The morning had a glow when the sun rose up to the hills of Ooo. There was dew on the pink candy glass. The windows had almost a frosting that gave the scene a cool touch. Gradually the weather had been cooling, however it seemed that today, it really hit the citizens how cold the weather had become. In the garden under the Princess' terrace, there would be new inventions, made solely for the purpose of keeping the flora alive and well. It made things much easier rather than replanting each time the weather changed. It was on morning like this that you could smell the sun in the trees, and the wind that blew from the far oceans. Those capable of understanding this truly enjoyed the change in scenery. Unlike in the past, before the Great War, the land of Ooo rarely experienced a seasonal weather change, and sometimes it would take years for winter to come. Of course there were exceptions such as the Ice Kingdom.
As for the Candy Kingdom, it was flourishing. Everyone was as happy as can be with Princess Bubblegum being in charge at all hours of the clock, and not a single inconvenience had come by. In her much occupied time, she managed to forge great alliances with the Fire Kingdom and Water Kingdom, this not only brought trade and goods to her land, but it also prevented any skirmishes. This made her social life a little… untouched. That is why in the last "meeting" with her friends, they decided to go to a concert featuring the best of the local bands of Ooo. "Always support your local venue" became the motto for the land of Ooo.
The day had finally come, and it seemed like it would be busy from the start. All the girls had to wake up early to pack up; they would spend nearly half the day driving to the Fire Kingdom. While the other half was spent there, enjoying not only the concert but the rest that the Fire Kingdom had to offer. Like any other road trip it would have its ups and downs, and many fierce battles of which music to play. The only thing they could agree on was to not play the "Worst Top 40" (as they liked to call it) of Ooo, granted, they did have a few guilty pleasures. There would be many selfies, stops at gas stations, and above all, having the restraint to not kill one another, perhaps one of the greatest challenges in the entire shtick. But somehow, to an almost admirable extent, LSP had the ability to almost always have control over the radio.
When they left from the candy kingdom the sky was a warm yellow, the sun was just about to rise up from the horizon. Like baby's breath complimented a bouquet the clouds seemed to make the sky fuller. There had been times where Bonnie wanted to create an invention to fly among the clouds, then she would remember that she had Lady Rainacorn and this became unnecessary. There was a few minutes where Bonnie had rolled down the car window and let the wind blew through her pink locks of hair, she could still feel it, feel the wind cradle her face, how cool it was to the touch. She had become so caught up in her work that she finally had the time to pause, pause and realize how beautiful the world still was, no matter how much wrong the inhabitants had done to her. That is where she stopped, she knew that if she continued she would be hurt. Instead of succumbing to her own thoughts, she decided to play some ancient music of the humans, she always did like how they created their arts.
She pulled out a device that could be compared to the human iPod. There had been many years where Bonnie and Marceline managed to scavenge the ancient computers to salvage whatever they could of human culture. This had resulted in the finding of trillions of songs, they seemed almost innumerable, however, with a supercomputer in the kingdom's basement, there was more than enough capability to store all of the songs they had found. Then there became the tedious task of going through the music and making their own "playlists" as the humans called it. Sometimes she would think about it and it would amaze her; that there was still a strong sense of human culture, and how much of an impact it had on the inhabitants of Ooo.
This song in particular she enjoyed, and sometimes she would listen to it over and over. After living many centuries it seemed almost irrevocably relevant to her life. She would lean on her arm on the edge between the end of the car and start of the window. Just enough that she could still feel the wind and taste the sky. Then she closed her gentle eyes and began humming to the song.
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed.
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain.
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all.
It would be another five or six hours before they were even close to the fire kingdom, sometimes distance has a way of fading away when you listen to the world and its music around you.
As for The Scream Queens, they had just entered through the front gates of the Fire Kingdom, and surprisingly enough, they were very punctual. This was because the Fire Kingdom had a very strict policy of being somewhere at the exact time stated. There would be more than enough time to set things up for the show, and for once they had people to actually carry things on stage, these roadies would be the first to help the group. Never before had they had people to actually help preparing a gig. This made the band excited and pumped up; they all began daydreaming of playing stadiums one day.
