Oh, wow. I haven't written for this story in a long time. Honestly, I just lost feeling for this story. The thing that made me come back to write for you is what I found on twitter. I searched Paramorefan1698 and I found all of my stories mentioned in Twilight News Twilight_24h. Of course this was mentioned over two years ago but it still made me happy. So here I am; writing again for the Twilight fanfiction.

Bella P.O.V.

The journey to Edward's residence was tiring, but that did not stop my eight sister from bouncing in her seat throughout the day and night. We have ridden nonstop with the exception to eat an occasional meal and rest. To be perfectly honest I have not been able to sleep. The frightening event that only happened a few night ago still plagues my thoughts. Every time my eyes lids close I see the flickering images of my cheerful family. My mother, papa, Alice, and myself all hugging as we sit still for a photo. I remember the day like it was just the day before.

Flashback:

November 1911

"Isabella, my dear, could you help me put together the lemonade?" Bella's mother calls from our quaint kitchen. Today was her father's birthday and they have decided to have a day just for the family. It was surprising that Renée suggested this idea since "family time" was not something that she was particularly fond of. Bella's mother was making an apple pie which was her father's favorite thing to eat, Alice was making decorations with the small amount of supplies that we had, and Bella was making her father's gift. Her, Alice, and Renée had decided to make her father a suit jacket with fabric that only the high-class get to wear. Nineteen-year-old Bella had to do many jobs around the city to get enough money for even a sliver of the luxurious fabric.

"Of course, momma, I'll run to the cellar for the sugar," I called back while setting down my sewing needle. As I walked to the cellar I caught Alice talking to herself; which was not unusual.

"I can't wait to meet Jasper," Alice exclaimed, smiling at nothing. Bella just assumed that Alice had created an imaginary friend again.

"Alice, sweetheart, do you need anything from the cellar?" I asked. She lifted her head and gazed at Bella with a sweet smile upon her face.

"No thank you, but I'm almost done with papa's decorations!" Alice squealed with happiness. Bella smiled at her fondly. Her little sister is her best friend, and they hardly ever fight. Their parents call them the perfect children which makes Bella blush in modesty and Alice beam with pride. To others in the town Bella and Alice were far from the perfect children. They thought this because Bella loved to read anything that she could get her hands on, even medical books, and her sister Alice always seemed to know things which made the town suspicious of her. Bella hated when their parents said that they were the perfect because like the other folks in town she thought that she was far from it.

"They look marvelous, Alice," Bella exclaimed. Alice really did make the best of the small box of crayons and paper that they had. She had written 'Happy Birthday, Papa' in block lettering and drew colorful lilies all around it. There were also blue, cut out balloons in which Alice had taped ribbon to. "Would you like my help hanging them up in the foyer?"

Alice beamed at me and skipped towards me saying, "Would you, please? Thank you, sister!" The small, animated girl dragged her elder sister down the hallway and into the polished, oak foyer. The two young girls then pulled out chairs and hung the decorations on the walls and ceiling. Suddenly, Renée walked in to see her daughters giggling while hanging the last of the decorations on the wall facing the door to the kitchen.

"Isabella Marie Swan, where is the lemonade that I instructed you to make?" Their mother snapped with both hands on her hips. A rosy blush once again graced itself upon Bella's cheeks when she was reminded of the job that was supposed to be preformed earlier.

"Oh, mother, I am so very sorry. It completely slipped my mind. I will quickly make the lemonade now," Bella stammered while hastily escaping to the cellar to fetch the sugar.

Soon the lemonade was made and all the Swan women waited anxiously for Chief Swan's arrival. Finally, when he did arrived the Swan residence filled with joyful laughter and loving hugs, and Chief Swan's last gift of the night was a photograph of himself with his family surrounding him.

End Flashback

Bella smiled down affectionately at her sleeping little sister who was laying across her lap. It always seemed that Alice knew what to say to her easily frazzled big sister. Even with the harsh circumstances, Alice seemed to have a calming effect on her timid big sister.

"Bella, you should get some rest. It is now twilight and we still have at least a day more of travel," Edward softly murmured while startling the dazed young women out of her thoughts.

"Oh, I would, but I am finding it hard to sleep," Bella admitted sheepishly. Edward looked at her with a concerned frown upon his face.

"Is it your parents?" Edward asked. Warm brown eyes met fierce green ones. It seemed to Bella that Edward was trying to read her mind or at least get a hint to what she might be feeling.

Bella nodded, "Yes. I can't help but think of the sound of a ship splitting in two and of the worry of where my parents were." Tears started to form within Bella's eyes as she thought of the lie that she had to tell Alice to get her safely off the Titanic. She could only imagine the horror that Charlie and Renée must have felt.

Suddenly, Bella felt a hand brush a single tear away from her cheek. "Sweet Isabella, do not cry over something you had no control over. Why don't I hum a piano piece for you. It might help chase those horrific pictures away." With that, Edward started to hum a piece that Bella has never heard before. It felt as if music noted were gently caressing her as they soothed her to a deep, peaceful slumber.
