"I'm Not the one" by 3OH!3

"He's too young." Antauri thought as he stared at the baby faced teen he had grown to love.

His black hair was mess, matted on his head and pillow. His sparkling eyes were closed. His bright face was covered by a breathing mask. His fragile body covered by a thick blanket.

Chiro was hurt badly. He got hurt fighting a fight that wasn't even his. The poor boy was caught up in something he couldn't hope to handle.

"Why a child!?" Antauri couldn't help but think.

Why did the chosen one have to be a child? Why did it have to be Chiro? Why did he have to be thrown into this life?

It wasn't fair!

From the moment Chiro found the super robot, his life was thrown out for the greater good.

Chiro deserved a normal life. He deserved to have friends and go to school. He deserved to be safe.

Different colored fluids moved quickly through tubes attached to bags, machines, and Chiro. Each serving an essential purpose to keep the boy alive.

Who knew how long he'd be here recovering.

He could have done something amazing. He could have been happy. He could be healthy.

Instead he was with the monkey team. He was taking hits for them. He was fighting their foes. He was holding their world on his young shoulders.

This poor boy could die like this.

Was it a good idea to continue to keep the full prophecy from him, or did he deserve to know?

Someday this boy would have to face Skeleton King alone. There was no telling how long he had. The final battle could be years away, or just days from them.

Antauri wished he could take the burden from him. He wish he could take Chiro's destiny and bare it in his place.

The power primate had chosen this sweet boy to take on the full force of Skeleton King. Why!? He was a child! He was too young for this fight!

"Why him!?" Antauri asked no one.

The raven haired teen struggled in his sleep against his own nightmare. This boy, this child, was going to heal then run back into battle and get injured again. The cycle will continue for the rest of his life and there's no way out of it. He'll fight until the day he dies, because he's the chosen one.

"He's too young." Antauri cried.
