At the Akatsuki hideout, the remaining four Akatsuki members were slightly stumped. Four of them had gone to the Sand nation then zetsu returned saying three of the four had been killed by Chii while the fourth had been killed by Samuru. Now they sat and wondered what would happen next.

"Guess Muru became a spy for the nations," Tobi muttered, not really energetic at the moment.

"Silence," Itachi spoke coldly.

"Someone is approaching the entrance," Zetsu spoke as he walked into the room.

"Who?" Konan asked but then it started to get colder. "What the…?"

"Abare," Itachi growled.

"She really came after us? I thought she had no memories left," Konan snapped.

"Oh how I tried to forget," cold voice growled before she entered the room, Hidan's scythe propped on her shoulder casually and covered in a small layer of blue ice. "I hate you all."

"You're outnumbered here. 12 to one…"

"Considering the two lackies you had watching the entrance are already dead and the six paths are not here, it's only the four of you. If I die, I won't be going alone," She grinned, sitting on the couch. "So how am I going to do this…? Konan, sweetie, your biggest fear is fire considering your paper abilities. Tobi, we all know you are not as dumb as these guys, but you are no Madara Uchiha, Obito. Zetsu, I could easily drowned the two of you… and Weasel… My dear Itachi, payback is going to be a bitch."

"Why turn on those who took you in and cared for you for two years? Why now, why not just stay lost in those woods Zetsu found you in?" Konan growled.

"Oh sweetheart, feeling betrayed? Maybe it will make you think of what side you are actually on. A bunch of picked on kids joining together thinking they could take on the world, pathetic. I regret what it has come to Konan, but I can't pretend anymore. I have a chance at a normal life, no more acting like a criminal because I was written off as KIA. Forgive me, my sister," Chii got to her feet and gripped the scythe tightly. "I wish we could have been friends under different circumstances."

"As I predicted, you did come," the voice of the six paths laughed together and Chii turned and grinned.

"As did mine," Chii chuckled. "Did you really think I would come alone?" Honestly, I may be brash but I'm not stupid."

"Chii!" Eight shinobi dashed into the room from the sand and leaf nations, including Samuru.

"Have fun," Chii giggled before dashing off after the retreating six paths as Konan disappeared in a burst of paper.

"Chii…!" Samuru yelled but then growled. "Stubborn little bitch…"

"Indeed she is, but she brought us shinobi to kill so guess she wasn't a total loss," Black Zetsu smirked.

"You know what to do everyone," Samuru spoke quietly as he summoned ice blades. The three remaining Akatsuki grinned before Zetsu blew a hole in the wall and the three escaped out into the woods. Hinata and Kiba disappeared after the fleeing form of Zetsu, while the sand siblings ran after Tobi. Itachi just remained outside the broken wall of the hideout and waited as Samuru, Shino, and Kurenai came out, ready for the fight. "Watch his every move carefully."

"Do you really think we can do this successfully?" Kurenai whispered. "Your sister is most likely taking on the seven remaining while we all tag team a couple members…"

"The outcome is uncertain for her battle," Shino murmured in agreement.

"I know that, but we can't just all run after her to save her stubborn ass. We all know what battle she would choose to fight. Pein and the six paths have caused her the most pain. Our priority are these three," Samuru sighed.

"Your hesitation will be your end," Itachi commented with a smirk before disappearing in a murder of crows. "Your focus is distracted and your weaknesses are evident. Samuru, what would you do if you really saw them both dead, the two women that hold your heart? Shino, what of your family and friends? Kurenai, to see your child die before your eyes?"

"Shut up, your words and abilities will do nothing in your favor!" Samuru snapped before shooting ice kunai at all the crows. "Your Genjutsu is useless against us! Each team is teamed up according to each remaining member."

"Even young Chikia? Hm, we all know she is a weakling. She will die by the hand of the six paths, she will not escape this time. Leader has been preparing for this fight from the moment we felt her power surge within the sand. He has found her weakness and the way to bring an end to her. She is unstable and must be finished."

"She has gained more power than anyone could account for. She will not die," Samuru growled, lunging at Itachi as he reappeared several yards away.

"We shall see."

"Temari, look out!" Kankuro yelled as the orange masked Akatsuki threw a kunai at her turned back.

She rolled out of the way and spun around in the same motion, sending a wind attack towards the enemy before getting to her feet. "Thanks."

"Pay more attention so you do not get hurt," Gaara growled as he sent some sand at Tobi, catching him off guard and it knocked him backwards into a tree.

"Nobody hurts Tobi," the masked man growled before disappearing and appearing past Kankuro's puppets and attacked with a kunai that Kankuro could barely block. "You all shall pay for taking my Chi-Chi away!"

"She was never yours to claim," Gaara growled quietly, making Kankuro and Temari frown before they all attacked their enemy at the same time.

"Hinata, are you okay?" Kiba muttered as he caught her before she fell.

"Yeah," she whispered, breathing hard. "I have bad feeling about Chii going off to take on those orange haired Akatsuki."

"We can't think about that right now, you know that," Kiba sighed, "but yeah, I know what you mean. Those six are the strongest of the Akatsuki and have a kekkei genkai that has an advantage over hers. We can only hope and focus on our own battle. The sooner we finish Venus-fly trap over there, the sooner we can help the others then go after her."

"I know," Hinata huffed as she drew another kunai.

"Samuru put only two of us on this guy while the others have three. He must be the weakest, so let's finish this as quickly as possible," Kiba smiled as he got into a crouch and lunged at Zetsu with Akamaru going into their fang double spin.

"Hai."
