I know it's been a while since my last update, but I wanted to wait to give you guys my opinion of the Smurfs 2! I just got back from seeing it. It was absolutely awesome! It also inspired me to do a little 'Smurf of the Chapter' thing. If there's a Smurf and/or Smurfette you want to help me with the reviews and disclaimer and stuff. Today I thought I would start off with one of the main Smurfs of The Smurfs 2, Vanity Smurf!

(audience claps and shouts as Vanity struts in like going down a catwalk)

Vanity: (blows kisses to the audience) I know, I know! It's not every day one as handsome as moi accepts such an important duty!

Crafty: (blinks) You're throwing in a comment or two every once in a while.

Crafty, (whispers) Vanity is a delicate Smurf. Don't ruin this for him. (normal voice) I can't believe I would say this but…Vanity Smurf, you were my favorite Smurf of the whole movie! (crushes Vanity in a hug)

Vanity: Ack!...Darling *gasp* you're crushing my *wheeze* smurfy handsomness…!

Sorry, Vanity! (lets go of Vanity) You were just so…smurfy and cute! Positively adorable!

Vanity: (smirks and puffs chest out in pride while looking into his mirror) Darling, you don't need to tell me that. I know!

Crafty: (scowls and crosses arms) Narcissist…

Anyway, I don't know if you noticed, but I changed the name of the last chapter from 'Ipati's Fear of Scaredy' to 'Ipati's Scaredy Scare'. I thought it was more catchy and clever. I hope you like it. Also, I'm sure you guys have also noticed the update of my other Smurfs story, The Sapphire and the Smurf. I swear it's going to be my most adorable masterpiece! Okay, time to look at some reviews.

Zinka17-Anybody who treats their girl or boyfriend like that deserves to be punched. It is a stupid law that shouldn't even exist, but does anyway. You are right though, when something like that happens, it can't be fixed by something like an "I love you" or even Cupid's love arrows.

Vanity: (scoffs) So not true! Watch and learn. (brings up his mirror and flashes a charming smile) I love you…Oh, stop it! You flatterer!

Crafty: (rolls eyes in annoyance) Air head…

Chloe-I know, maybe I should explain further. I made it a sort of stereotype that a snake's ferocity is driven by the fear that they can smell. When Scaredy is near him, the fear only makes him become a bit more vicious than usual. And when Scaredy sees that, he becomes even more scared, which makes Ipati even more aggressive and so on and so forth. It's why he almost killed them when they found the portal to New York in the last story.

Vanity: One of the scenes I was glad to be seen and not heard.

Crafty: Unfortunately, the only scene that ever happened.

spannerette-Don't kill Gutsy just yet. I'm sorry to say that I can't tell you if you were right or wrong. I want this contest to be a challenge and I vowed to tell nobody of their right or wrong answers until the chapter when Crafty's animal is revealed. I will, however, give one more final hint.

The actor that voices one of Crafty's closest friends voiced the animal that she will be. So that there will be no more confusion, I will give an example. For example, Sweepy is a very close friend of Crafty's and the actor that voices him also voices Pongo from 101 Dalmations: Patch's London Adventure, so a guess would be a Dalmatian. It's not right, but that's what I'm going for. Be sure to take all of her friends into consideration, present and former. Good luck.

Candy Girl-I couldn't agree more. Crafty and Gutsy are just too good together to separate.

Benny-Hey, it's something to give props to Scaredy for. Thank you for the encouragement and actually, creative writing will be my minor. My major will be pre-veterinary. If you haven't noticed already, I'm a real animal lover. Anyway, yes, believe it or not, Sailor Smurf was just as happy, kind, and smurfy as the rest of us at one time. Alas, that was a very long time ago. I'm talking hundreds of millions of years ago. Heh, I know, poor badger. Doesn't even know what's coming to him.

