AN: Oh my gosh, tomorrow is the last episode of season three of Sherlock! How am I gonna be able to wait two years for the next one? Also, enjoy my chapter.

Dr. Rosen and Gary were waiting outside of Central Warehouse 11. They were both sitting in the grass, Dr. Rosen trying to contact Bill through his earpiece and Gary researching Stanton Parish and his affiliates.

"Damn thing," Dr. Rosen muttered. His earpiece wasn't working. All he could hear was feedback, with occasional metal sounds. What was making the metal noises he didn't know, but he knew from experience that it probably wasn't good. Shoving the earpiece into a pocket, Dr. Rosen turned to Gary.

"So, Gary...how's your mother doing?" He asked tentatively. Gary's mom had been in a car accident a month before, and she wasn't recovering well. She had had two strokes, and was unconscious most of the time.

"She's fine," Gary replied, occupied with what he was doing.

"Oh, is she? That's good. Has she been speaking at all?" Dr. Rosen inquired.

"No," Gary said shortly. "The only thing she's said was that I could have her pudding cup, and that was right before her second stroke." Gary had stopped waving his hands around and was lying on his back on the grass.

"Oh, that's too bad. Have there been any positive signs, or...?" Dr. Rosen trailed off.

"They think she's going to die. They didn't actually tell me that, but I could tell by how they acted around me. They wouldn't give me any straight answers, Doctor Rosen! All they said was, 'It's too soon to say anything conclusive,' which I know is a lie, because my mom has been in the hospital for two months now." Gary was getting agitated. He fidgeted with his striped shirt.

Dr. Rosen nodded, pondering all this. "How are you feeling about all of this? I know it's a big change and you aren't a fan of change."

"I'm okay, Dr. Rosen. Can we talk about something else now, please? This conversation is making me unhappy." Gary complained. "What's going on inside the warehouse? Why can't you get a hold of Bill? He's my partner, and partners have to have each other's backs."

Noting how Gary wasn't fond of talk about his mother, Dr. Rosen answered Gary's questions. "I'm not sure why I can't reach Bill. It's probably the cement walls, but I can't shake the feeling that it's something else... I don't know what's happening in the warehouse. They only have..." Dr. Rosen checked his watch. "An hour and a half left in there."

Kat checked her phone. "We've got an hour and a half to finish business in here," she announced.

The trio had been in the air vent for quite some time, and there was no sign that they were nearing an exit.

"We should probably go-" CLANG. Clara was interrupted by a big metal crash.

"What was that?!" Kat shrieked. She clung to Clara's arm.

"Oh...probably nothing to worry about!" The Doctor said cheerily, but Clara could see that he was lying.

"What do you think that was?" Clara muttered, out of earshot of Kat.

"Not sure. But we may not be the only ones in here," the Doctor whispered. Clara's eyes widened.

"Bu-" The Doctor clamped a hand over Clara's mouth before she could finish..

"No more talking! Shh!" He hissed. Kat turned around.

"What are you whispering about back there?" She said, annoyed. It was an odd sight to see the Doctor hunched over next to Clara with a hand over her mouth.

"Mmmffmmpp," Clara tried to talk. She ripped the Doctor's hand off of her mouth.

"Nothing!" She said.

Kat raised her eyebrows, suspicious, but said nothing. CLANG.

"Doctor, what IS that?" Clara said, not bothering to keep her voice down. She was getting freaked out.

"Not sure. Stop talking. Shh!" The Doctor put his hand over Clara's mouth again. Clara licked his hand, and the Doctor made a small shrieky noise and wiped his hand on his tweed jacket. He glared at Clara. "What was that for? Never mind, don't answer that, just be silent for a moment." Kat opened her mouth to speak. "Both of you!" The Doctor added.

The Doctor stood still for a moment. Kat shifted her weight and caused the floor to creak. The Doctor looked at her sternly and Kat shrugged apologetically. Faintly, they could hear footsteps approaching. They kept growing louder and louder.

"Doctor..." Clara whispered.

"Hush!" The Doctor whispered harshly.

"But Doctor! Something's coming towards us!" Clara hissed, ignoring the Doctor's comment. Kat nodded very hard in agreement.

"Shh! I know! I'm trying to determine if it's human by how its footsteps sound!" The Doctor put a finger to Clara and Kat's lips.

"You can do vat?" Kat squeaked, her voice muffled by the finger.

The Doctor rolled his eyes. "Well, I COULD if you humans would be quiet for one moment!" Clara and Kat grew silent and watched the Doctor think, as the footsteps got louder. They almost sounded...metallic, like whoever it was was wearing metal shoes.

The Doctor removed his fingers from Clara and Kat's mouths. "I've determined that the footsteps belong to..." The Doctor started. Whoever their stalker was, he/she was almost there. The Doctor whirled around. "Cyberman!" He cried, brandishing his sonic screwdriver. The effect was ruined by the fact that the Doctor hit his head on a pipe he had ducked under before.

"Oooh..." The Doctor moaned, putting a hand on his head. He had dropped the sonic screwdriver in the process.

"Doctor!" Clara cried, rushing to him. She picked up the sonic and handed it to him, but he handed it back.

"I'm...a bit disoriented...at the moment..." The Doctor said, slowly. "You'll have...to use this...and help me along. We can't...oof. Go back...the way we came. You have to find...a way out,"

Clara and Kat hurriedly hoisted the Doctor up by putting their arms under his. They had to get away from the oncoming Cyberman! Almost running, Clara and Kat advanced through the ventilation shaft.

AN: Oh no! The Doctor is out of commission for the moment! What's going to happen next?!
