Outside the cave!
Jenny let out a sigh as she walked out of trap door entrance with Joey and Yoru right behind her.
"We're out!" Joey cheered, "fresh air at last!"
"Alright!"
The two friends giggled as they looked at them.
'It's a good thing we don't have to deal with the Paradox Brothers anymore,' Jenny thought as she looked up at the sky with a smile, 'or I just might have gone crazy."
"Huh?" Bakura mumbled making Jenny to look over at him, "what's this?" They both watched as a part of the Millennium Ring pointed upwards. "My Millennium Ring is pointing."
"There!" Téa said as she pointed towards a castle, "to Pegasus' Castle!"
'No duh,' both Jenny and Yoru thought while rolling their eyes.
"Right, where we're heading cause Yugi, Jenny, and I have enough Star Chips to get into the Castle," Joey stated making Jenny to giggle again, "isn't that right Yug, Jenny?"
"Yeah," both teens agreed.
"Finally," Téa stated with a smile, 'it all paid off for Yugi. Sometimes he seems so gentle you wouldn't think he would be able to challenge another Duelist. But, when he duels it seems like he's someone else. Some one more confident and determined then the Yugi, I know. It's almost like there are two Yugis. Our friend who we've known for years and a more mysterious guy who only shows up when Yugi's in over his head. Wait?! Maybe there are two Yugis. I remember now.' Téa thought back to when they where dressed up like Duel Monsters while Yami Bakura and Bigger Yugi were playing the game. 'There was a game in the Shadow Realm. And there was a bigger Yugi playing, but little Yugi was in the game with the rest of us. It was like the more experience Yugi was coaching our Yugi.'
"Something wrong?" Yugi asked her when he noticed that she was spacing out.
"Mmm," Téa shock her head no with a smile, "I wonder if you feel like..."
"Hey Yug!" Joey called from the top of the first sat of stairs with Tristan and Bakura while Jenny and Yoru stood at the bottom, "What's the hold up?"
"Hurry up!" Tristan called out to them as well, "or we'll go inside without cha!"
Bakura looked over at Tristan with a smile.
"You know since none of us are suppose to be here maybe we should wait for him," Bakura suggested to Tristan.
"Yeah," Tristan agreed, "good point."
Jenny and Yoru giggled before they started up the stairs to catch up to the boys.
"Grandpa here I come," they heard Yugi say before what sounded like falling made them turn around.
Yoru slapped a hand over her mouth to keep her laughter quiet while Jenny smirked at the scene.
"Ouch," Téa said, "uh, this is how your going to rescue your Grandpa?"
"I rescued you," Yugi stated as he looked at her, "remember?"
'That's right, he did,' she thought as a memory went through her head, 'and back then I'd barely even knew him. What you said that day made really appreciate you guys. That and what you did next.' A second memory went through her mind. 'I couldn't wait to check it out.'
"Téa!" Yugi called out to her, "Téa, I asked you if you remembered?"
"Yugi, I remember," Téa answered as she kneeled down in front of him, "but, what was it that you did to that guy that day?"
"I don't know," Yugi answered her as he looked just as confused as her, "when I came to that mugger was already on the ground. I don't remember anything about it."
"Your a mysterious guy, Yugi," Téa stated, "don't you ever feel like something weird is going on? Some times you seem like a completely different person. Is what I'm saying making any sense to you?"
"I know what you mean," Yugi answered, "some times I feel like there's some one else inside of me. I hope I'm not losing it."
"Well, what ever is going on with you, both of you are really good guys," Téa told him with a smile as she stood up, "trust me."
"Thanks, Téa," Yugi thanked her with a smile.
Jenny and Yoru stopped to look back at Yugi and Téa half up the stairs while the three boys where waiting at the top of the first flight.
"Hey, do we need to carry you guys up?" Joey yelled/asked.
"Yeah!" Tristan agreed, "what's the problem? Come on!"
The two girls looked at each other before they continued up the stairs and stood next to the three boys waiting for the other two.
"Come on," Téa said as she held out a hand to Yugi, "let's go."
"Yeah."
It wasn't long till both Yugi and Téa caught up to the other 5 who waited for them before they continued up the stairs.
"You would think someone as rich as Pegasus would put in an elevator," Joey complained.
The long brown haired girl giggle quietly though she didn't say anything already use to Joey complaining about something, however, she stopped giggling when she noticed some at the top of the stairs looking at them.
"Hey guys, look," Tristan told them having noticed as will, "your not going to believe whose blocking our way into the Castle."
"It's Kaiba!" Yugi yelled in surprised as he looked at the CEO.
"Seto?" Jenny asked confused.
Both Jenny and Yoru shared a looked with each other before they looked back at Kaiba who looked at them for a bit before looking away.
"What the heck is going here?"
"I can't let you pass Yugi," Kaiba told him which confused them even more.
"I won 10 Stars Chips so stand aside," Yugi told him.
