Two chapters in one day I hope this makes up for the long wait. I had hoped to do the first episode in one chapter but it got to long. I hope I don't have to do this for every episode but we'll just have to see now don't we. Oh and I don't know whither the X-5 from makes memory was a boy or a girl but I just made her a girl for shock factor, make you guys think it was Ruby.

Chapter 2: The Magnificent Seven/A Lesson in X-5s
Dean screamed in rage and pushed himself away from her. "How did you find us?" The transgenic smiled, "you didn't make it easy 492, you kept moving, staying one step ahead of us. But you made one fatal mistake soldier. You attracted a great deal of attention, made quite a record for yourself, Lydecker's disappointed. He figured a soldier smart enough to keep moving would be smart enough to keep his head down. Seems you should have gotten more training in before you took on the big world huh?"
Dean's lips curled into a sneer and he didn't deign to give that a response. The X-5 pushed herself off the wall and landed on the floor so hard she cracked the pavement. "You're pretty good soldier, I wasn't expecting you to know what you're doing. I figured you'd forget everything Manticore taught us and turn fat and lazy. But that's not going to help you in the end."
Dean laughed, "Yeah and why's that." She smiled sardonically, "'cause you only have the training you had when we were kids. I've trained more, I've done more, and I know things you wish you knew. You don't stand a chance 492." Dean rolled his eyes "oh will you quite bragging already and just fucking fight me!" She rushed at him arms raised to claw his eyes out. Dean grabbed her by the arms and flung her onto the ground. He punched her repeatedly in the chest, stomach, and face; hating himself every time he heard her bones crunch.
Once upon a time this was his friend. Once upon a time this was his sparing partner. Once upon a time this was a member of his family. He hated the fact that he had to hurt her now, but he couldn't let her take him back to Manticore, he couldn't. If they took him back there than who would take care of Sam? Has if she could read his thoughts she laughed and said, "Nice guys you've been running with. I wonder if Lydecker will let me kill them when you're…busy learning your lesson."
Dean screeched in rage and slammed her hard with each punch. He put all his rage, despair, frustration and desperation into his attacks. "Is that the best you can do 492?" The transgenic taunted through a mouthful of blood. "My!" Punch. "Name!" Thwack. "IS!" Slam. "DEAN!" He pulled up to give the X-5 another sound beating when she kicked up with both feet, slamming them into Dean's face and causing him to fly against the wall. By the time Dean had pulled himself up the X-5 was already running, disappearing into the night. "Hey where are you going?" Dean shouted in rage and bloodlust. "Come back here and fight me! Come back here you coward!"
Just than he heard voices calling and turned to see Sam and Bobby running up to him, "whoa," Sam said, skidding to a stop in front of him. "What the Hell happened to you man." Bobby grimaced, "you alright son?" He asked, "You look like you got into a fight with Godzilla and lost." Dean touched his face, winced and said. "I'm fine, I went around asking about our friend and got into a tussle with a very pissed off drunk." Dean laughed, "Who ever knew those drunkards could put up a fight huh?" The two of them where looking at him like they didn't believe him so he quickly changed the subject. "So what did you guys find out? 'Cause I've got nothing."
"Save the busted lip you mean" Bobby said cynically. Then he sighed and answered, "We went asking around and found a bar he regularly goes to, it's not far from here." Dean grinned, causing blood to slide down his busted lip. "Great, than what are we standing around here for, let's go!"
Sam, Dean, and Bobby were sitting in the Impala scooping out the bar when they spot Tamara and Isaac sneaking into the bar. "Those ijiots!" Bobby complained, "They don't even know how many demons are in there! The whole joint could be crawling with the damn things. They've always been too zealous." Sam turned to look questioningly at Bobby and asked, "Should we go stop them?" Bobby shook his head, "No that won't be any good. Let's just watch and see what happens. And if they need help we'll come in there to save their sorry asses." So they watched until they saw them get surrounded by demons than Dean floored the motor. They crashed through the door just as Isaac goes down from being compelled to drink some drain cleaner. They fight the demons, save Tamara, throw Walter into the trunk, and drive away like bats out of Hell.
