Chapter 3-Fight break out

Erica was sorting through the sheets of loose-leaf. Trying to put the story back in order. It seem that it was the perfect time. Now, that she was settle in her dorm room.

It was sized enough for two people. On opposite sides, there was two bed. Next to each of the bed there was desks. Behind the desk, there was a giant widow. On the far right corner, there was a closet. Near two dressers.

Her roommate was not there, at the moment. She was not able to introduce herself yet. Erica had to wonder what kind of girl she was. Hopefully, they would get along.

That was not the only thing on her mind. She was reflecting on the conversion, she had with Dark. While they were walking towards the dorm, Erica asked him about the person they encountered.

"So, who was he?" asked Erica

"Ludwig," he inquired, as to who she was refer to "he is the Student Council President"

"Really,"

"Yeah, he really takes his job seriously," answered Dark

"I could tell. Still, I could not help to notices that he had an accent. German, I think"

"You have a keen ear," Dark commented "yes, he is German"

"How does a German teenager become the President of the Student Council?"

"The school is open to students all over the world. Not just the teens in the local area and the areas around here"

"Oh, I see. I guess, the potential is everywhere" Erica chuckled

"Yeah," replied "and don't let it worry you. He might be strict on the rules. It is not as if, he is a dictator or he going to be rough on you for not knowing the rule. He is a rather great guy. He has been through a lot of stress lately"

"Does it have to do with that girl he mention?" she asked, "do you know anything about that?"

"Not personally," he answered, "I only heard rumors. A girl disappeared, in the midnight. As to where, when, and how, I don't know. I believe that there is investigation going on"

"I hope everything turns out alright" Erica replied

"Yeah," Dark said in return.

It was a few minutes, after that conversion. They arrived at the dorms. Erica thanked Dark. Then, she found her room. Once she was settled, she began to reorganize her story.

Erica was enjoying the peace and quiet, when someone entered the room. She was a redhead. She was slightly on small size. She was wear causal clothes. She wore a short sleeve dress. To completely the outfit. She had black legging, white boots, and a yellow vest.

The girl jumped onto the bed, on the opposite side of the room. She was about take a bit of she sandwich, when she caught of Erica. She simply froze. Staring at her blankly.

"Hello," Erica said, giving a small wave

"Who are you?" asked the redhead

"Oh, I am Erica. I am your new roommate" Erica answered, as she extended her hand

"WHAT?"

"Well, I arrived here just today. According to the information I receive, this is my dorm room"

"You got to be kidding me"

"It even said it on the door" Erica pointed out. She was a bit confused. Surly, this was the right room.

The girl ran to check the door. Her eyes squinted at the writing on the door. Erica, then, hear make an outcry of frustration. Before, she took off down the hall.

Now, she was really confuse. She check the door, in order to be sure. In fact, it was true. Her name was on the door.

She decide to follow her roommate. She wanted to make sense of what was going on. For, hoped she had not said anything to upset her.

Erica reached the main floor. She saw that the girl was towards the back offices. As quickly as possible, she caught up to her. Before, Erica could ask the reason for the reaction. The redhead entered one of the offices.

The office had a window. Through the window, a woman was in there. Erica recognize her. Her name was Miss. Medusa. She was the school nurse. Along with the head of the dorm.

Erica slowly and quietly went towards office door. She would listen, as to what the issue was. Even though, she might not be the cause of it.

"What is this time, Lina?" asked Miss. Medusa

"I thought that I would have a room to myself"

"What makes think that? Just because you and old roommate did not get along. She moved to another room. Does not mean that you would entire room to yourself"

"Yeah, but no one told me" Lina exclaimed

"Well, you were not on room at the time. Nor, you were anywhere to be found to relay this information"

Lina gave a low groan. While she was annoyed, she know there was nothing she could do to change the situation. Therefore, there was no point in arguing any further. For that reason, she decide to leave.

When she came out, it notices Erica was there. Lina stared at her. Erica realize that she might not like the fact that she was eavesdropping.

"I am sorry," Erica apologized "I did not mean to listen in. It was I was not sure, why you were upset"

Lina just look at her. Then, she walked off to the room. As Erica watched her, she could not help to feel. She made a horrible impression with her new roommate. What perfect start to life. Making an enemy on her first day. Way to go.

