A/N- I'm really sorry about the long hiatus. Something came up and then I completely forgot about this site for a while. I'll do my best to make sure that doesn't happen again, but I can't really promise anything as I can't see the future. Anyways, I'd like to thank the two that reviewed. Here's a new update and more Ben for you guys. Enjoy!
As a side note, I can't seem to get my idiotic computer to work with me, so from here on out, ' ' are thoughts. Hopefully that won't make any difference or distract you.
DISCLAIMER- I do not own Resident Evil, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, or anything related to the three.
Chapter 5
Leon
Most B.O.W.s are fast, but this was outrageous. The creature had about a minute head-start, though I still managed to catch up to it somehow. Of course, it had some kind of hyper drive or something, so before I could even lift my gun, it jumped up into the sky and was gone in the next second.
'Stupid mad scientists just had to make a crazy-fast B.O.W.' I thought angrily.
I knew it was hopeless to try to follow it, so I decided to go back to the theater to see if Claire had stuck around. However, when I got there, only a tall guy dressed like Adam leaned against the door.
"Just my luck," I sighed, shaking my head.
The other guy heard me and turned to look at me. "Who are you?"
"Leon S. Kennedy," I answered. "And you?"
"Ben Burnley, lead singer of Breaking Benjamin if you didn't already know," he smirked.
'Another singer. Yay,' I thought. Out loud, I asked, "Have you seen a redheaded woman with her hair in a ponytail?"
"Maybe."
"Did you or didn't you?"
He grinned widely. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't."
Another Ada. 'Cause I really needed one of those. At least he wasn't flirting with me, like she constantly did.
"Look, it's really important that I find her. It could save lives, y'know," I said.
Ben shrugged. "Not my problem. Besides, how could you finding her save any lives?"
I felt like facepalming myself. This idiot couldn't help me.
"Nevermind," I spat. I turned and started to walk away.
"Man, you sound like Adam," Ben laughed. "But yea, I saw your girl."
I stopped and turned back. "Where'd she go?"
"Around back, where the tour buses are. You won't be able to get to her, though. That is, if she's even still there," he replied.
"Why not?" I asked.
"You got a backstage pass? Or are you a V.I.P.?"
"No."
"Well, there's your answer."
"Could I enter if you were with me?"
"Yup. But what would I get out of it?" A twinkle came to his eyes.
"What do you want?"
He eyed me. "That's an awful nice jacket."
"Trade."
Ben laughed. "Dude, I was just playin' with ya. But because you're such a good sport, just follow me."
He walked around to the back of the ancient theater. I followed behind, surprised by how much security there was. Some of the guards had guns, and one even drew hers when she saw me. They let Ben through without a word, but stopped me.
"Pass," she said warily.
"Uh…" I stalled, wondering how well everyone would react to seeing my FBI badge.
"He's with me," Ben said.
"In that case…" the guard moved out of my way.
As I walked past her, she grabbed my shoulder to stop me. "Wait. Do you have any weapons on you?"
I figured that I'd be caught pretty quickly if I tried to lie to them, so I answered, "Yes."
"You can't take them into this area," she stated.
I pulled out my knife, in its sheath, and my 9mm, which I called Silver Ghost, still in its holster. The guards took them both.
"We have to pat you down now, sir," she said.
When they realized I wasn't carrying any other weapons, they allowed me into the restricted area.
"If I'd known you had a gun on you, I wouldn't have talked to you," Ben said.
"I wouldn't have shot you," I told him.
"Still…." He shrugged.
We walked up to a bus that had Three Days Grace written along the side.
"She went in here, along with all four of the Gracies," Ben said.
"Thanks," I responded.
"No problem," he replied. "Oh, and tell Adam that Ben says hi. Adam's the one with black hair that needs to be cut. Like yours."
He laughed as he strode over to another black bus. That one was marked Breaking Benjamin and had a design consisting of four white capital B's in a square-like shape.
I wondered how many more times I was going to meet Three Days Grace tonight as I put my hand on the door. Suddenly, I heard a howl and glass shattering from inside the bus.
A/N- Another cliff, eh? I may post another chapter within the next day or two, though, again, I can't make any promises. As always, please leave a review to tell me what I did right/wrong or what you liked/hated. It'll help me grow as an author!
