A/N

Okay I just want to say before you start reading that you should keep in mind that it's my first time writing Yukio, Shiemi and the gang so I'm sorry if they are a little off character, hopefully as the story goes on I'll get better at writing them.

Okay with that please enjoy.

Rin marched down the streets of True Cross town with a large grin stretched across his face and a grumpy demon king in tow, Amaimon may not have been happy at that moment but Rin was ecstatic!

Finally after a long week of bruises and whining he was able to go and see his friends, that was if he wasn't caught that is.

Okay so maybe coming to True Cross town with one of the princes of hell, who also was meant to be under house arrest wasn't one of Rin's best ideas.

But he just couldn't help himself, being stuck with Amaimon had made him desperate, not to mention Rin wasn't the smartest kid when it came to things like common sense. So stealthily he made his way around corners, trying his best to avoid any contact with any exorcists.

If he was caught, that was game over. Unable to see his friends and sent home with a complaining hungry demon; isolated from sanity, If he was lucky.

He was full aware how suspicious satan's son sneaking around with the earth king would look to other exorcist, and he didn't need to cause any more suspicion for himself then there already was.

But he deserved this, he told himself as he ducked out of sight of another exorcist walking by; grabbing and pulling Amaimon down with him who was too busy sulking about food. And if he did end up being found out, he would tell this to them too, they had no idea what it was like living with that annoying pointy head demon, he deserved a little break. Though he guessed complaining wouldn't do him any good, they didn't care if he was being tortured.

He just hoped he wouldn't run into Shura though, if she caught him she wouldn't have any of his shit and have him on the next train back home. Rin gulped, praying she was out on a mission.

The train ride there had been worse enough, it was only about a twenty minute travel but that was plenty of time for Amaimon to have driven Rin into insanity. No surprise he complained about his hunger and boredom but being able to sit still was not one of Amaimon's "many" talents.

After all his bouncing though he had finally decided on hanging upside down from the railing was the best way to go, which had only drawn attention from other passengers; embarrassing Rin which thankfully had caused slight amusement for the other.

"I don't like this game." Amaimon spoke in that monotone voice of his, and though Rin couldn't hear any irritation in his voice he could have sworn he saw an eye twitch.

Still holding Amaimon down by his arm, Rin peaked behind the mail box to see if the coast was clear, before he could give the word however, Amaimon had already pulled free; walking away from the other and into the busy streets.

"Oi! You idiot." Rin growled, thankfully the exorcist had left so he was able chase after the demon. Catching up he grabbed onto his arm again, pulling him back from the crowd so he was able to glare at him. "Be careful, I don't want to be caught!"

Amaimon only glared back, yanking his arm once again from the other's tight grip. "I don't care." he said before he continued walking.

"You will care when they send us back home with no food!" Rin yelled making the other stop in his tracks, which unfortunately Rin wasn't prepared for as he slammed right into him, almost sending him to the pavement. What the hell? he's like solid rock. "Don't just stop idiot."Rin groaned.

Amaimon rolled his eyes before grabbing onto Rin's jean coat and pushing him forward before him. "Whatever, just lead the way then so I can eat."

Regaining his balance as he almost fell to the ground again as Amaimon harshly thrusted him forward, Rin grumpily obliged; taking Amaimon's hand to lead the way. "bastard." He grumbled, marching through the heavy crowd weary of any exorcists.

Not until Amaimon snatched his hand away did he realise he had grabbed it, ducking his head away from the other in embarrassment as he continued to lead. "This way." He coughed turning a corner.

Amaimon wiped his hand against his long coat in indifference; nodding at his half-brother's directions with only one thing on his mind, which if it wasn't beating something up until it was slime, it was usually food.

That was all Amaimon's life consisted of after all. If his aniue didn't need him for one of his schemes, he was either killing, eating or sleeping. So once the balance was thrown off, it was no surprise that he got a little cranky.

Killing Rin was out of the question, he was the one that supplied him with food after all and he might have been angry, but he wasn't stupid.

He supposed he could always ditch his younger brother and go steal something but being in true cross town, he was bound to get into trouble. No doubt his aniue already knew of his and Rin's presence and was probably keeping a close eye on the two, so he knew it was no use.

Plus angering his aniue even more was the last thing he wanted to do at that moment, Mephisto may have seemed relaxed but he was just as good at hiding his emotions as Amaimon was.

And Amaimon knew he was pissed.