As time passes, there was awkward tension in room. Even though, they did not say a single word to one other. Obviously, Lina was pissed at Erica. Would not give her the time of day. Erica did not want to push her luck.

It was about five o'clock, the chime of the bells to the hour. Erica heard the crowd of girls going into the hallways. Out of the corner of her eye, she Lina was doing the same. To her guess, they all were heading towards the Cafeteria. For, it was the time for dinner.

She decided that she would follow the crowd. Instead of striking another conversion with Lina. She felt that, it is best way avoid a conflict.

They all lead to a large building at the end of the pathway that was at way from the dorms. It was large white square building. The double door were, with a large amounts of students head in. She also notice there a few students park outside on picnic table.

Once she enter the building, she went through the lunch line. The question was now, where was she going to sit. She did not know anyone around. It is hard to go up ask to sit with them. She ponder what she should do.

She began to take a step back. In an effort to get a better angle, in case there was an empty table. When she did, there was tray that she went into her back. With that, Erica spun around. There was a silver-haired young man with red eyes. Accompanying him, two other young men. In fact they appeared to be in their early twenties. The one had blonde hair, that went down to his shoulder, with tiny a tiny bread to match. His eye were the color blue. The other had short brown hair with green eyes.

"Sorry, I was no watching where I was going" she said to the group

"Well, well, what do we have?" said the sliver-haired young man. He spoke with German accent.

"It is a chica" the brown hair spoke with of Spanish accent.

"Thank you Le capitaine obvious" the French speaking blonde

After give a quick glance at his two friends, the turn his attention back to Erica. "I take it that you are new, here"

"Yes, my name is Erica Lane"

"That is nice" he said, in a tone that was say 'not important', "I am Gilbert. The most awesome a person here. Not to mention, I run this place. Oh, this Francis and Antonio"

"Really"

"Of course" he said "So, how about eat with us, yes. It good to get with the popular crowd, now. Maybe even, get a boyfriend"

"Not interested" Erica stated. She realize what he was trying to take advantage of opportunity. He through that she was a native girl that he would be an easy score. Not a strong independent woman, who could stand on her own. She was not a fan.

"Oh come on," said Francis "Good looking such as yourself should be with the most gorgeous man around here"

"Once again, not interested"

Erica begin to walk away. At this point, she did not care where she sat. She wanted these guys to leave her alone. It was things such as this that got on her nerves. Not being here a full day, guys was trying to pick her up. She was not looking for a relationship. She just wanted to get settle into her new life.

However, the three of them did not take the hint. They continue to follow her. Along with make comment, in their attempts to convince her let down her walls. Give them I chance to show her what true love is. Erica was using all her strength to ignore them.

All the sudden they stopped. When Erica turned, she saw that someone was standing in between her and them. It was Dark. He seem to be glaring at the trio. While his friend slow joined him, standing by his side.

His friend appear to be about seventeen. His sliver was short. His eyes was shade of lavender. A slim figure was the build of his body.

"Can I help you, three" said Dark

"Mousy, Kiryu" Gilbert said, through gritted teeth

"Why are you here?" asked Francis

"It isn't obvious" said Kiryu

"This does not concern you" said Antonio

"When one of my friends is involved, it is my concern" said Dark

"Friend" repeated Gilbert

"Oh, honhon, I see," said Francis, "you saw first. Now, you staking a claim on her"

"Sheesh, I know you tend to the most popular girls. But, you could leave some with us" remarked Antonio

"Maybe you should you find someone your own age, I find it pathetic." said Dark

"Pathetic" the trio said

"Truly pathetic" said Kiryu

"Pathetic that ignore her wishes. For, you are so desperate not to look a loser. It is no wonder that Elizabeta dumped you."

Gilbert appear to be taken back, at first. Staring at Dark, with his mouth hanging open. As if, he was a loss word. However, he then lung forward and grabbing Dark be the collar. Dark try to get him off. Kiryu went to the aid of his friend. Francis and Antonio was try to get Gilbert to let him go. It was turning into scuffle.