As each one of them got out of the van, there was a quake of yawns and stretching, and it seemed like they had all waited to do it together, but this was not the case. Bongo on the other had decided to plop himself on the ground, thanking the based gods that he had ground to lay on. Guy saw this and decided to follow in pursuit. The two vampires began laughing at their behavior; they couldn't expect anything less from their two favorite guys in the world. After a brief five minute break, the group began to start setting up. Because they were going to be playing to a larger audience this time, not only would they have to put everything in place but they would also have to do sound checks and ever a pre-show rehearsal. For once in their lives the band felt like professionals.
As for Marceline she put her hands on her hips and gave a deep inhale of the air around them, it was nice to get out of a van that reeked of pizza and hormones. Then she brushed her hair to the side and admired the scenery around them.
Everything had an orange tint, except themselves, in fact, had a blue tint. This was because of the spell that was put upon them and some of their instruments, so no one or nothing would get hurt. This also allowed them to succumb to the hot temperatures around them and play as if it was a breezy day, gotta love Fire Kingdom magic. Marceline looked around and thought to herself
Man, I really dig these flames, I should tell Keila to remind me to tell everyone in the Nightosphere to become arsonists for I don't know, maybe a week. Huh I wonder if they eat spicy foods too?
Once the guards escorted them to the stage where they were going to play, a horde of roadies came marching in, each with their respective box(es). All the band had to do was carry their own instruments. But never in any of their lives had they seen so many amps. They were about to get started before Guy got up and said:
"Anyone wanna go somewhere and find some food to eat yo?"
Like a band of hungry wolves all of them shouted in unison "YES!"
Instead of taking a cab they all decided to go on foot, and look around the kingdom. There was a very cynical side to the place, it reminded them of home in the Nightosphere, surely tonight's show would be one of their best.
The sidewalks were made of hot coal, and instead of lights they used candles and lamps, although, for the stage that they would be preforming on, there would be an array of lights in multitudes of color. Many of the citizens had gaudy outfits and were the exact opposite of what the band was used to wearing. Even the fire dogs had outfits, but theirs were a bit simpler compared to their owner counterparts.
They ended up in front of a fast food restaurant, a burger place of sorts, it would be something familiar to all of them. Each of their orders were different, and they ended up having more than enough for all of them. Bongo had a triple patty with extra cheese, Guy had a modest bacon burger, and Keila and Marceline had the Flamo-burger, guaranteed to burn your tongue off. Apparently the place had kept record of every try and fail, and so far no one had been able to completely enjoy the burger. However Marceline and Keila mostly chose it because it was all red. As the two girls were about to eat their burgers there was a large crowd around them, some were taking pictures and messaging their friends about it.
"DO IT FOR THE VINE!" someone in the crowd shouted.
"OH MY GOD THEY'RE REALLY GONNA DO IT!"
"IF YOU DIE CAN I HAVE YOUR HAIR"
The band didn't mind the attention, although they all wondered if it came from the fact that they would be playing tonight, or that the burger had become immensely famous to the kingdom. The two girls shot each other a look, that gave the meal a sense of competition. Then they sinked in their teeth at the same time. First they sucked up all the color and then proceeded to eat the red-less burger. Almost everyone in the room was in awe, even Guy and Bongo. This ended with the owner of the shop, a very filled up man, taking their pictures and getting a frame to hang it up on the restaurant wall.
"You want us to autograph it?" Marceline asked.
"Yes yes please do!" he replied.
"Hope you go to our show tonight, you're a really cool guy, plus your burgers are fantastic." She said with a smile.
Turns out, most of the food in the Fire Kingdom isn't super spicy, which was a surprise for all of them.
On the way back to the stage they all stopped by the park, and surprisingly enough there wasn't a single person there. Each of the members had thought to themselves how much of a weird place the Fire Kingdom was. All of the trees had an endless flame, most of the chairs and buildings were made with a metal that seemed to never lose its shine. Even the soil had been flaming hot coal. It was like everything around them had some kind of fire cliché, but it didn't really mind anyone.
The park had a swing set, Guy and Marceline went over there and sat on them.
"What do you think about all of this Marcy?"
"What do you mean?"
"We're on tour ya know, and it's like, we came back, and this time we are bigger than we ever were before. Not to mention you have that really great hit that you're going to perform for the first time tonight." He gave her a warm smile.