"You may have won enough Star Chips to qualify for the Duelist Kingdom Tournament play offs Yugi, but I can't allow you to face Pegasus," Kaiba stated making Jenny and Yoru to looking even more confused, "he's mine. You and I will have one final duel. You will lose and I will win. The winds of change are blowing Yugi Mutou."
"Ugh, he's so smug up there."
'Pegasus might be forcing me to fight Yugi, but it's a rematch I've wanted all long,' thought Kaiba.
"Step aside Kaiba," Yugi demanded as they walked a bit more closer.
"Not until you agree to duel me," Kaiba told him.
"I'm not dueling you. I don't have to."
"So your no longer confident that your so called Heart of the Cards can help you win?" Kaiba asked with a smirk, "or you can't beat me without Exodia? That's it isn't Yugi? Your just afraid that you can't beat me a second time, you coward."
"Back off!" Téa told Kaiba, "he doesn't have to prove anything."
"You want to duel smart mouth?" Joey asked, "I'll take you. Come on! Let's duel!" Jenny and Yoru let out a sigh as Kaiba laughed a bit. "Don't laugh!"
"Whoa Joey!" Tristan ordered as he and Bakura grabbed Joey to keep him from attacking the CEO, "down boy."
"Don't forget that when you battle him before he smothered you!" Bakura reminded him.
"Like you can do any better," Téa told them making both Tristan and Bakura look down.
"Ha," Kaiba laughed when he noticed Joey's glove, "I can't believe that the little barking Chihuahua already has 10 Star Chips." The two girls rolled eyes. "Did you earn them yourself or did Yugi throw you a few bones."
"Don't. Call. Me. A. Chihuahua!" Joey growled.
"Don't let him snap his chain," Kaiba told the two boys that where holding Joey, "there's no challenge in humiliating you again Joey." This just made Joey growl even more while Kaiba looked at Yugi. "There's only one player whose ever beaten me at Duel Monsters and that's Yugi. But, how he did it is still a mystery that eats away at me. I was winning our battles. My Blue Eyes White Dragon was devastating his forces. His monsters couldn't stand up to it's withering attacks and then I drew my second Blue Eyes. I was invisible. Yugi thought that the attack strength of his Dark Magician could stop me. But, he never dreamed I'd draw my third Blue Eyes which blew his magician away. Obliterating his life points. But, then...just as he was on the verge of defeat Yugi some how achieved the unachievable. He assembled all five pieces of Exodia. But, some how he had. Yugi, you said you won by tapping into the Heart of the Cards. And for the longest time I didn't know what that meant, but now, I think I do. And it took Pegasus to show me. He gave me a reason to put my heart in the cards."
"Help me Big Brother," Mokuba's voice sounded in Kaiba's head.
'I will help you, Mokuba,' thought Kaiba, 'there's not a power on Earth that can stop me. Not Pegasus, not Yugi.' Jenny looked at Yugi wondering if he was going to go through the duel. "For the first time Yugi, I can duel with fire and passion in my heart."
"I can feel it," Yugi said in surprise, 'Kaiba has changed. He's fighting for more then just himself this time. There's a new belief in the Heard of the Cards.'
"Yugi, you can' accept this duel." Jenny looked back at Kaiba with a worried look.
"You already earn enough Star Chips to get into the Castle."
"I've change," Kaiba went on to tell Yugi, "I deserve a rematch. Give me a chance to play you now Yugi. Let me play you for the right reason."
'After all Grandpa's taught me, how can I deny the Heart of the Cards,' thought Yugi before the Millennium Puzzle glowed and Yami Yugi stood in Yugi's place with a smirk.
'It's happened again,' Téa thought in surprised, 'Yugi suddenly seems different.'
"Kaiba, I accept your duel," Yami told him as he pointed at him, "we'll see what you've really learned. You just name the place."
"Our dueling field has already been prepared," Kaiba informed him with a smirk as he picked up his brief case, "fellow me."
Annex Top!
"Alright Kaiba," Yami spoke up once they where in place, "It's Time to Duel!"
"Yugi, here's the deal," Kaiba stated, "we'll each wager 5 star chips on this duel and the winner will be the only one who earns the right to enter the main castle."
"Deal," Yami agreed as he took out the five star chips, "5 star chips."
"We'll use my Duel Disk system," Kaiba explained as he held up the disk, "insert your shuffled duel into the card recognition." Both Yami and Kaiba slid their decks in into the holder. "Life Points automatically set to 2000"
Yami Yugi: 2000
Seto Kaiba: 2000
"Take him!" Joey yelled, "you did it one Yugi! So we know you can do it again!"
"Yeah!"
"That's right!"
'I have a bad feeling about this,' thought Jenny as she looked over at Kaiba before she looked over at Yoru who was more focus on the duel.
"Alright, are you ready to duel?" Yami asked.
"This is it Yugi, whoever wins faces Pegasus and whoever loses...well...you'll be a broken man."
