Chapter 25: Good Terms

Sasuke and Sakura stood there frozen in place. They didn't know what they were looking at in front of them. The scene before them was there was Naruto on the bed but who was in the bed with him. Both of their eyes taking in the scene. There was Yuffie tangled into Naruto's arm wearing only her light blue booty short underwear and a white tank top. Then there was Naruto wearing only his black boxer briefs. Yuffie's head was tucked nicely under Naruto's chin with her face buried into his chest. They laid there deep in sleep content with each other.

Sasuke on the other hand was livid he couldn't believe the scene portrayed in front of him. He wished he could have Naruto in his arms like how he has Yuffie in his. Sakura felt barely just barely Sasuke's chakra flare a bit. She knew he was getting mad or maybe jealous or a mixture of both.

She turned to him and whispered to him, " Sasuke, you need to calm down. We will noticed. So please stop now." She tried to sound stern and glared at him for good measure to let him know she wasn't playing.

Sasuke turned around to look her when he heard his name and listened to her petty words all the to the end. "You don't understand. You will never understand. You don't know how I feel." He hissed out.

"I don't know. Do enlighten us on that subject, Uchiha." Sasuke and Sakura's eyes widen and their jaw dropped. They went from looking at each other towards the owner's voice. There in view was Naruto wide awake sitting up glaring at them. Yuffie jumped at the sudden stern loud voice she heard coming from Naruto. She suddenly felt the presence of two intruders and felt annoyed knowing who they were. She didn't bother wasting her energy to look at them or bother to let them know they were acknowledge by her. She just turned around to her left side and grabbed the blanket that they took off and snuggled right back in.

Naruto was still waiting for an answer not letting his glare waver the whole time. Sakura didn't like being at the end of his gaze. It felt like he would kill her in any moment and she knew for a fact he could. Sasuke was glaring back but not at Naruto but at Yuffie. He hated the fact that this girl was sharing a bed with him. He kept looking at the girl that remained indifferent to their presence. Sasuke hated being ignored. He was an Uchiha, they don't get ignored, they get praised and worshiped. Sasuke finally felt a pair of eyes looking at him and he slowly turned to that direction. His glare intensified when he looked right into Naruto's eyes. Sasuke's eyes started to flicker red from the anger he had of how Naruto was unfazed by that woman in his bed.

Naruto on the other hand was starting to get bored. He knew this was pointless and wasn't worth the waste of energy.

Naruto cleared his throat, " Go back. We'll be there." He said short and in an annoyed voice. That snapped Sakura from being a deer caught in the headlights and turned to Sasuke to usher him away from the scene. He was pushed walking backwards and never breaking his eye contact with Naruto. Once Sakura had him pushed the the doorway and to the side out of Naruto's vision she turned to him and bow her head as an apology for intruding. When she did turn she saw Naruto's left arm bandaged from shoulder to wrist. She wondered if he hurt himself in any way and wanted to ask but thought against seeing how things were. With that Sakura pushed Sasuke all the way back to where their sensei.

"He said he will be here shortly " Sakura said with her gaze staring down on the floor. Sasuke was leaning back against the wall with his arms crossed. He was in no mood to be talked to or deal with anything. Kakashi wondered what happened but didn't want to poke around seeing how Sasuke was acting. He just gave a nod to Sakura that he understood. They waited for a short while and then here came Naruto along with Yuffie?

Naruto stopped in front of them with a blank face. Yuffie's face was beaming with delight.

"What is she doing her?" Kakashi asked.

"Is there a problem?" Naruto replied right back.

"This is a mission. It could be dangerous for her and she isn't even a ninja from the leaf! How can we even trust her." Kakashi asked.

"I trust her and that's all that matters. And on that note I'm not a ninja of the leaf also. I was just hired as Yoru." Naruto stated.

Hearing that name everyone's eyes widen from the news except for Yuffie.

"Your not a ninja of the leaf?" Sakura asked.

"Are you deaf from old age or what? He just said he isn't one! Gosh stupid leaf ninjas." Yuffie said with a grunt.

A little vein started to show on Sakura'a forehead. She made her hands into fists and gritted her teeth. She thought in saying something bit thought against it. They are trying to get Naruto back to them and if she were to say something to hurt that little brat's feelings it will all go down hill. She thought it was already bad with Kakashi asking and saying it how he did about the little brat. So she slowly took breaths in and tried to calm herself down before she spoke.

With a fake smile on her face, " No, I'm not deaf we just didn't know that the Hokage contracted him as Yoru and not as Naruto of the leaf." She finished saying with her left eyebrow twitching a little from annoyance.