"You know, all my life, all I wanted was to create something. It's all because I was born and raised to destroy everything I see. So now that we're creating this band with a solid foundation, I really don't think I've ever been this happy in my life." Then she looked up to the sky that was becoming dark.
"Marceline, you're a great girl you know that? I mean, us as a band, we'd be nothing without you, and Keila."
"That means a lot coming from you Guy, it does. Thank you."
Then he got off the swing adjacent to her and gave her a big hug.
"I've always looked at you like a sister Marcy, we'll always take care of each other." Then he gave her a soft kiss on the forehead.
Marceline felt warmth inside of here, and knowing that she had friends who would do anything for her really made her feel special.
When the two walked back they ended up hearing a fierce debate between Keila and Bongo of how whether or not they should cover an ancient human song. They decided not to in the end. It was about two hours until the show and they began to head back. They would have to have a pre-show rehearsal and a sound check when they came back.
The Pink car pulled up into the gates of the fire kingdom, all of the group got excited it was almost time for the show. But there would be some extra time to get something to eat before they would go to the show. If they went to get food they would miss the opening show, but that didn't bother them at all, it was only rap bear and his crew. Water princess on the way to the burger place felt extremely uncomfortable because she felt as if she was going to evaporate at any moment, but because of the spell, she wouldn't. At the restaurant they all got into the booth, and that's where Bubblegum overheard a conversation near them.
"Those vampires, man they're something."
"Yea I know, I wonder how they even sucked out all of the spices too!"
"It didn't even phase them bro!"
"Yea, I think it's cool though, we should try to eat the Flamo-burgers too! I want my picture on a frame!"
"Hah! No! U wanna explode?"
Vampires were here? Glob, I just hope it isn't Marceline, I'm going to regret this entire trip. Fudge, even if I see her I can't let it bother me, these are her friends too… I should just hope that it isn't them, I'm really going to hate this.
"Yo P-bubs, you chill? You seem, like, distraught, n' stuff."
"No no LSP I'm totes fine, I'm just a little nervous about the crowd in the show, I don't really like crowds too much."
"Oh pfft, you'll be fine, just stick with us."
With that, the entire awkward conversation was avoided.
I just really hope I don't see her in the crowd.
It was almost time, in about fifteen they would go on, Rap Bear was just about to finish this last chorus and they would go on. Marceline thrived in this feeling, the rush, the crowd, the sweat, all of this gave her more energy. The anticipation was killing her, no one had stage fright this time, they had done this millions times before, and this would not only be another one, but this show will get them big, they all knew that. This show was their moment.
The opening performance finished, they pulled down the curtain, the equipment was set up, time to walk on stage. Each step they all took was another to their pride and joy, their instruments that they had all of their lives. Each of them had a strong feeling in their stomach, there had been so much excitement they felt all the energy the crowd had to give. The curtain unveiled, the crowd was roaring, the stage was dark, then a light fog began to cover the audience.
"WE ARE MARCELINE AND THE SCREAM QUEENS! ONE TWO THREE FOUR!"
"MARCELINE!" Bubblegum yelled at the top of her lungs. But that didn't matter, mostly because everyone else was also screaming her names.
She looked so confused that she couldn't hear them playing. All around her was screaming girls and boys, some of them looking totally obsessed with her.
"MARCELINE I LOVE YOUUU!" they were screaming at the top of their lungs, and almost like a punch in the gut with jealousy, Bubblegum felt this in the pit of her stomach.
"GO- GO- GO- GO
AWAY- AWAAAY
LIKE YOU LEFT ME THE OTHER
D-AY
LA DA DA DA DA DA!"
She couldn't help herself, she couldn't look away. There she was, the girl that broke her heart only a few feet away. She looked so beautiful, even the sweat on her brow made her skin almost glow. She felt every emotion on her words, and perhaps everyone else in the crowd felt them too, by the end of the first three songs, Bubblegum was almost mesmerized by her.
"HEY GUYS, HOW'D YOU LIKE TO HEAR OUR NEW SONG? NEVER BEFORE PREFORMED!"
The crowd thundered with excitement.
"ONE TWO THREE FOUR!"
Bonnie held her breath.