Erica place her tray on the nearest table. When to try to stop the fight herself, since her was the subject they were of the fight, both Dark and his friend was force backward. With that, Erica was flung backward herself. She fell to the floors. However, not before, the back of her head made contact with the edge of the nearest table.

There was large amount pain. Not only the spot, where edge of the table came into contact with her head. A headache began to increase. It was not pass in any time soon. She brought hand to her head and a small groan.

"Oh, Erica" said Dark. He ran over to her. "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to do that"

The trio began to back away. However, Dark's friend saw them. "Where you think do are going?" he shouted, as he was about lunge at them.

"Zero, don't waste time" said Dark, "find a teacher. She might need to go the nurse office"

Zero pass them. It was few second later that, he returned. Behind him was a man. He had short white hair. His eyes laid behind a pair of glasses. Over his grey button down shirt and khaki pants, there was a white lab coat.

He knelt down in front of Erica, while Dark explained what happen. "I see" he said, "well, Erica where are feeling the pain?"

"Right here," she said placing her hand on the lump on the back of her head, "I had got a headache"

"How many finger am I hold up", he asked

He was raising his hand. Three long pale looking fingers stood up. While the others remain in a balled up fisted. "Three, sir"

"Do smell any weird smells?"

"No" she answered

"Then, I guess, all you have is a bump on the head. If you come with me, I will get an ice pack and Tylenol" he said, as he helped Erica to her feet. "As for the rest of you, you five will as come to my office"

"But…But, Dr. Stein" Gilbert stared

"No, buts. Move"

The five young men marched their way out of the out of the cafeteria. Dr. Stein followed behind, with lead Erica in front of him. He gently pushing her in the directions she should go in. For a while, they were heading straight.

They reach the office of Dr. Stein. It appear to be a typical office for a teacher. Only things to stand out was the number of anatomy posters throughout the office. For that, Erica come to the conclusion that he was the biology teacher.

He offered Erica a seat on a chair. After he gave her the medication to relieve the pain and an ice pack, his attention the group of boys. They all stood in front of Dr. Stein desk. They all appear to be anxious as to what the teacher had to say.

"Well, gentlemen, what should supposed to do with you? It appear that all you care about is getting to trouble" he said staring at them

"They are the ones that started it" Francis said, as he pointed Dark and Zero.

"Us" stated Dark, "you were the ones, who would not leave her alone"

"So," said Antonio

"Are you that thick headed?" asked Zero, "It is creepy. Hitting on a girl, who is clearly three years younger that you"

"Enough," said Dr. Stein

The room went silent. No one dare to say anything. Then, Dr. Stein continue to speak. "First off, you boys need to think about how your actions affects others. You should be consider myself lucky, that this young lady did not get a concussion. In addition, you all do not need any more on our record. Especially, you three"

He stared at the trio. "Do you want to make things worse for yourselves? You all have been held back twice. If you this behavior keep up, it was going to happen again. Do you want that to happen?"

They did not respond. However, Erica could see their eyes shift to one another. It was almost they were having a silent conversion with one another. As if, they should speak up. There was more to the story. Still, there was no telling what Dr. Stein would respond.

Dr. Stein did not notice. His attention went to Dark and Zero. "As for you two, you are not far behind. True, your acts are not have not warranted any immediate action. Still, it is becoming considering. I hate for you to not reach your potential, for acting so stupid"

After lecturing the five for a few seconds more, he give them all detention. Then, dismiss them. Once they were gone, Erica approached. "Um, Dr. Stein"

"Oh, Miss Lane, how are feeling? I hope the swelling has gone down"

"Yes," she said, "sir, can I say something?"

"Of course" he answered

"It was not really Zero and Dark's fault. The three would back off, when I told them that I was not interested. They were helping me. I don't think they should get punish that"

"I see" he said, "still, they made the choice. It only fair for them to receive the proper punishment"

Erica was about open her mouth, to further protest. However, she felt it was pointless. It appear that Dr. Stein was firm in his decision. In addition, she did not want to get on a teacher bad side. Especially, this earlier.

With that, she left the office. She quickly went to grab her dinner and take to a table outside. To save herself for any more bad luck.