If he made any wrong move when his older brother was so furious, he'd be pulled away from Rin's watch and into one of his aniue's worlds where he would be kept in isolation and boredom until his trial.

Being with Rin was the best option out of the two, so with great amount of effort he didn't break the other's hand when he had grabbed it, only yanked it away like the whole thing was nothing.

And though his younger brother's awkward, bashful reaction had been slightly cute, it had only caused the urge to break not only just his hand, but his entire arm too.

Rin was annoying, his naive nature and ability to draw his family's interest irritated him to no end. And though at times he succeeded in entertaining the earth king, Rin was still weak and someone Amaimon needed to destroy.

But something like that would have to wait, he really didn't want to be locked up in the dark of one of his aniue's worlds or familiars, so for now he'd act like an obedient demon. Well maybe obedient wasn't the right word, he'd still give Rin trouble but he just wouldn't punch his younger brother into a bloody heap of guts.

Amaimon didn't even know where Rin was taking them, the mention of food was more then enough to get the earth king to follow him. Only now did he really start to think about it though, the only clues he got was that text message Rin had received that had left him smiling.

He figured it was probably Rin's annoying piles of flesh he called friends, the ones he had injured the first and last time he had met them.

Humans weren't worth Amaimon's time so he was not looking forward to meeting those worthless insects again. Though it did excite him thinking of their reactions when they would meet up with Rin only to find the earth king as well. That should be fun, maybe he'd even get in a fight!

Or maybe he shouldn't because aniue was watching him. But if he didn't start it then it wasn't his fault, right? Amaimon grinned following Rin around another corner feeling just as excited as the other.

Around the corner was an alley bathed in afternoon light. It was busy, the many citizens crowding around stalls and shops. Amaimon could see that they were for clothes, jewellery and many more but the ones that stood out to him were the one that promised him food.

Wearing a giant smile, Amaimon started for the first one he saw. He didn't know what monjayaki was but it smelt delicious and right now he could have eaten anything. Plus Japan's food always held good surprises for him, he hadn't had something he hadn't liked yet.

Though he supposed he wasn't really a picky eater, he remembered how shocked his aniue had been when he had tried to eat his special pink PlayStation controller, proclaiming it wasn't even food.

But if it tasted good then it was food, he didn't understand why he had even gotten in trouble for that. Mephisto always related him to those kindergarterners that liked to eat insects and dirt at the playground, Amaimon never got why but found being compared to a human child offending anyway.

A hand on his shoulder pulling him back threw him away from his thoughts; sharply turning around to face the perpetrator who prevented him from getting to paradise, it took everything he had not to punch Rin off the planet of the earth.

Not expecting such a harsh glare from Amaimon, Rin jumped in surprise. "Okay okay, I get you're hungry." Rin held his hands up in defence, trying to calm the other before he got out of control and started smashing things. "But we're almost there, so just hold on a little longer." He pleaded, bringing his raised hands together to beg.

It was a long while of just staring at each other, Rin not wanting to step on any land mines didn't say anything, just waited for the other to agree. Which was just as well, for Amaimon was trying to regain his composer from wanting to pull his little brother to pieces.

After their stomachs rumbled simultaneously Amaimon had finally broken eye contact, leaving Rin to sigh heavily in relief and continue leading the way.

"Thank you."

Walking through the busy alley, the two come to a more open and less crowded area. Clear sky and long landscape in the horizon, they were able to see the True Cross monorail in the distance.

In the centre of the bricked area, stood a lone fountain. Amaimon wasn't surprise to see his aniue as the centre piece, water splashing upwards from his umbrella.

Rin was the one who spotted the group first, a large smile growing across his face and blue eyes glinting with excitement, he waved and yelled out to the others trying to gain their attention.

Running up to his friends all the while still waving. Amaimon though, chose to casually walk.

"Hey guys!" Rin yelled with joy, making the group of friends turn from the pretentious fountain to the energetic teen.

"Rin!" Shiemi smiled waving back at the other before she too ran up to meet him. Bon mumbled something about Rin being over enthusiastic while the other's waved back, happy to see their friend after a long week.

"About time he showed up." Izumo huffed crossing her arms, turning back to study the hideous fountain.

"Come on Izumo, aren't you glade to se-" Shima started before he was cut off by his own shock, eye's widening in horror as he watched Amaimon the earth king make his way over to them through a crowd of people.

From the look on his face, Shima could tell he wasn't amused, grimacing when Amaimon roughly shoved his way through to them.

