of jewelry around his body. His hair was covered by his white hood while his face was shadowed. He walked into the light revealing his bright red eyes to him and his stature which he would guess would be a solid 6 feet. All in all this man looked intimidating but he felt no threat from him.
He pointed to him and asked. "Who is this ridiculously dressed kid behind you? His voice was deep and held some authority.
The bandit looked at the masked boy for a split second before turning his head back to his master. "This boy killed two of the others you sent with me. He plans to kill us all next." he practically yelled to his master while feeling an intense glare at his back.
Leo stood silent for a while before letting out a small chuckle. "...Really now...how very amusing." He walked even further into the light before pulling his hood back revealing his jet black hair. "Did it ever occur to you that bringing him here would only make things worse?
The bandit gulped while his eyes did everything in their power NOT to make eye contact with him. "U-Umm I-I guess it didn't...b-but he gave me no choice. H-he told me he would kill me if I didn't bring him here. You have to understand Leo-sama!
The red eyed man simply stalked even closer to the trembling man until he was directly in front of him. "I understand, I would've done the same thing if I were in that situation. It's only natural right guys."
A chorus of laughter broke out in the camp. Knowing full well what was about to happen to the poor man.
A man cupped his hands around his mouth and screamed, "Burn him t a crisp Leo-sama! Others followed his example encouraging Leo even more.
Leo put his palm against the man and grinned. "Did you hear that? They're practically begging for it." With a grunt the bandit exploded into flames until nothing but ashes were left which the wind took immediately.
Screams of yes were heard around the camp. The image of the charred man replaying in their minds.
Yami saw all this and was honestly surprised. Not at what had happened to the man but at how it happened. He saw no chakra with his sharingan making him question how the man had preformed that jutsu. He was snapped from his thoughts by the man's deep voice.
"Boy, what say you? Did you really come to destroy me and my fellow minions? Or have you perhaps reconsidered after seeing my display of power. I wouldn't hold it against you if you did. Plenty have surrendered before I even did anything."
Not even bothering to listen to the delusional man he gently pushed the white-haired girl forward.
Hitomi at first resisted but quickly submitted knowing that his was all part of his plan. At least that's what the young girl hoped.
Leo's ominous grin visibly grew feeling excitement at finally retrieving what he had aimed for from the very beginning. He forcefully grabbed the timid girl from her hair resulting in a scream from the child. "Finally, after so much time spent tracking your fucking clan I have what I needed all along." He cupped the girls round face with his big burly hands and drew her dangerously close. "Do you know how much fucking money your worth little girl? A whole shit ton that's how much."
He harshly threw her back making her trip and land on her behind. "I guess being the last of your clan does that huh. Too bad your pathetic clan lost all the power that made people fear your generations ago." He pointed to the forest and mocked even further. "Now you lowly people spend your pathetic time slowly dyeing out in these crappy forests. Fucking sad when you realize just how much people actually feared you guys."
Hitomi was trembling as the verbal assault continued. Tears now streaked her round face and her hair was now covered in dirt and grim. She had heard that her clan was once a mighty one that was feared by everyone for their power. What that power was exactly she had no idea. It had been forgotten amongst the clan and nobody tried to dig for information. Only a scarce few still remembered them but those few only held resentment for them.
She removed those awful thoughts from her mind and asked the question she wanted to know. "...D-Did you kill my parents?
The red-eyed man chuckled before shaking his head at the little girl. He brought a hand to his chest and bowed mocking her even more. "I'm sorry it seems I made a mistake in saying you were the last of your pathetic clan. There is one other that still survives." He signaled for his minions to bring her out. "Bring me that whore out here."
Hitomi looked over at the sound of chains being dragged and gasped at the image of her brutally bruised and beaten mother. "M...Mama...
The older looking version of Hitomi brought her lifeless eyes towards the faint sound of what she thought sounded familiar. Upon seeing her daughter on the ground she couldn't help but run to her thinking it was just an awful illusion.
The sweet reunion of mother and daughter was of course short lived. Leo harshly batted her mother away leaving her clutching her bruised stomach as she struggled to take a breath. "Settle down bitch. The only reason you still have a pulse is for my men to entertain themselves whenever they feel like it. After your usefulness is used up we'll sell you. I'm sure you'll fetch a fair price in the black market being the only other surviving member of the once terrifying clan."
Hitomi screamed at seeing her always kind mother being kicked away, "Mama! As she desperately tried to run to her mother she was restrained easily by the red-eyed man.
After he restrained the two with some rope he turned his shining red-eyes towards the hooded boy who was eerily watching them through his white mask.
"I'm very grateful for bringing her to me, but since I already have her I'm afraid your usefulness is all dried up." He slowly approached the stoic boy who was just standing there as if waiting for something. "Unless you have something else to offer you will die right here."
Yami remained silent for a couple moments before giving him a response. "Actually I do have something to offer you, but I'm not sure you're going to like it." Slowly his arms spread apart until they were at full length. "All your 'comrades' will die right now." True to his word all the surrounding people dropped instantly. Fresh blood coated their clothing coming directly from their hearts.
Leo was completely still, shocked that his entire people were wiped out in a blink of an eye. His eyes went to the boy's feet narrowing upon seeing the dirt pushed apart like he had moved. The problem was he was positive that he didn't.