That answers the question of how Crafty lost her memories and who did it. She actually accidentally did it to herself. That's why her memories returned to her when she said the incantation. Benevolent is not a ghost, he is a spirit. He would be a ghost if he had unfinished business. And he is very good friends with Era, even though she is far older than him. Oh, yes. Benevolent and Sailor know each other very very well, but not in a good way. In my opinion the story gets jucier, I'm not sure what you guys will think. I hope you like it anyway.

flowerpower71-*whistles impressed* You are the first and probably the only one to guess that. You are actually absolutely right. Finally, someone looks at the subtle little hints when something isn't right. Let's face it, people: Gutsy follows no rules when it comes to love. I can't believe nobody noticed how "Gutsy" knew that Angel the dove was really Benevolent Smurf besides you.

SmallSunshine-Ipati only really fears of what he'll end up doing because of what Scaredy's fear does to him. Fortunately, with much help and training, it can easily be overcome to the point where Ipati can be in the same room with Scaredy and he not go insane because of him. I have to say I don't know if Era will be the only one. I know she'll be the only one in this story and the next.

I wish I could tell you how many chapters there will be. I don't even know. I have the whole plot planned out in my head and I know when this story will end and the next will begin, but I can't determine how many more chapters there will be. At the very least, there are ten more chapters to go.

Sapphire777- Thank you so much! And *le sigh* you're going in the same direction as just about everyone else. Don't worry, everything will be revealed in time.

TotallyAnonymous- …Wow. I have to say that…I'm kind of flattered. Nobody's ever requested a story from me. So, I guess I can. Just tell me what'cha want me to write about and I'll do my very best. Alright, it's time for the disclaimer!

I only own Crafty, Hummer, the Creatugos, Drakonai, Smurfettes, Meena, Zorathix, Era, and Sailor Smurf. Sapphire777 owns Misty, Benny owns Noctuma, flowerpower71 owns Livy and Nanu, and CartoonCaster21 owns Jo. Bye bye!

"Crafty! Are you home?" Sweepy shouted, knocking on her door early the next morning. "We haven't smurfed ya all day yesterday. Are you okay?"

"Did that no-good cobra do anythin' to hurt you, Crafty? If he did, I swear to smurf," growled Wooly, rolling nonexistent long sleeves up his arm as if getting ready for a fight.

Sweepy rolled his eyes and knocked at the door again. Still no answer, which was strange since he knew that she was usually up by now. Maybe she already went with Hefty already for a morning jog.

"What in blue blazes are you two doing here?" Hefty slowed down next to the lavender decorated mushroom as they knocked relentlessly with no answer still.

"We're trying to see if Crafty's alright. She wasn't at the picnic lunch yesterday and I didn't see her go into her mushroom last night. I'm worried for her," Sweepy answered.

"Really?" Hefty crossed his arms and looked up at her bedroom window. "I thought she was just sleeping in today. I came knocking around half an hour ago and she didn't open. If she never came back, we should go tell Papa."

"Maybe you're right," Sweepy sighed, relenting his knocking on the door. Wooly merely crossed his arms and humphed, "I mean it, though. I will knock that cobra's two front fangs out if he did anything."

"You are aware that Ipati was the one who used his body to smurf you against a tree trunk and off of his back, right?" Sweepy smirked following closely behind Hefty, who chuckled at Wooly's expense.

"Why you little-" Wooly narrowed his eyes at his ash-covered brother and went to go at him, but was stopped by Hefty pushing him back.

"Easy there, cowsmurf. Don't put a wailing on the newest Casanova of the village," he chuckled, patting Sweepy lightly on the back.

"What? What do ya mean?" Sweepy asked, not entirely knowing what his brawny brother meant.

"Don't play coy with me, Sweepy," Hefty playfully shoved his younger brother. "I saw ya dancing with Green Scarves at the Springtime Ball."

"Oh yeah! Sweepy, you sly Smurf," Wooly grabbed him in a headlock and noogied his head.

"First of all, she has a name," Sweepy growled, pushing out of Wooly's grip. "It's Charmette."

"Ah! That was a test! You are in love with her," Hefty smirked in satisfaction.

"I am not! We just shared a slow, romantic dance together. That's all!" Sweepy tried to reason, only to pause in mid-sentence as he realized what he had just said.

"Yeah. I just remembered how much girls hate slow, romantic dances too, Sweepy," Wooly snickered, high fouring Hefty in success.

"Smurf up," Sweepy complained to them both. In no time they had reached Papa's mushroom.

"Papa Smurf! Papa Smurf, it's an emergency!" Hefty called, knocking, practically pounding at the door.

Groggily, Papa Smurf opened the door, yawning as he rubbed his eyes, "Good morning, my little Smurfs. What seems to be the problem?"

"Papa, Crafty hasn't been home all night. She wasn't at the picnic lunch yesterday and she's not in her mushroom," Sweepy explained with worry in his voice.

"Hmm," Papa rubbed a hand on his beard. "I'm sure Crafty is fine. Still, perhaps we should speak with Gutsy. If anysmurf knows where Crafty may be, he would."

And so, the four Smurfs made their way to the dark orange mushroom that belonged to none other than Gutsy Smurf, not too far from Papa's own mushroom. Wooly knocked loudly on the door of his mushroom, "Wake up, compadre! We gotta talk to ya!"

Wooly kept knocking at the door, even as the door started to open until-

BAM!

"OWW!" Gutsy reared backwards, grabbing his right eye as it throbbed in pain. Wooly froze with his clenched fist still raised in the air as he turned to his brothers and father.

"Oops," was his only response.

Papa shook his head and entered the mushroom, grabbing the Scottish Smurf's shoulder, "I'm sorry for the rude greeting, Gutsy, but we need to talk for you. It's very important."

Keeping his palm over his now swelling eye, Gutsy groaned out, "Does it involve gettin' another punch in de eye?"

"No, not at all," Papa answered, sending a "We'll talk about this later" look to Wooly. The Texan Smurf shrunk back a bit with a sheepish smile as Hefty and Sweepy pushed past him to get inside. Papa cleared his throat and asked, "We were curious to know if you knew where Crafty had gone?"

Gutsy hissed as the throbbing became worse, then answered, "Haven't seen me lassie since yesterday morning at breakfast."

"That's it? Not even after you, me, and Grouchy went hiking?" Hefty asked, tilting his head.

Gutsy shook his head and said, "I wanted to, but I couldn' find'er anywhere. I assumed she smurfed te visit dose reptilian monarchs and wouldn' be back until later. I was tired, so I came'ere an' went te sleep."

"Well, she never came back and nobody seems to smurf where she is," Wooly spoke.

"What?!" That caused Gutsy to wake up in an instant while at the same time making him take his hand off of his hurt eye. The four other Smurfs gasped in astonishment.

Hefty whistled, "That's one smurf of a shiner."

Gutsy arched his eyebrows and brought his hand back up to his eye. It still felt as if it was throbbing terribly. He sent Wooly the best glare he could and said, "Yer lucky me fiancé's missin'. Otherwise, ye'd be shoved down de village square well by now."

"Gutsy," Papa warned in a stern tone. "I'll take care of Wooly later. Right now, Crafty is our main priority."

"Couldn' 'ave gotten far. She never goes too far without tellin' someone," Gutsy said, stepping outside to lead the group from the village and toward the forest.

As the mushrooms disappeared behind them, the birds began to sing their morning tunes with the forest starting to awake. They looked all around, calling out to the inventor Smurfette in hopes of drawing her out to them. Now that Ipati had been deemed a good guy and the Shadow Hounds were flushed out of the forest, they really had no reason to tear the place apart with wild abandon.

"Croo! Chee chee yup!" Wild waved down at the group of five from his tree top home. He scurried down the tree and ran on all fours to them.

"Why, good morning, Wild," Papa kindly greeted as the uncivilized Smurf stopped in front of them. "Did you happen to see Crafty around here?"

Wild nodded, but then did the strangest thing. Well, stranger than any other thing Wild had ever done before. He crawled up to Gutsy and sniffed at him, quirked an eyebrow and tilted his head, and then took another whiff of his Scottish brother.

"What're ye doin', ye squirrely Smurf?" Gutsy shoved his head away. "Just take me te me lassie."

Wild shook his head, chattering under his breath while shaking his head as he trotted off. Gutsy had followed him and kept up with him much better than the others. Though, he was only worried for Crafty. Where could she have possibly have gone that she couldn't have told someone, anyone, where she could have gone?

Wild slinked along the edge of the River Smurf, leading Gutsy through the clearing where he and Feralette had played in the previous day. He jumped up onto the tree root and sat down, patting down on it with his two clenched fists.

"Right here, Wild?" Papa asked as he, Hefty, Sweepy, and Wooly finally caught up with Wild and Gutsy. "Is this where you last saw Crafty?"

Alas, Wild shook his head and pointed off into a direction of the forest, but then suddenly crouched down and arched his back. His fingers clenched around the tree root and he shook his head frantically, chirping out what sounded like a warning.

"GAH!" Gutsy shouted as he felt himself get tackled and his whole body skid across the dirt. His body was pinned to the ground and some sort of feral creature hissed into his ear.

Wild leaped from the root and right into Feralette, making them tumble off to the edge of the river. Gutsy rolled onto his back and clenched his hand over his heart as he watched the sister of his beloved fell underneath his brother. Feralette threw him off of her and slammed her fists down on the grass and arched her back, snarling at Gutsy as she prowled low to the ground. The other Smurfs backed away in fear of getting mauled as Gutsy got to his feet.

"Whoa dere, girl! Easy now," Gutsy calmly said, putting his hands up in submission as Feralette circled him, glaring and growling at him like two beasts about to go into combat.

Feralette growled and reared back before pouncing at Gutsy once again. He involuntarily flinched back to wait for the mongoosian Smurfette to attack him, but the pain never came. Squinting one eye open, his eyelids flashed open at the sight of Feralette being suspended in midair, thrashing about as her furry dress was caught in what looked like a beak.

"Are you done yet?" Aurora's muffled voice asked though Feralette didn't look like she was about to give up just yet. The emperor penguin's body was half submerged in the River Smurf, so she only managed to keep Feralette a very short distance away from Gutsy. Feralette hissed and struggled even harder to get out of her grip.

Papa sighed in relief while at the same time running a hand down his face, "Thank you very much, Aurora. I don't know what in smurf's name has gotten into Feralette."

"Me either. Want me to ask her?" Aurora bobbed her head up and down, shaking Feralette even as she continued to fight her way out of the penguin's beak. Before long, the Smurfette was limply being bounced up and down.

Aurora stopped her ceaseless bobbing, Feralette now only swaying from side to side with her breathing seeming to calm down. The penguin gently set the Smurfette onto the river's edge. Feralette merely laid there on her back, breathing heavily and her chest heaving dramatically. Aurora then slid forward and onto the shore, pushing herself onto her webbed feet.

"Okay, what gives Feralette? You never attack people like this," Aurora put a flipper to her beak in sudden thought. "Okay, Ipati doesn't count in this situation."

Feralette rolled onto her belly and shook herself off like Puppy after a swim. She turned to Gutsy with narrowed eyes and a growl befitting a mongoose before grunting and hissing at the penguin.

"Uh huh…yeah…" Aurora's smurfy blue eyes then widened as she finished, "Okay…got it."

"Well? What's got'er so territorial all of a sudden?" Hefty asked.

Aurora closed her eyes and placed her flippers together. She took in a deep breath, and then exhaled, "I just heard something very unpleasant. I am going to translate it to you guys, and I pray to the great spirit that puts tuna in my belly that it's not true."

The Smurfs looked to each other, either very confused or very apprehensive at what they were about to hear. Nonetheless, they nodded for Aurora to begin.

She turned to Gutsy and said, "Feralette says that you were with Crafty here yesterday."

The Scottish Smurf's rusty eyebrows shot up. The other Smurfs looked between each other, then back at Aurora as she continued, "And that you two had a fight."

"Huh?" Sweepy and Wooly chorused. Hefty arched his eyebrows and Papa was just speechless. It couldn't be said that Gutsy didn't feel the same. He was beyond speechless.

"And that you broke the marriage and you ended the relationship. Then you just let her run off!" Aurora finished, sending what looked like a harsh glare at the Scottish Smurf, but her eyes begged him to tell her it wasn't true.

"Wh-what?! I already said it! I have not seen me lassie since yesterday morning! And what fight? I don' know anythin' about it!" Gutsy said, completely dreading what could've happened while he was gone.

"So you say."

All heads turned, looking for the source of the new voice that had joined the conversation. At first, they saw nothing from where they could stand, until a black head popped out of the water.

"Daddy!" Aurora gasped out, though whether it was in happiness or shock. "What're you doing here?"

"Daddy?" the Smurfs gasped as Cyrus pushed himself on his belly onto the shore. The male emperor penguin got up onto his webbed feet and shook the water from his feathers.

"I was looking for Favian when what did I see yesterday? This…no-good Scottish rogue," he poked a flipper at Gutsy's chest harshly, making him stumble back, "and Crafty going at it. She gave'im a sock to the face and stormed off. She was in tears, for the love of Antarctica!"

"Daddy…that just can't be true," Aurora whispered aloud, shaking her head. "Gutsy's just too nice…"

"That's what all girls say, honey. Look pal, I don't know what your problem is, but Crafty is like a daughter to me," Cyrus narrowed his jade green eyes, crouching down to Gutsy's eye level. Gutsy backed away nervously as did some of the other Smurfs. "Anyone who thinks it's okay to treat her like that is not okay with me."

"Now, let's just calm down!" Papa came between the two, one hand pushing gently on Cyrus' beak and the other on Gutsy's shoulder. "With all do respect, I hardly believe that Gutsy would be so harsh with Crafty. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation to all of this."

"And, with all do respect to you, I know what I saw! He's got the mark on his face to prove it!"

"Huh. Give a Creatugo the chief position of the CPPF and he thinks he knows everything."

"I know, right?" Aurora laughed, a brief second passing before her eyes widened and she looked around frantically. "Hey! Who said that?!"

"I did."

"Where?" Cyrus harshly asked, turning around along with the others to find the source of the voice. "Show yourself, you coward!"

"I'm right up here," the voice said, starting to sound irritated.

All heads went up and on a thick branch of the tree Wild was on sat the blonde-haired girl in the blue dress with Angel perched on her shoulder. She blinked and waved at them with a grin before saying, "And I'm not a coward. You just don't know where to look."

"Stay out of this, human! This doesn't concern you!" Cyrus hissed at her.

She shrugged her shoulders, "First of all, I have a name. It's Era. Secondly, whatever chaos my dad causes does concern me. Thirdly, I'm about as mortal as you are plus I'm older than you."

The part about her dad had caused the Smurfs to look at her and then at each other strangely. Aurora also had to admit she was hopelessly confused as to what she was talking about.

"Really, now? How old are you, then? Seventeen? Eighteen?" Cyrus arrogantly scoffed.

Era smirked at him and casually replied, "Two billion, five-hundred fifty four million, six-hundred forty seven thousand, eight-hundred and sixty six years old."

All jaws dropped, all except for Feralette and Wild's, who hardly had any idea how big of a number that was. Now that she had their attention, she said, "Anyway. I didn't come to brag about my age. I came to tell you that you've got the wrong Smurf."

Aurora shook her head and gaped at her all the more, "HUH?!"

Era frowned a little and pointed down at Gutsy, "That Smurf, did not do the things you think he did."

Cyrus raised a non-existent eyebrow and crossed his flippers with a huff, "Oh. And I suppose you were at the scene when it happened?"

Era scowled at the non-flying bird before slipping off the branch, landing nearly without a sound. She shook her head, "No, but my little friend here was. And he doesn't lie."

"Angel?" Wooly tilted his head, scratching it confusion. "How would that lil' bird know what happened?"

"Personally, I will vouch for Benevolent," Era pointed to the dove, "and him," she pointed to Gutsy.

"Who the smurf is Benevolent?" Sweepy whispered to Hefty, who merely shook his head and shrugged his shoulders.

"Not a clue."

"I heard that," a calm, melodic male voice spoke.