What the hell was he doing here!? Shima gulped turning to the others to see if they were seeing the same thing.

By how pale Konekomaru had gotten and how stunned Bon and Yukio looked he figured he wasn't just hallucinating. "What is Rin thinking?" Izumo gasped as she turned back around to see why everyone had gone quiet.

"Rin! Glad to see you!" Shiemi beamed at the taller, making Rin laugh and rub his neck to hide his slight blush.

"You too Shiemi." Rin smiled. The thought of Sheimi dating his brother never crossed his mind as he shyly grinned at the shorter girl in front of him, and at that moment he couldn't have cared less, he was just so ecstatic to be seeing her again.

His crush for Shiemi had never totally disappeared after all, but he ignored it for the sake of her's and Yukio's relationship. But that didn't mean he couldn't be happy to see her again, even if it had been for a short while.

Gulping he decided he'd lean in for a hug, knowing Yukio wasn't the kind to get mad over something as dumb as that.

Before he could however, he felt a firm hand grab at his shoulder pulling him back from the almost embrace.

Rin felt his eye twitch, holding in the urge to punch Amaimon square in the face; he turned to face him instead. Seeing the small glint of pride in the other's eye Rin could tell this was his way of pay back when he had pulled him back from that food joint earlier. That bastard.

"Oh!" Shiemi spoke up, interrupting the heated glaring contest the two males in front of her were holding.

Rin's eyes widened in sudden realisation, remembering what had happened between Shiemi and Amaimon back on that camping trip. Suddenly worrying that Shiemi was terrified to see the other again, he had turned in full panic.

Instead he had found that her smile had never left. "Are you one of Rin's friends?" She asked sweetly at the demon, total innocence in her green eyes.

If Rin had been a cartoon character his jaw would have hit the pavement, he even sworn he saw Amaimon, who was usually calm and collected do a double take.

He guessed being hypnotised had left a toll on Shiemi's memory. It served that broccoli right though, after what he did to her, he didn't deserve to stay such a cute girls memory.

"Shiemi, that is Amaimon." Yukio spoke up from behind seeing as Rin was unable to explain after being left dumbfounded.

"Hm?" Shiemi innocently blinked in slight confusion, her lack of knowledge on demons not helping.

"As in the Amaimon who kidnapped you during our camping excursion." Yukio elaborated; glaring at the perpetrator with a look that said "Try anything like that again and I'll exorcise you myself."

Sheimi's eyes grew in horror as she finally recalled the demon, backing away slightly with a tremble. "Huh! T-then why?"

"Exactly what I want to know!" Bon yelled from the fountain gaining everyone's attention. Konekomaru nervously tried to calm him down while strangely enough Izumo nodded at Bon's outburst, wanting to know why herself.

Rin was taken aback; brow rising in confusion . "I thought Yukio would have told you that I was looking after him." He shrugged looking at his twin.

"I did." Yukio sighed pushing his glasses further up his face with an annoyed look. "But I never thought you'd bring him here."

"Yeah well you can thank Mephisto for that!" Rin hmphed in protest, crossing his arms to look away from the accusing glares from his friends. It was the clowns fault after all, thanks to him he wasn't able to leave the house without Amaimon escaping.

"DUMBASS!" Bon yelled once again, causing Konekomaru to flinch and Shima to laugh awkwardly. "Bringing the earth king to True Cross town isn't something you can decide on your own without telling us." Rin turned back to angrily glare at the other.

What was their problem? Didn't they understand that if he had told them about his situation with Amaimon not being able to be fully imprisoned then they wouldn't have let him come?

Didn't they understand the need he had to see them after that one agonising Week? The stress and isolation he felt after being parted for what felt like an eternity for him.

Okay so maybe he was being a little over dramatic, but still! None of them would have visited knowing the earth king was there, besides Yukio that is, but he had been busy this past week up until today.

He didn't come here to argue though, he came here to relax and have fun. Something he couldn't do with the burden of keeping watch over the earth king.

Amaimon though looked as if he was having a blast, obviously happy that he had caused this scrabble amongst them. Once again Rin had to control himself from punching him square in the face.

"H-how are we meant to have fun with the earth king here?" Konekomaru quietly stuttered from where he stood half hidden behind a scowling Bon.

"Didn't he kill all those students at True Cross academy? I-I don't want to be one of them." Konekomaru gulped. "Not to mention he already broken my arm once."

Amaimon's grin had dropped at that, eyes glinting as he glared at Konekomaru making him jump and hide further behind Bon.