"La da da da da, I wanna bury you with my so-o-oud
La da da da da, I wanna bury you in the ground
I wanna drink the red from your pretty pink face
I wanna I wannaaaa."
The Princess felt so many mixed emotions at that moment, on one had she knew for a fact that the song was written about her, but on the other hand, she could feel the desire that Marceline had felt. She gulped in, and continued to pay attention to every beautiful word that came out of those lips that she had kissed so many times.
Then, she looked down, the vampire queen had spotted her princess, she looked like she was glowing. No, no one else around her could every compare to her beauty.
"Ooooo I loveee that pretty pretty pink faaace"
They looked at each other, each one of them entranced by those words, all their problems seemed to drift away, and with them, everyone around them, even the distance between them seemed to disappear.
She stepped closer with her bass, and kneeled down, then her hand reached down and petted her cheek, it felt just as soft as she had felt it the last time they were together.
"Well, I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I shouldn't have to justify what I do
I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I shouldn't have to prove anything to you
I'm sorry that I exist, I forgot what landed me on your blacklist
But I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I shouldn't have to be the one that makes up with you
So... why do I want to?
Why do I want to..."
She thought about how when she wrote that song, she was filled with resentment, and that she was in a very dark place. But everything inside of her, everything that she was made of, told her to fix things. Her Bonnie was here, and they looked so in love.
The Bonnie did something she knew she would never regret, she said with her lips.
"I want to fix this too."
The song was over, and for the rest of the show they would be looking at each other, each of them trapped in each other's eyes.
Then it was over.
"GOOD NIGHT FIRE KINGDOM!"
The crowd roared. They ended up playing two more encores. Bubblegum ended up getting separated from the rest of the group. Like a spy going for its target, Bonnie had to sneak pass security to find The Scream Queens. She turned right in the corridor, then they met face t face.
"He-y u-h Mar-c-cy you did um, AMAZING! Ahahaha!?"
"Y-you lo-o-ok amazing ahahaha!"
They both looked away for a moment, Marceline rubbed the back of her head.
"Do, you wanna like, go somewhere?"
"Yea Marcy. I-I would love you- to!, to…"
Marceline smiled, and looked at her lovingly.
They walked off. Marceline called Keila and said she was going back to her house to rest, since the tour was over. She also asked if they minded driving the van back to the Nightosphere without her, they didn't mind.
They didn't walk hand in hand like they used to.
"Uh, Bonnie, you okay with heading back to my place? It's not too far from here. Its night time, I could fly with you."
"I don't mind, don't worry."
The way they flew their bodies ended up pressed together. Sometimes Bonnie would look up and stare at her lover. Other times Marcy would look down to see Bonnie's smile. The cold was relaxing after the heat of the Fire Kingdom. The stars were almost touchable. The moon gave off a glow that flooded the two girls with memories of their nights together. Both of them had the same feeling inside. And yet, they were comforted with knowing that they both felt this mutually.
The flight was silent, both of them were enjoying each other's company. It didn't bother either of them. They saw a cave, and when they went through it, a pink house. When they landed, the first thing Bubblegum said was:
"Pink huh?" She nudged her teasingly.
"Uh yea, it's like, my second favorite color, first is red, of course, I mean, you already, like, knew that yea, haha."
"Stop being so nervous Marcy. I'm here, with you."
She gulped one more time and they walked in her house.
The furniture was plain, but it looked nice and simple. There were some pictures on the wall, and some facing down. When Marceline wasn't looking, Bubblegum saw under them, it was pictures of them.
"Do you want something to eat?" Marceline said from the kitchen.
"No thanks, I had some burgers in the Fire Kingdom."
"Hah, me too."
They made their way to the living room again, Marceline turned on her radio, and it was always on her favorite channel. Bubblegum sat down; now some of the nervousness hit her. They both avoided looking at each other in the eye for about a minute. Then they couldn't avoid the elephant in the room.
"So, how are we going to do this… Do we want to do this?"
Bubblegum inhaled before she replied, " I want this Marcy, I miss you, so much."
"I miss you too Bub bubs. I'm sorry about the song, I was, I was in a bad place."
"It's fine don't worry. I loved it, every word you say, it lets me know how you really felt."
Marceline looked relieved. In a way, she also felt like this was her chance, her chance to fix things.
"So it's late, um, are you going to stay here?"