"Great, what now?!" Cyrus irritably snapped, looking around. "Quit hiding and show yourself!"

Angel took off from Era's shoulder and fluttered, attaching his small, clawed feet onto the emperor penguin's beak. The dove smirked and said,

"I assure you, Chief Cyrus, I have nothing to hide."

"T-t-t-talking dove!" Sweepy yelped, jumping back and grabbing Hefty's arm.

"You'd think he'd be used to this by now," Hefty whispered to Gutsy, who was hardly paying attention.

"Who is Benevolent, Papa Smurf?" Aurora asked, having a good majority of the attention drawn away from the dove. "Sounds like a Smurf's name to me."

"I would say it is, only I don't know any Smurf by that name," Papa hummed, rubbing his beard in thought.

As the attention was turned away, Angel turned and looked at Era, who nodded back in reply. The dove smiled and closed his eyes, spreading his wings as his body started to take on a golden glow.

This had not gone unnoticed, however, when Cyrus's eyes widened and his beak dropped. Wooly caught the glow from the corner of his eye and turned his head, only to have the same reaction as Cyrus…with a twist.

"P-p-p-PAPA!" He screeched, pointing at the glowing dove.

"What-" Hefty started.

"-the-" Sweepy gasped.

"-smurf?!" Gutsy finished.

Even with the the blinding golden light, they all could see the form of the dove begin to change. Wings became arms and hands, white feathers turned to white clothing and blue skin, and beak became mouth and face. All had to shield their eyes once the golden light flashed beyond comprehension of brightness before vanishing completely.

"Would you please set me down?" Benevolent Smurf asked, his blue hands holding onto the penguin's beak what seems to for dear life. "When I'm not a dove, I feel rather uncomfortable with my feet dangling in the air."

"GYAAH!" Cyrus screeched, his beak shaking and making Benevolent loose his grip. The Smurfs winced as the mysterious Smurf gave out a loud 'Umph!' upon landing to the ground.

"Oh dear, are you all right?" Papa rushed over to the Smurf and helped him sit up.

"Quite," Benevolent replied in a calm, normal tone. "I've taken blows worse than that. I only wish it wasn't from falling off of a penguin's beak."

"Y-ya just transformed…into a Smurf…" Wooly stated, still feeling flabbergasted.

Hefty seemed to be the only one who didn't trust the Smurf. He narrowed his eyes at him as he asked, "So…you were spyin' on our Crafty, huh?"

Benevolent had sensed the hostility growing in the brawny Smurf, yet he casually shrugged his shoulders, "More like I was watching over her. Crafty has had a tendency to get herself into trouble when I'm not around.

And that was one miscalculation that Benevolent had made: it wasn't Hefty's hostility that he was picking up on. And that was how Benevolent was forcibly shoved up against a tree with Gutsy Smurf being the shover.

"What happened?" He growled out, his hands clamping down hard on the good Smurf's shoulders.

"Gutsy, I'm sure there's an kinder way to handle this-"

"It is fine, kind elder Smurf," Benevolent interrupted Papa Smurf. "I can handle this."

"Ye'll handle nothin' and like it!" Gutsy barked at him.

Benevolent smirked at him, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see, the only way to find Crafty is to trust me. I know exactly where she has gone."

"Trust ye?! Why in de name of rotten Smurfberries should I trust ye?" the Scottish Smurf pressed the Benevolent further into the tree with angry, narrowed eyes.

"Because, unlike Era's father, I am thinking only of Crafty's happiness. And if that means the both of you being joined together, than I will see that it happens."

Gutsy's eyes, though they could only be seen by Benevolent, considerably softened and opened up a little. His grip unclenched, but only by a little.

Aurora, in a way, kind of ruined the moment by turning to Era and asking, "What does your Dad have to do with anything? What did he do?"

The blonde human sighed, "I would rather that we go and explain this to the entire village because I am not going to repeat myself."

Sorry that it's kind of short, but the story is really going to start moving along at a bit of a faster pace, so don't be embarrassed if you can't understand some parts. Feel free to ask questions! Have a smurfy day!