"We'll see who get's broken Kaiba!" Yami told him, "I will defeat you once and for all."
"Let Duel!"
"Stand back and prepare for battle," Kaiba told Yami as he drew his first card, "I play Ryu-Kishin in attack mode!"
Jenny by that time had turned back to the duel just in time to see Kaiba throw the disk allowing it to spin while his monster along with his hand appeared in front of him.
"Look!" Téa yelled, "the cards!"
"They're holograms," Joey exclaimed in surprise, "just like the monsters!"
"On your guard." Yami drew his own first card, "I play Curse of Dragon!"
"Well done," Kaiba praised, "a formidable card, Yugi, and a play I would expect from a Duelist of your caliber."
"Don't patronize me," Yami growled.
"Yugi, I know from playing you that you're a talented duelist, but you're just not as good as I am," Kaiba informed him, "listen up, only one duelist is going to challenge Pegasus and that's me."
"Wrong!"
"Then attack and find out," Kaiba told him, "what's the matter, Yugi, no faith in your monster?"
"You're on," Yami growled out making Yoru and Jenny raised eyebrow in surprise, "he's mightier then yours. Go Curse of Dragon! Attack Ryu-Kishin! Dragon Flame!" They all watched Yami's monster destroyed Kaiba's own monster. "There Ryu-Kishin is no more."
Seto Kaiba: 1600
"You're good, but you're also predictable," Kaiba told him with a smirk, "don't you think I expected that attack? And one again you've played right into my hands, Yugi."
"He's bluffing!" Joey yelled, "you're already Kaiba on the ropes! Alright, go Yugi!"
"It's a little bit early to be celebrating," Yoru spoke up.
"I agree with Yoru," Jenny second, "plus Seto looks like he has something planned."
"It's not a bluff as you will all soon see," Kaiba informed them as pulled back the disk and drew a new card from his deck, "I play Sword Stalker!" The Cards once again appeared in front of Kaiba after the disk was spinning again. "The Sword Stalker gathers the life force of a fallen ally raising his own attack power by 20%. Watch."
They all watched as Kaiba's monster's attack points went up to 2400
'So that's why Kaiba allowed his Ryu-Kishin to be defeated so easily,' thought Yami, 'so he could use it's energy to create an even stronger monster. And now that's he's done that, his Sword Stalker attack strength is even greater then that of my Curse of Dragon!'
"Attack now Sword Stalker!" Kaiba ordered, "Vengeance Strike!" Just as the Sword Stalker rushed to attack the Curse of Dragon vanished. "What!? The Curse of Dragon disappeared!"
"That's because I had a Monster Replace magic card on the field," Yami answered, "this card switches the monster one the field with monster in my hand with the highest attack power." Yami showed Kaiba the card. "And you know what that means." Jenny felt a smile tug at her lips as the Dark Magician appeared on the field. "The creature with the highest attack power in my hand is the Dark Magician! Dark Magic Attack!" The Dark Magician held up it's wand and let lose an energy blast of some kind that destroyed Sword Stalker. "The Dark Magician vanquishes your Sword Stalker."
Kaiba: 1500
"Alright!" Joey cheered, "hey, Kaiba, Yugi put the moves on you again!"
"Clueless," Kaiba stated quietly, "if those fools only knew...what I have in story."
Jenny looked over at Kaiba looking worried for what she heard him say from where she was standing.
"Now I replay Curse of Dragon in attack mode!" Yami continued as his dragon returned to the field, "you're move Kaiba."
"I'll take on you magic...with a magician of my own!" Seto yelled at him as he called back the disk and drew a new card before placing a monster on the disk and sending spinning again. "I summon, La Jinn the Magical Genie!" A green looking genie appeared on the field in front of Kaiba with his arms crossed. "My wish is his command."
"Dark Magician attack La Jinn!" Yami ordered making Jenny gasped in surprise, "Dark Magic Attack!"
"You're attack activates my trap," Kaiba informed him, "the Ancient Lamp!" The trap card turned around. "First it protects my Genie by drawing him into the lamp."
"What?" Yami asked surprised as Kaiba's Genie vanished into the lamp.
"Then the lamp deflects you're attack turning it back on your monster," Kaiba went on explaining as the Curse of Dragon was destroyed, "which lowers your score to equal min." Everyone watched as Yami's life points went down to 1500. "Reflect upon the incredible defensive power of my Ancient Lamp."
"My deflective attack may have destroyed my Curse of Dragon, but I still have the Dark Magician," Yami informed Kaiba as he threw out the disk allowing it spin as the Dark Magician appeared again, "Kaiba, for all of you're bragging the score is tied. We're evenly matched."
'Yugi doesn't expect that so far that all of my moves-as well thought out as they are-are just ploys to distract him from my real plan,' thought Kaiba, 'to assemble all three Blue-Eyes in my deck to create a monster more powerful then any he has ever seen. For combined they create the ultimate creature of destruction. The Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!'