Yami crouched a bit and spoke. "I'm guessing you're wondering how it happened. We'll let me demonstrate it once again, but this time...much closer." In Yami's perspective the world stopped completely. The air, the leaves, the birds and the people around him froze. Only he could move when he activated his special ability. Danzo had told him that the eye he gave him gave him the power to stop time itself. He called it the Eye of Time. Capable of doing what the name implied and stopping the flow of time completely.
So far he had only used it on several occasions since he had acquired it. His breaking point was twice a day before he would succumb to extreme exhaustion and would pass out as a result. Danzo had told him that only he could use it from the amount of chakra the eye needed to be powered. Any other person would die, but since he had already such a large pool of chakra it was a perfect fit. When the Kyuubi was taken into account he was capable of exceeding that limitation several times over.
Meanwhile in the present time, Hitomi and her mother were shocked when the guards all fell down in unison when the masked boy had said they would. The next scene would shock them even more. Thre before their very eyes stood her masked savior with his blade stuck straight through the evil man's chest.
Leo was speechless, he didn't even see him move and now he was dealt a death blow. "...How? His mouth leaked blood as he tried to talk.
With his free hand he removed his white mask revealing his different colored eyes to the man. "We all have something special. Sometimes theirs are more powerful than your own. With this eye I can tell that your own powers are trying to close the hole in your heart. Unfortunately for you the blade will not allow it meaning the end for you."
Leo clenched his teeth feeling infuriated by what he was saying. Fresh globs of blood tricked down his mouth. The next moment his entire body bursted into flames. "Get the fuck away from me! With a powerful kick he managed to kick the boy away from him barely managing to stay on his feet.
Even though he didn't show it his own chakra was completely gone. That didn't faze him however since he just needed to pull out a bit of the Kyuubi's power. The very next moment his entire body was covered in a dastardly blood-red cloak restoring his empty chakra levels sky high. He flicked his blade removing the stain of blood coating it. He walked forward, "There's nothing you can do from here. Your death is certain...Leo-sama."
Leo quickly fell down on both knees before dropping to the floor, desperately trying to find his own breath. 'Fuck it seems this is it for me. To think that a kid brought me down without so much of a fight. Pathetic…'
Seeing the man fall, he calmed himself dispersing the Kyuubi's chakra until there was none left. With the white mask still on his hand, he walked towards the dead body and turned it into ashes. Once that was done his attention turned towards the pair of females holding each other tightly while their attention were on each other.
Hitomi looked at her mother and spoke. "Mama, where is Papa? Just one look from her mother was all she needed to realize the answer to her question. Her eyes watered as the memories of happier times began to flood her mind.
The mother held her daughter as a sad smile graced her face. Her beloved husband was killed for the sake of her survival. She didn't want to leave him knowing full well what would happen, but her husband was insistent that if she didn't make it Hitomi would be all alone. She couldn't survive by herself that much was certain. She wasn't even sure if her daughter had survived after being separated, but her husband kept hope and it wasn't in vain. Here in her arms was their own creation reminding her that somewhere he was watching.
Her eyes traveled towards the cloaked boy wondering what would happen next. "What will happen to us? She asked not sure what the boy planned next with them.
Yami merely fastened his white mask back on shadowing himself once more. His eyes focused on the older looking Hitomi. "Nothing, you are free to do as you please."
The woman narrowed her eyes not believing his brief response. "You can't be serious. You mean to tell me you did all this and not expect anything in return?
The masked boy simply nodded. "I saw a little girl in need of my help. So I did." He pointed to his front and spoke. "If you need some direction, head north from our location. There is a town there where you could settle down."
Hitomi made her way to the masked boy and tugged on his pitch black cloak. "What will you do Yami-kun? Can't you at least take us there? She pleaded wanting to spend at least a couple more moments with her savior.
Yami stood silent for a while until a small nod came. "I suppose that's best. Wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you again Hitomi-chan." Securing his blade back into his holster the masked boy and company began their journey through the forest.
XXX
1 hour later…
It had been a silent stroll through the forest, but finally their eyes were presented with a bustling town. Yami looked at the many people walking about with children in hand and food in the other. His covered face turned towards the mother and daughter duo and waved towards the town. "This was the town I spoke about. It should be safe to start a new life here."
Hitomi and her mother looked at the town with in their eyes. They had heard about this town and how the inhabitants praised it at being peaceful and lively at the same time. Many times had they mentioned that this would be the perfect place to raise a family. Now that they were seeing it with their own eyes it was a bittersweet moment.
The mother was broken out of her daze when she felt a heavy bag fill her palm. First she looked at the boy then at the bag unsure what to think. Her question was answered before it was even asked.
"The bag contains about 2000$. It should be enough to let you rent out an apartment or something. Once your living quarters are assured, find a simple job and try your hardest to make yourself a new life for you and Hitomi."
The mother stood frozen not believing that someone so young could be so kind. Just as he was about to leave she reeled him into a big hug. "Thank you for saving me and my daughter shinobi-san. It truly means a lot that you did this for us. We will never forget your compassion."
The boy remained frozen unsure of how to respond. Finally he closed his arms around the woman and daughter and smiled. "Anytime, and you can call me Yami if you'd like."

A/N: and scene. Well tell me what you thought about this chapter. I know its been a long time, but certain circumstances prevented me from continuing. If your wondering why he has a Ninjutsu rating of 5 and a Hand-seals of 0 well that's simple. He isn't like a normal ninja who uses hand-seals to activate certain jutsu. His power which in his case was fire was all natural. His body is made of it. More will be revealed later as you see even more people with this same problem. Thank you for reading and please if you have any questions ask them. Have a wonderful day.
