Rivaille's Much Needed Break

"Life isn't just about sacrifice," I whispered as I took his face into my hands, "it's also about beauty and love and happiness." The man pulled away and looked down, "Whoever taught you that is full of..." I cut him off as I recaptured his face in my hands, hurt gleaming in my eyes, "You taught me that and I'll teach it back."

5. Chapter 5: Curiosity and Meetings

Levi was about to make his move against the beast when suddenly it lifted up his cover and exposed him. Moving quickly he slashed at the beast, but instead of a hit on here Levi found himself cutting off long, wet hair. The titan pulled back with a cry and proceeded to curse loudly and clutch its hair. Levi stopped mid-swing as the realization of the titan cursing hit him. Levi looked up and instead of seeing the hungry eyes with no intelligence that he was used to, he found he was staring into bright blue eyes that regarded him with surprise and curiosity.

Blue eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as they took in the small male before them. In other circumstances she would've been fine and would've talked to the man with only mild surprise, but no, here she was no shirt and only her hair that hadn't been cut to hide her left breast and her hands to cover her right. Rational thinking went out the door when he had sliced at her the first time, but now with the sudden threat identified there was added adrenaline. Before truly understanding the words or thinking before hand the young girl threw her bed sheets down and pulled on a shirt as fast as she could. This ended in severe pain and the reopening of wounds. Now she was bleeding and crying from the amount of pain something that may have just been her imagination. As tears distorted her sight Levi moved from his hiding to better examine the creature.

"Blood?" whispered Levi as he watched the female's pale yellow shirt slowly become soaked in her blood. Seeing his chance, Levi used his 3D maneuvering gear to hook onto the night stand and get behind the creature. Her neck was exposed as her hair had split to fall past her shoulders and her hunched over body only exposed it further. If he was going to act now would have been the perfect time, but something stopped him. It was as if the force that drove him here was now staying his blade.

She moved to check again, but found that the little man was gone. Dejected and bleeding the young girl slowly stood and walked back down stairs unaware of the little man following.
