To those of you who read this I now have the prelude of my first ACTUAL ROTG story up.
Its called. "Manny's Secret Fearling".
So here it is the next chapter with Jamie and the gang. All because I have decided they were not given enough credit.
On with the rhyming story...
Rhyme: Rain
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day;
Little Johnny wants to play.
13 year old Jamie, and 9 year old Sophie were lying in their bunk beds, staring at the pouring rain, looking longingly outside. Wishing there were something else to do than play battleship on the top bunk.
Despite having their moments in general they got along very well, close enough that they could be confused as twins if it were not for their age difference.
When Sophie was old enough she asked to move bedrooms, and stay with Jamie. While her bedroom became a guest room. And doubled as the room they would go in when they got in an argument, or were stressed. Its a place to relax and get away from the troubles in their life for a little while. Of course their mother did not want to argue, and thought it was cute that they got along so well.
Pippa sat eating her Lunch at the circle Island snack bar in the middle of her kitchen. Her house looked expensive and big. But it was just a front their parents put on, they were currently struggling to keep the house. Her parents fought about money quite often and even thought about moving at one point. But thanks to pippa bagging and pleading them to stay in Burgess. They decided they would stay. Pippa even decided to get a Job and pay for herself in order to help out, even though she was only 14.
Cupcake however, was not having a good day. Her mother passed away about a month ago. No one saw it coming. A blood clot got stuck in her heart blocking the bloodflow. She was found on the kitchen floor when Cupcake came home from stove was still on, and chicken turned to charcoal. Just at the time of her life when things were looking up for her. She got wonderful grades, Puberty hit and did wonders for her. No longer having a chubby boy figure. She was very Curvaceous, and short, yes short. She had a major growth spurt before most kids her age and also stopped growing earlier than most as well. Her confidence went through the roof, no longer getting picked on due to her looks felt wonderful. Then her mother dies. So this was a very rough time for her.
Claude and Caleb changed a lot since they were kids. Now in foster care. tuns out their father was secretly a crimelord, and mother turned alcoholic due to the stress. Claude got into some big trouble and went to a rehabilitation center for young drugadicts, and Caleb tried everything he could to help his brother out. Today was 6 months drug free for Claude and were hosting a welcome home party. Sadly that got canceled due to the rain.
Monty, had a fairly decent home life. Wonderful cherishing mother, and a semi-strict yet understanding father. However school was not so great. He was always picked on, glasses or no glasses. So much so he attempted suicide at one point. He lived to tell the tale, and no one even knew he tried to off himself. The worst part about it was all the teasing, bruises, cuts that happened during school was all because he decided he was ready to come out at tell people he was gay. Monty did think himself to be lucky that his group of friends never thought any different of him, he remembers something Jamie said once. "You know Monty I kind of look up to you. It has to be tough coming out and trying to be yourself when all people do is ridicule you. But you stand strong, and optimistic. I don't know how you do it. Hey, we should all meet up tomorrow its been a while since the whole gang got together."
Bored out of his mind Jack sat in a tree for protection. Now jack was not afraid of the rain, or thunder. What did concern him was that rain froze before it hit him. One of the many downsides to being a winter sprite. Rain turns to hail.
So the morel of this story is that, The burgess kids would love to play in the rain with Jack, but sadly this was not possible, as you can see jack has to hide under a stupid tree with hopes he wont be impaled by rain turned to hail.