"Hey!" Rin moved to touch Amaimon's shoulder gaining his attention from his friend, Amaimon only pouted in annoyance, but had stopped intimidating Konekomaru much to Rin's appreciation.

As much as Amaimon was ticked off by that small brat from his accusations of him murdering those humans, he didn't feel like getting into trouble at that moment. Maybe later when he was fed and his aniue wasn't watching.

"I think we should still go." Shiemi nervously piped in. Too shy to look at the group, she blushed looking down at her light pink Yukata. "I mean, he hasn't done anything bad yet."

Amaimon was shocked by that, was this girl defending him?

"Shiemi, he is a dangerous demon." Yukio replied, walking up to pull her back from said demon who looked at her quizzically.

"But I don't think we should judge to early!" Sheimi protested, turning to grab Yukio's hand from her shoulder. Her blush only grew deeper at her outburst but her determination still stood strong.

If knowing Rin taught her anything it was not to judge demons too early before getting to know them.

Neither Yukio or Rin wanted to correct Shiemi and tell her that Amaimon was a well known demon known for his evil mischievous acts, and it was already too late not to judge. But her innocent face only made the two brothers stutter at a lost for words.

"You fool." Izumo huffed instead of the two Okumura's, crossing her arms as she sat up from the fountain. "Amaimon is a big shot, he can kill us all right now if he wanted too."

Yes, he could kill them all right now, the earth king was definitely capable of that. It was just he didn't want too.

The loud girl should stop flattering herself, he only killed things worth the challenge after all, or that made fun of him. He didn't kill just because he could and he definitely could kill them all in a heart beat. Where was the fun in that? He guessed Rin would be fun though, but that would have to wait until his aniue was done with him.

"Just because you may not remember him injuring and messing with us doesn't mean it didn't happen!" Izumo continued looking highly annoyed.

Amaimon decided he didn't like this girl, she was loud and prevented him from eating. He wasn't doing anything wrong at the moment anyway, so what was the big deal?

"But Rin will look after him, he was able to stop him just then with Konekomaru." Shiemi proclaimed, turning to face back at Rin with a nervous smile on her face. "That's why the chairman gave him to you, right Rin?"

If Rin could have explained to her that Mephisto only did that because he was an evil bastard that made it his mission in life to cause Rin misery without disappointing her or making him sound like an idiot, then he would of. But instead he only nodded in agreement.

Shiemi's smile grew bigger at that, feeling brave she even turned to Amaimon to give him his very own smile.

Amaimon's light blue eyes widened, no one had ever smiled at him like that before.

He didn't like it.

Not only did it make him feel like he was being patronised, but he also didn't appreciate a human thinking it was alright to be friendly towards him, like they were on equal grounds.

But he supposed this small human did stick up for him, which meant she helped him get closer to his goal to a long awaited lunch.

"I like her." Amaimon decided.

"Nope." Rin cut in, pushing Amaimon back from a startled Shiemi.

Yukio heavily sighed, making the two demon's who were struggling to push the other aside look up."I guess it can't be helped." Taking off his glasses, he pinched at the space between his brows sensing an oncoming headache.

Rin who was in the middle of Shiemi and a displeased Amaimon looked at his twin in dumbfoundment, which soon slowly faded into a large grin.

Smiling ear to ear Rin jumped in triumph, throwing his fist in the air with a loud "Yahoo!" Shiemi stepped back in surprise but then giggled; Laughing along with her enthusiastic friend.

"I can't believe this!" Bon exclaimed.

"We're all going to die."

"Don't say that Izumo!" Konekomaru trembled.

"Um, well then I guess if that's settled." Shima shrugged. Even though he was terrified of the earth king, heck the guy even broke his ribs! He really had just found the whole situation troublesome, he just wanted to go and do something already, even if that meant that a high ranked demon had to come along. "What are we doing for lunch?" He awkwardly smiled in hopes they were ready to go.

"monjaki!" Amaimon cheerfully answered from where he was from behind Rin who was still trying to push him back from Shiemi, a large smile stretched across his face causing Izumo, Bon, Konekomaru, Shima and Yukio to look at the demon in bewildment.

Rin rolled his eyes. "It's monjayaki idiot."

sorry I had to end it before it got to the fun part, but I wanted to make this idea drag out a little before I get to writing the part I'm most excited about! I'm up to chapter six now and it wont be long until I'll start working on Rin's and Amaimon's chemistry, yay.