Back at Tamara's house Bobby walked up to Sam and Dean saying, "Ok I think I know what we're dealing with now." Sam said, "that's great Bobby what is it?" Bobby showed him an old, leather bond book. "Back during the medieval ages Binsfeld classified the Seven Deadly Sins as actual demons. I think that's what we're dealing with." Dean raised his eyebrow, grimacing when pain followed the action. "You're telling me we're hunting the Deadly Sins?" Bobby nodded, "mm hmm, I figure the one we got tied up is Envy. That couple we saw, they got plagued by Sloth, made them too lazy to get up and eat." Tamara shook her head in rage and snapped, "I don't care if they're the Three Stooges or the Four Tops! They killed Isaac so I'm going to kill those assholes!" She paused, looking up at Dean long enough to ask, "What the Hell happened to your face?" Dean shifted his weight uncomfortably and muttered, "Nothing."
Bobby sighed, shook his head, and said "well let's go interrogate Envy over there and see what we can drag out of him." When Envy saw them he laughed quietly, "Oh is this the part where you try to exorcise me?" He paused, "or is it information you want?" Bobby growled, "Alright you damned demon why'd you kill that girl? What's the motive?" Envy laughed "no motive just celebrating." "Celebrating what?" Dean asked feeling annoyed.
"Thanks to you guys we're free." Envy explained, "For the first time in a long time we're all free, and we're celebrating." He continued, "You see some people throw a party, others go to the bar but me…I like watching peoples insides become their outsides. See to me you're all animals, disgusting animals. You claim to be oh so pure but which one of you can throw the first stone." He turns to Dean, "what about you Dean? You're practically the poster boy for lust and gluttony." Dean made a touché motion until he says. "I suppose it is easier for you. Better to drown yourself in vain pleasures than to think about your awful, Godforsaken past or the family you left behind to rot." Envy cocked an eyebrow and asked, "I wonder how Sammy here would respond if he learned the truth about you. Have you even tried looking for him?"
Dean smashed his teeth together and ignored Sam's questioning stare. "Than again out of sight out of mind with you humans; I wonder if you saw him again would you be glad? Or would you consider him a nuisance?" Before Dean could reply he turned to Tamara and said, "And you, you're so full of wrath you're practically foaming at the mouth. It's better to focus on the rage isn't it? Otherwise you think too much about what happened to your…" Tamara surged forward hand raised, but Bobby stopped her from striking him. "Let me do the exorcism." She says, they agree. When she finished Dean looked up and asked, "What happened to Walter?" "He didn't make it." Tamara replied coldly.
The house shook in aggressive protest and the lights flickered. "Oh no," Bobby grumbled, checking the windows just in time to watch an army of black smoke rush at the house. "We need to get the salt lines up." So they rushed around to put the salt on the doors and windows. "Let me fight them off." Dean suggested, "I'll hold them off while you guys make a break for it." He needed something to keep his mind off of what Envy said to him and Ben's face floating in his mind's eye. Besides he was going to die anyway. "No Dean that's suicide" Sam said bluntly, "besides we need to fight this together." Bobby nodded, "your brother's right son." Dean groaned, "Fine!"
Later when they had all the precautionary measures in place they stood in front of the front door waiting to see what the demons would do next. Then there was a bounding at the door followed by agonizing groaning. "Tamara! Tamara help!" It's Isaac, or at least what used to be Isaac. "Please Tamara let me in I'm hurt!" Tamara groaned in horror and anguish reaching for the door. "Wait Tamara stop, it's a trick," Sam said catching her hand. "You're husband's dead it's just some demon possessing his body."
Tamara whimpered and shook her head in denial. She tucked weakly at Sam's grip, her mind knowing that he was right but her heart insisting she go to him. "Aren't you going to help me Tamara?" Non-Isaac asked, "Or are you going to just leave me here to rot? Just like you left our child to die…Tam-a-rra!" she cringed and asked, "How does he know that? How can that thing know that?" The demon possessing Isaac continued his taunt, "you just stood there and watched as that thing killed our baby Tamara. You let them butcher our child, Tamara, how could you have done such a thing!"
Despite their warnings Tamara's finally able to shake off Sam's hand and crashed through the door. "You're not my husband!" Tamara shrieked, stabbing him brutally with a Palo Santo stake, "Tamara no!" They shouted too late as her actions broke the salt line, leaving the house defenseless and allowing the demons to rush at them with abandon. Tamara looked up in horror, realizing her mistake too late, and watched the demonic horde rush at them. The boys reached up grabbed her, and pulled her back into the building. "Come on" Bobby said, shaking her, "no use crying over a broken salt line. We need to get these suckers before they get us."
So with that they got to work. They all separated to cover more ground. Dean rounded a corner to find a beautiful, seductive woman leaning against the wall. "Well hello there handsome." Lust purrs, "I've heard a lot about you." Dean nodded, "uh huh I'm sure you have." Lust licked her lips invitingly, "in fact I was hoping I'd run into you. I figure you and I could have a little fun." Dean laughs bitterly, "Yeah I'm sure you did. But you see I don't bang demons…sorry to disappoint." He backed up, making a play at being nervous and when Lust followed him eagerly he lead her to a tub and pushed her in. Dean pinned her down in the water and quick exorcised the bitch.
Bobby spent the night exorcising the demons-only two of the humans survive. In the morning Tamara left with only the departing words of "I never want to see you guys again." Oh well it was a farewell they had gotten used to. Sam already told them about his encounter with the mysterious woman with the demon-killing knife. And they were discussing her over the pyre they'd built for the dead. "I've never heard of a knife that can kill a demon." Bobby said, "And as far as I know neither has any hunter. At least not the ones I've run into. But I'll keep my eyes out for it, along with any omens. You guys better do the same." After they agreed on it Bobby headed off. Dean turned to Sam and said, "I'll say it again. Who was that masked chick?" Sam shook his head and replied, "I don't know but I have a scarier question." Dean looked at him expectantly, "if we let out the Seven Deadly Sins what else do you think we let out of the Gate." Dean looked at the pile of bodies and said, "That is a scary question," before lighting the match and dropping it onto the pile.
Just when Dean was about get into the driver's side of the Impala Sam said, "Let's head over to Louisiana." Dean mentally groaned, knowing what was coming, but played ignorant. "Why do you want to go up there?" Sam shrugged, "there's this hoodoo priestess I'd like to visit. Maybe she can help you with your deal." Dean shook his head, "no, no hoodoo priestesses, no faith healers, no nothing Sammy. I mean it." "Why not?" Dean took a deep breath through his nose and explained. "It's part of the deal. If I try to find a way to swindle on the deal you die. And you're not dying, period, end of story." Sam snapped, "You know what Dean I'm done placating you." Dean shrugged, "while that didn't last long." "You know you're being selfish!" Sam continued undaunted. "You were torn up when Dad sold his soul for you. And now you're putting me through the same thing. How do you think that makes me feel? Knowing that you're going to Hell for me, that's selfish Dean."
Dean admits, "You're right I am being selfish. But after everything I've done for this family I think I'm entitled to be selfish. In fact I feel great, better than I have in a long time. Because truth be told Sam I'm tired, I'm tired of all of it, and I dunno, it's like there's a light at the end of the tunnel or something." Sam rolled his eyes, "that's Hellfire Dean!" Dean shrugged, "who said it wasn't. Anyway I just want to enjoy this last year, kill some monsters, have fun, and raise a little Hell."
Dean grinned, getting into the car and started the engine. Sam groaned in frustration and got into the car. But before Dean could put the car in drive Sam said, "hey Dean can I ask you one more question." Dean replied, "About the deal, no, but about anything else, sure." "What was Envy talking about Dean? What are you keeping from me? And who are you looking for?" Dean's hands tightened on the steering wheel.
…
The thirteen, (including Dean), of them made their way down the hall stealth fully, hardly daring to make a sound. Ben reached back behind him and squeezed Dean's hand. Don't leave me. Dean squeezed back. I won't.
…
When the helicopter passed the two straightened out of their crouch and turned to face each other. Ben sighed and whispered, "We look too similar, we'll stand out in a crowd, easy pickings. We'll have a much better chance if we split up. I don't want to Dean, you know I don't Dean. But if we're going to do this we might as well do it right. I love you Dean and I hope we get to see each other again someday, though it's probably safer that we don't." With that Ben was gone. He didn't even give Dean time to respond. He just ran as fast as he could and then he was nowhere in sight.
…
Dean loosened his grip on the stirring wheel when it started to crack. He did not want to explain to Sam why he was able to break the wheel in half; besides there was no need to take his emotions out on his baby. He took a deep breath through his nose and said, "Except that." Ignoring Sam's look of exasperation he put the car into drive and pulled up onto the highway.