"I… I'm not su- you know what, yes, yes, why not?"
Something I that eager response made Marceline blush a bright pink and look away. She looked at the clock on the wall once more; it was already past 1:30. So she got up and headed to her room. On their way through the hallway, she heard the princess yawn, even her yawn was adorable.
Stupid stupid stupid! Stop being so bashful! You can't mess this up, you CANNOT mess this up Marceline! I don't want her to leave… Not again… Not again…
The princess ended up walking ahead of Marceline and sat on her bed.
"I like this place Marcy, it looks nicer than that tree."
"Heh, yea… Um, are you going to sleep here?"
"Of course."
"Okay, stop this. What's up with you? You never act like this."
"You want to know what's up. One, I for once, has been out of the fudging castle, for the first time in months. Two, I finally am alone with you. Three, I just want to make things right. Marceline, let's just have tonight. I'm tired of all of this, of my life, of all the weight I carry every single day. Please, let's have tonight."
Marceline didn't know how to reply with her words, so she did the next best thing. She kissed her.
That kiss was the first one in months, that kiss would be a seal of consent between them, that kiss was the start of a long night. First almost like instinct, Bonnie wrapped her legs around the succulent vampire, just the taste of her lips got her going. Their breaths were long and warm; their skin was hot like fire. Marceline put her hand down Bonnie's sweet spot, her breathing got quicker, she got wet.
Then they made their way to the wall, Bonnie was almost slammed on it, each time she got close to her climax Marceline floated a bit higher. Gradually, she was reaching her climax, one hand ended up on the ceiling, the other on Marceline's breast. Her nipple was hard and her feeling that in the center of her palm gave them both a wonderful feeling.
It was Bonniebel's turn, once they got on the ground she put her tongue inside her lovers, caressed all of her.
"Oh, oh m- Marcy."
She pushed her down on the bed, it squeaked, they didn't mind. Then she kissed her way down on Marcy. Nothing would compare to the feeling that Bonnie gave her, her tongue rubbed her everywhere, and hearing the vampire's moans got her going once more. One hand was pushing in her while she was doing this, the other, climbing up to her breast.
"Don-Don't stop, oh please, Bonnie, ah ah."
She looked up and saw Marceline's head cocked back, her hand clutching the pillow where her head lay, maybe she got too caught up in the moment, but she noticed how amazing her hair looked when it was covering the sheets.
Her fingers moved in a faster place, Marceline's hips had bent. She slowed down her pace, and Marceline moaned once more. Bonnie pushed deeper she was coming. Marceline's hips clenched, her feet stretched outwards, her head, cocked back.
Bonnie had felt satisfaction in this; it was her way of apologizing for everything. Marceline was breathing heavily now. Bonnie decided to lay herself next to her queen. She looked at her and gave a genuine smile. Marceline turned away because she was blushing once more. She didn't have anything to say, but there was nothing to say. They both took this as another step in the right direction.
"Marcy, I love you."
"I love you too."
Then Bonniebel had given her lover a desirous look. She reached for her pale gray breast.
There we go again, well, I can't really complain. Gosh, she so beautiful.
"You're beautiful, my princess."
"You're gorgeous my queen."
They went at it one more time, they felt the inside of each other, it was warm, just like the rest of their bodies. Marceline propped her on one of her legs. They began thrusting. This time was different from the other, and somehow they knew, each time would be unique. Their pace gradually increased, with that, their breathing. A few times they had to brush their hair out of their faces. Neither of them minded, they were too preoccupied with the lust that ate them up. This time their smooth legs rubbed against each other, their bodies were practically bouncing. Marceline felt the immense need to grab on her.
Their breathing became synchronized, and so did their thrusts. The both climaxed together. When they both had laid back down, Marceline looked at the digital clock on her nightstand. It was already three AM.
"Bonnie, let's go to bed."
"Whoo" she said with an exhale, "Yea I'm tired."
"Be my little spoon?"
"Gladly."
They spent that night in each other's arms like they did before, except, with much less clothing.
Pretty pretty pink.
Sorry about the delay! I'd like to blame final exams and AP testing. Luckily this is perhaps the longest chapter I've written. Thanks for the support, and I'll continue writing as long as you guys continue reading. (:
