AN: Hola! Here's the chapter!

Dr. Rosen was limping through a crowd of people in Grand Central Station. "I took you here when you were eight years old, Dani, your mother and I. We all took a tour of the station. Right here..." Dr. Rosen walked up a short flight of stairs. He leaned heavily in the railing. "I wanted to show you...the constellations in the sky, but they're backwards. Heh. The tour guide said it was a mistake, but the painter, Paul Helleu, said that he painted them that way because he wanted people to see the stars from the other side of the sky. Heh. This must be how the Doctor feels when he looks out of the window of his TARDIS." Dr. Rosen looked up at the huge starry sky on the ceiling of Grand Central Station. A small spot of light shined through the ceiling.

Dani walked over and grasped Rosen's hand. "God's eye view. He's not at the Empire State Building. He's here." She and Dr. Rosen looked at each other.

Dr. Rosen looked away through the throngs of people and saw Parish getting his shoes shined. He was looking up, admiring the ceiling. He suddenly saw Rosen and got up from the seat. Parish and Rosen began to walk towards each other slowly, like two boxers circling each other in the ring. Parish pulled out a pocket watch as a man made an announcement over the PA system. "The 7:15 express from Stanford now arriving at track three. All passengers can be met in the main concourse." Parish grinned and walked away. Dr. Rosen looked away for a second, but when he looked back, Parish was gone.

Dr. Rosen pushed through the crowd, trying to find Parish again.

"FEMA has completed power down in all Parish-affected cities. Local authorities are standing by for power down in New York," Clay announced through a walkie-talkie in Clara's hand. She, Skylar, Kat, Clara, and the Doctor were standing on the roof with the machine Skylar had made out of Hicks' laptop. The bright city lights lit up the night sky enough to see by.

"So, you sure this is gonna work?" Kat asked.

"I'm never sure," replied Skylar, who was fiddling with something inside the machine. "Best case, yeah."

Kat scratched her neck worriedly. "Okay. Worst case?"

Skylar let out a short breath. "Worst case, this thing sets off an explosive chain reaction that kills everybody we're trying to save."

Clara glanced at the Doctor. He gave her a reassuring smile. No explosions had happened in New York as far as he knew that would have been caused by this.

"Okay, yeah, that's worst," said Kat. She turned and walked towards Rachel.

"Okay, just do it!" Rachel snapped. The nerves were making her antsy. Clara walked over to her and rubbed her back soothingly.

"Everything will be fine, Rachel. You'll see!" Clara murmured. The Doctor bit his lip to keep from smiling at Clara's warmth.

"Now arriving on track 101 on the lower level," announced a man over the PA system in Grand Central Station. Dr. Rosen hurried down a ramp in search of Stanton Parish.

Skylar flipped a couple switches and some blue lights came on. Everyone lined up along the rooftop as the watched the bright New York skyline fade to blackness in front of their eyes. The Doctor put his hand on Clara's waist and pulled her to his side.

People shouted in alarm as the lights in Grand Central Station went out. Dr. Rosen looked up, startled. Stanton Parish took the distraction as an opportunity to disappear through the crowd.

"Everyone take it easy!" Called a security guard. He was shining a flashlight around, making sure no one was hurt.

Skylar and Rachel both had one arm folded across their bodies and the other over their mouths. Rachel let out a deep sigh of relief. Kat was laughing breathily, and said, "You did it,"

Rachel nodded. "We did it,"

"Mostly I did it," interjected Skylar. Clara exhaled loudly and caused everyone to turn and look at her and the Doctor, who were still adhered to each other's sides. The Doctor smiled and raised one hand, but suddenly stopped. The smile dropped from his face.

"The lights..." He said.

Everyone turned back to look at the city. Sure enough, the electricity was booting back up. "Midtown, the power's coming back on, it's spreading north!" Cried Rachel.

"Where else?" Kat asked.

"It's just New York, as far as I can see,"

Skylar bent down to check on her machine. She turned her head to face Rachel. "It's working. It should be killing every transformer on the grid!"

"Then where's the power coming from?!" Rachel demanded. Almost all of the skyscrapers had lit back up.

The lights kicked back on with a whir. "See, nothing to worry about," called another security guard. Dr. Rosen had hidden beside a phone booth during the black out. He crept out of his spot, only to hear a familiar voice call out, "Oh, oh, Doctor Rosen! Doctor Rosen! Doctor Rosen!" Gary was pushing through the crowd.

"Gary. Oh, no, Gary," mumbled Dr. Rosen with dread. "Gary, what are you DOING here?"

"I- oh, you're bleeding!" Gary exclaimed, pointing at Rosen's stomach. "That's why I'm here Doctor Rosen. Is that why you took the medicine?"

Dr. Rosen put a hand on Gary's shoulder and glanced around warily. "Gary, you have to leave right now. It's very dangerous for you to be here."

Gary cocked his head. "Yeah, I know it's dangerous. You're bleeding."

"P-please, don't worry about me. You have to go, right- right now, Gary." Dr. Rosen turned Gary around and gave him a push. "No, please. Go. I can't allow you to be here. Parish is here."

Gary had walked a few steps away, and was holding his arm lightly. "No, Doc-no, I'm not going anywhere, Doctor Rosen. I get to make my own choices." He walked back to Rosen.

"Yes, Gary, I realize that, I realize that, but-"

"No, you don't realize that, Doctor Rosen! Okay? You're bleeding, and you're alone, and you-"

"Gary, I'm fine." Rosen said harshly.

"You're not fine! You help everyone on the team, like you've helped me, and like my mom helps me, so now it's fair, Doctor Rosen, that I help you." Gary stated firmly. "I'm not gonna go anywhere, okay? It's my turn. It's my turn."

Dr. Rosen gave in to Gary's pleadings. "Okay, Gary,"

"Yep." Gary led Rosen through the bustling crowd.

Clay, and everyone who had been on the rooftop walked back into HQ. "It's a backup generator somewhere, and it's big. Putting out enough power to light up half the city."

"Those should be shut down too," said Skylar, walking briskly to keep up. "Anything with a solid state trip switch, unless it's really old."

"Okay, well, whatever it is, we got forty-five minutes to take it down," added Rachel.

"I do have a time machine..." The Doctor mumbled, knowing they wouldn't be able to use it anyways. No going back along personal timelines.

"Rachel!" Nina called, beckoning with one finger. Rachel came to meet her. Clara came too, she was didn't understand the mechanical talk going on, but the Doctor did.

"Well, we'll get everyone we got looking for that power source," assured Clay.

Rachel and Nina stepped into Rachel's office, as Nina's was still trashed. Nina was holding her phone, and looking wry upset. "That was Gary. He's in Grand Central Station. He found Rosen. He thinks Parish is there too."

"Maybe that's why the Doc stole those drugs. He's going after Parish," said Hicks, who had joined them. He grabbed his coat and went out the door. Nina bounced on her heels then followed him, leaving Rachel and Clara. Rachel tried to call Gary again.

"Come one, Gary, pick up," she prayed.

Hicks marched to the elevator, and hit the button. Nina came rushing down the hall, slowing when she reached him. She kept kneading her fingers together. She sighed. "Cameron..." Hicks turned to face her. "Be safe, okay?" He nodded curtly. Nina grabbed one of his shoulders and pressed a kiss on his lips. The elevator dinged, and Hicks pulled away to get into the elevator. His face remained blank.

AN: Aw. That was almost sweet.
