Chapter 4- Gone Missing

Erica quietly made her way back cafeteria. After the fiasco last night, it was a place she would like to avoid. However, it wasn't do her any good to do so. In fact, it was the problem at her old school. She in some ways acted anti-social. Everyone might think she was stuck up and too good to socialize with the other students. When the truth is, she was not. It just that she wanted to avoid confrontation. Not to mention, the reputation that would come along with it.

Either way she looked at it, there was negative consequences of her attitude .Might as well, deal with any drama that will play out this morning. Who knows, it might be a good day. In fact, her mom could have been telling her the truth. She would be the one, who can really make it better or worse for herself.

After she got her food, she sat at table alone. Not that there was a lot of students out and about, at this early. Even Lina appear to in a deep sleep, at this time. That would change in about an hour or so.

While she was in the middle of the meal, a teenage boy, about her age, came over to her. He had short straggly blonde hair. His eyes were bright green eyes. Another outstanding feature was his brushy eyebrows.

"Hi" she said

"Are you Erica Lane" he asked, in a British accent.

"Yes, can I help you?"

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Arthur Kirkland, your student class president" he introduce himself, "It is my duty to make sure that all new or current students know that all basic information to this school. If you do not mind, I would like to take a look at your schedule"

"Oh, sure", she said. After taking her schedule out from her books, she passed it to him. As his scan it, Erica wonder why need to see her schedule.

"Ah, this works out perfectly" he said

"How"

"As I said before, my duties are to make sure you know all the basic information. I thought it would be a good idea, if you shadow me for the day"

"Sure, I guess" she said.

"Great," he said, "I will meet up outside, after the assembly."

"Assembly"

"Yes", he said "the students is holding assembly. Apparently, there was an incident has happen. As the investigation is taking place, they want to let the students know. Not to mention, the new safety preceptors. It will take place after breakfast."

"Oh, alright" Erica said.

"I need pass on this information the other in our class about the assembly. Remember, meet me outside when it is done" he gave her the remind her.

When he did, Erica went back to her breakfast. As she did, her mind began to wonder. This was the second time that an incident was method. Is the same incident, that Ludwig had mention? He mention something about a girl. Could she be the girl from my vision? What could happen to her?

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted. Someone knocked on the table. It made her jump.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," said Dark

"Oh, it is okay," she told him

"Do you mind if I sit down?" he asked

"You really want to" she asked surprise, "After, what happen yesterday"

"Don't tell you been blaming yourself for that"

"A little," she answered "I was the subject of the fight. I could have done more to stop you all. I also tried to get you and Zero out of detention. But, Dr. Stein would not listen"

"I appreciate the though. Still, you didn't do anything wrong. Those jerks couldn't take no as answer. I couldn't let that continue"

"Thanks," Erica said

As they ate their breakfast, they went back and forth in the conversion. Dark shared his knowledge own the teachers and the way the classes were proceed. Erica did find some of it useful. It sure make it easier, for starting the semester.

The giant clock showed it was hour and half, before classes start. Erica began to pick up her tray. "Going already?" Dark asked

"There is an assembly before the first period" Erica said, "I don't know where exactly where it is. I could use this time to figure it out"

"Oh, I could show you. It is no problem at all"

Dark lead Erica to the theater building. Apparently, it was the only place that was big enough for the whole student body. There was a few students in the building already. Apparently, she is one of few students that like to get an early start.

After a while, Dark and Erica take their seats. But, they were not seating together. Apparently, students would be seated by grade. Erica sat in the middle. While, Dark sat in the far back.

It did not take long, for the entire theater was filled. All of the school body was in building. Students began finding their seat. At one point, Erica notices that Lina was walk down the aisle. She came to the row that Erica was in. Lina notice that the only seats available, was near new roommate. She, probably out of avoid an awkward period of time, went to the next row and a seat in front of Erica.

Erica didn't focus on this too long. For, a familiar voice came next to her. "Oh, there you are"

She turned her head and saw Arthur was stand there. "Oh, hi here. I thought you wanted me to meet you outside, afterwards"

"Well, yes. However, I realize that you probably didn't know where the assembly was. I was going to offer my assistance. Although, it appears that it wasn't necessary"

"Well, Dark Mousy offered to see me" she replied

"Dark Mousy" said Lina in a raised voice. She was quickly turn in the chair. Basically, she was kneeling in the chair, as she faced Erica.

"Don't tell me, you have been spending time with that jerk" she continued on

"Lina, what does it matter if she has? It has nothing to do with you" Arthur commented

"She is my roommate. I want to stay away from him, as much as possible. If she going to date him, I would have to be in presences"

"You're her new roommate" he inquired. Looking at Erica, she gave him a simple nod. He gave a whistle. Leaving the impression that Erica was going to have a difficult time being at this school. However, she decided to put that on the backburner and focus on address Lina claims.

"Wait, I never said that I was going to date him" Erica stated

"I am glad to hear it. He is nothing but a creep. He might act sweet towards you. It would only be a matter of time before he breaks your heart"

"Lina," Arthur said "just because it didn't work out between you two. Doesn't mean you have rant about him to everyone. Or, tear down his character to eliminate any chance to move on with someone else. Beside, you have a fair share in the failure"

Lina was about to retort. When, the headmistress approached the center of the stage. She clapped her hands together. With the third or fourth clap, the crowd settle down. "Everyone, I am sure you are all are wondering, why you are here this morning".

The time has come for the assembly to begin. It appeared the student council was present on the stage with the teacher. Erica could tell, because she saw Ludwig was standing in the middle of the group of students.

The one thing that Erica was consider about. There was two police officers was also on the stage. She figured that this had to about that girl. Maybe she could finally find out what happen to her. If she was safe or continue to be missing.

"It gives me the great sorrow to tell you all. Rise Kujikawa has gone missing for several days. It is unclear as to how or why. That is why, there will be an on-going investigation. Officers Mustang and Hughes will be heading the investigation. If anyone has any information, please come forwards. If not, please answer the officers' questions honestly. We want her to come back soon and safe."

Arthur tensed up in his seat. It appears that this news, causes him a good deal of stress. Erica wonder if he had some type of connection to her.

Erica would have asked, if the headmistress began to speak again. "Since we don't know whether this was a single act or the start of serial kidnappings. We must take safety precautions. The curfew would be at nine o'clock, instead at midnight. You will have to check in and out with the head of the dorm head. When, you come and go. As well as, taking the ferry into town. And to insure this, I ask students to form a team that reinforced these new rules. Remember, these rules are for your own safety"

Soon as she was done, the crowd rose. There are all sorts of chatter was spreading. Without a doubt, it was about the information they just learned.
