Chapter 1: My Shooting Star

hey guys. This is one of my first stories so don't be too harsh :)

As the moonlight shone above the silent grounds of Neo-DEAVA, a pair of shadows emerged, dancing across the pale courtyard. As the shadows came out of the light they flew high into the sky, glowing a bright golden yellow. They soared towards the top of what remained of the Berlin; the wall that used to block women from men and vice versa. But the war was now over and the stars had never shone brighter.

As they landed their features were revealed from the moons light: a man and a woman. The man had short auburn hair that glistened and shined in the darkness, his pink eyes staring intently and the female opposing him. She, with her sleek purple hair neatly tied in a bun as usual, her pet cat Shush hidden in the knot. Her with warm green eyes that sparkled like emeralds. They were silent, only staring. Until...

"Amata..." Her voice whispered her eyes curious. He couldn't help but feel his cheeks glow pink at the very sound of her voice. She was so beautiful.

"Mikono... I have to tell you something. It's really important." He had wanted to confess his feelings for her since the day they met at the theatre that he used to work at. He had only said his mind to her once before, the day that the war ended. However, since then so much has happened that he hadn't seen her as much as he wanted to. That, and well, nothing seemed to have changed. He wondered if him saying those three meaningful words and kissing her may have freaked her out. Which is why he asked her to meet him tonight.

She gazed at him intently, making him sweat slightly. 'Damn it Mikono. No. It's not her fault. Stop being a dummy and just say it! I love you Mikono!'

"Amata? What's wrong?" She questioned worryingly.

"Oh sorry. Just going over my thoughts. But um... listen, I asked you to come here so that I could tell you how I feel. Lately... I felt as if we've grown apart with the war being over and romance being allowed. And I was kinda wondering if, well um, it's just..." Damn it. I keep stuttering. Why am I getting so worked up? I'm only confessing to the woman that I love that I want to spend eternity with her. Why is it so hard?

"Amata, I want to spend eternity with you too..." And now she's saying that she...wait what?

"Did I just say that all out loud?" She didn't respond in the way I thought she would. Suddenly I was on the cold stone of the Berlin with Mikono sitting lightly on my lap, her mouth pressed just as sweetly on my lips. And my god, was it bliss. Her scent engulfing me, making me yearn for her more. I pressed my lips harder on hers, licking my tongue on her bottom lip, making her gasp and allowing me to slip my tongue into her mouth, flicking it gently against hers, awakening it. We continued until we needed air. Gasping for oxygen, I pulled her into my arms, cradling her small and petite stature.

"I love you Mikono." But as I looked down at her beautiful face, all I saw was her eyes closed, smile on her face as she entered the realm of dreams. Looking up at the sky I noticed that crossing the sky was a shooting star.

'I wish upon the shooting star that Mikono and I are together...forever.'
