Sorry everyone I was having a hard time with writers block, but my muse seems to be back (for the moment).

I do hope you are not angry and that you do enjoy what I have written thus far. You can expect updates late as it is the holiday season and testing is constant at my school.

As usual if you wish to comment then please do so as I am much happier when you do, even if it is to critique my work, but be forewarned that problems will persist in my writing and I will work on them.

I own nothing, except every other non SNK thing in this sort-of.

"Ouch Butterball!" cough gasp, "W-why did you bite m-me?" I continued to cough and sputter as the water forced its out through my mouth and nose. The large canine in question just walked away. My lungs were on fire as I continued to lay there on the warm rock gasping for breath until the darkness from around the edges of my vision fully faded. Only after my gasping quieted to quickened breaths did I start to feel that my laying on the sun heated rock was a bad idea. My skin was alight with pain from my prolonged exposure to the sun's rays and my body was in no condition to move at the moment either as it was sore and exhausted from the over excursion of saving itself. I was nearly spent and I knew it, but like all creatures in the world I did what I had to so that I could survive and staying down there was not an option. So with great difficulty and even greater pain I shifted my body into a sitting position. My tense body strained at the movement as my burn backside stung. The rock was uneven and there was a gap between it and the rock that jutted out over the water so I knew that trying to stand and take that slippery step was a no go. Instead I crawled over to the more leveled rock and used the tree beside it to help me stand. Looking at the up-mountain climb I had before me I cursed and began to stagger my way up the rocky path. Tripping over the English Ivy that cascaded down the mountain, I decided that instead of wasting my energy trying to stand again I would crawl.

By the time I made it to the top of the path I was panting and my body, covered in bruises and blood, yet still I knew I had more to go. I used the wooden gate as a momentary stop as I caught my breath and tried fruitlessly to rub some of the pain from my body. This was to no avail as after a while I began my trek up the rocky mountain. I walked past the large house, having left the keys at my own, but now I was regretting that misguided decision. Though the way to my makeshift cabin was far less steep than the way up from the creek, it was treacherous as the gravel nipped and cut through the tender flesh of my feet.

By the time I had made it to the small break in the trees, in which my humble cabin lay, my other animals had begun their excited jumping and pawing. Boaz, my large English mastiff, decided it was high time that I pet him so he leaned against my bleeding legs and nearly knocked me over. Hikari, my American Eskimo dog, also decided that jumping onto my abused legs and hips was an amazing idea. I was lucky that my other dog, a mix of an unknown shorter canine with a coon hound, Lousi enjoyed playing hard to get and so did not decide to love on me. I fell to the ground where my poorly named cat, Mr. Kittens, decided it would be funny to sit right in my face and stare deeply into my soul while I struggled to get back up. Boaz began to wheeze loudly while Hikari licked excitedly at my scraped face.

Cursing loudly and with more color and complexity than what was really needed I pushed my animals off of me and stood up. Yelling heatedly at them for a few minutes they caught onto my frustration and walked back down to the other house with hanging heads. I sighed and knew that I'd feel bad later, but at the moment I needed to get home. So I shuffled my way to my home where my last animal, an English mastiff pup, was sitting in front of my door licking at something he had in between his paws. Any other time I would've checked to make sure he wasn't eating something he shouldn't, but instead I stumbled into my home. Seizing his chance the pup ran into my home and up my far stair case. I could hear him jump onto my bed, but I couldn't even make it that far as that as the relief of being home took away any will my body had left. Stumbling to my small couch I fell onto it and immediately blacked out.