"Why would he be a leaf ninja? How could he even be a leaf ninja? He was taken off that list and also he never went on to be an anbu. Plus he surpass that ranking. He is in his own league of his own." Yuffie said with such pride for her big brother.

"That may be but what about you? What are you doing here? Are you any good?" Kakashi asked. Yuffie made Naruto sound he was top notch but what about her?

Yuffie was about to speak till Naruto stepped in front of her shielding her from Kakashi's stare. Yuffie peek through Naruto's side to see the ugly man blowing a raspberry at him for good measure.

"She is my pupil." Naruto stared down at Kakashi. Daring him to say anything else. He didn't so Naruto continued.

"I was contracted as Yoru not a ninja from the leaf. I can go back to the Hokage and request just I to go on this pathetic mission as a two member team. I'm pretty sure what you all lack she makes up for it. Better back up than you ever will be." Naruto was getting tired of all this. He knew Yuffie was better than all three put together. Heck she was like three members into one. That girl was crazy when she is out on the battlefield.

Feeling defeated, "No, it's okay. We're already behind we have to get moving." Kakashi sighed. Naruto not wasting time passed by all three of them without a glance and went through the gates. Yuffie followed as well but when she was passing by Kakashi she couldn't help herself.

"Nii-san is a way better teacher than you will ever be. He doesn't do favoritism on just one student. Unlike you did. Ha! Pathetic. No wonder he left this shit hole." Yuffie said with a side glance to see Kakashi's reaction. She was satisfied with what she saw she sprinted to Naruto's side and started to talk and laugh.

Kakashi couldn't move from what Yuffie had said. It was true and he had regretted it ever since they thought Naruto had passed away. He had that burden for years and each day of those passing years how he wished he could apologize to him and have taught him all the things he knew not just to the last surviving Uchiha. Yuffie really hit a soft spot he couldn't believe that Naruto would have told her about how bad he had treated him. Sasuke and Sakura had heard what Yuffie had said to Kakashi and they both were ashamed to how they had treated Naruto in the passes but that's why they are doing what they are doing. Trying their hardest to apologize to Naruto and be friends again. They want to show him they have changed and they won't be how it was back then. Still it hurt to know that Naruto has only talk bad about them which it is their fault they did treat him poorly but to just hear it from another.

Sasuke was the first to push himself off the wall and started to walk in the direction where Naruto and Yuffie went. Sakura and Kakashi followed right after. It's didn't take them long to catch up to the other two. Naruto and Yuffie were strolling not caring that they had to report for a mission and be there at a certain time. Sasuke picked up his pace a little to be at Naruto's left side.

Naruto feeling his presence come closer to his left already started to look to Yuffie's direction giving her all his attention. Yuffie saw Sasuke go to her big brother's left and just glared at him. Sasuke knowing this would happen ignored it all and reached to his pocket and took out a scroll. He handed it to Naruto to take but Naruto ignoring his very being didn't see the scroll. Yuffie took the scroll from him since she couldn't take her eyes off of him. She didn't trust Sasuke at all.

"You can go now." Yuffie said after she snatched the scroll from Sasuke. Sasuke just slowed his pace to fall back with Kakashi and Sakura. Yuffie was trying to open the scroll to see what was in it but she just couldn't get it to pry open. Naruto finally took the poor scroll from her after five minutes and just did a couple hand signals and it was opened. Yuffie just look at Naruto open the scroll with ease and just grunt and crossed her arms and said something about showing off which caused Naruto to chuckle.

Naruto read through the scroll taking in every detail about it and when he got towards the end he was furious. He abruptly stopped and read the scroll over again and again. Now everyone was standing around him looking at him wondering what was wrong. Then all of a sudden the scroll in Naruto's hands caught on fire. Yuffie and Sakura gasped in surprised while Kakashi and Sasuke eyes widen.

Naruto eyes were red from anger and he somehow caught the scroll on fire from his gaze. He didn't mean to catch it on fire he usually could control catching things on fire with his eyes but this was too much for him. These people were just pushing him to his limits. He dusted his hands off and continued walking as if nothing was wrong. Yuffie went to his side asking him what was wrong. When he didn't answer she knew something was wrong. So she kept walking in silence.

The remaining three that stood behind for awhile looked at each other and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then they also thought that was the old Naruto maybe this Naruto wasn't thrilled where they were going.

After walking for about twenty minutes in silence Naruto finally broke the silence.

"We're going to the village of Sunagakure." Naruto said short. Yuffie bit her lower lip for a second. She knew what that meant.

"Gaara asked for me personally." Naruto added.

Yuffie remembers that the last time Naruto and Gaara saw each other it wasn't on good terms.

Short chappy but I plan to make the next one a bit longer. Let me kno how it was. Review to let me kno how much u guys missed me! :D
