~~Kindness~~
Skulker's POV words: 379
Wretched little halfbreed! Stupid freakish bastard! Damn, damn…
I growled as I heaved the last of what used to be some of the more sophisticated tech from my used to be new suit. It had taken ages to float what little I could back from the ghost portal where Phantom had unceremoniously dumped me again. To entertain myself on the arduous journey home, I tried to string together as many different insults for the ghost child as I could. Good thing I made it home, I was running out of adjectives. The steaming mass of wreckage feel out of my hands as the gravity of my island took hold, smashing the only circuit board that had survived.
Damn brat.
I wasn't even hunting him! Where did he get off letting my prey get away? It had been a huge beast, with fangs twice my height. It took me ages to track even with a new ectoplasmic radar. My ray gun had been perfectly lined up when it made a dash to the portal. It must have been more sentient then I thought, not only did it make a beeline for the halfa, it blatantly hid behind him.
So of course the little bleeding heart had to fight me because of it. To top it all off he was in one of his moods again, the ones where he doesn't care if he hits a little too hard or draws out the fight a little longer than normal. They've been decreasing over time, the child wasn't much of a child anymore and hormones weren't tampering with his fighting instincts, but when they did appear they were far more calculated and strategic than ever.
But even after all that, when he had my ectoplasimic form gripped in his hands, where the slightest squeeze could have sent me to oblivion, he pops me back into the infernal thermos. Every time he has true victory in his grasp he casually throws it away, any bid for power or even for respect from the ghosts and ghost hunters was piously ignored. It would be the end of him one day. What was the point of having power if you weren't going to use it?
He was too damn kind to be anything truly great.
Author's Note:
In my mind Skulker equates power to respect, hence why he follows Plasmius' commands so readily. Since Danny has power but doesn't use it to its full extent, Skulker still believes himself to be better than Danny.
