Hey guys. Again, sorry for this short chapter. I cut them off as I call them. Well, I hope you enjoy this chapter, and expect a new one soon. I'll be updating a LOT over the winter break after exams. However, then I'll want to start another project. Whoo! Here's my new chapter. Enjoy.
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Dave didn't know why he went through with this stupid plan. Does anyone really know why they do anything? Well, that was some deep mental shit, and he didn't need to be thinking about that kind of stuff. Instead, he needed to be focused on getting to his next class, where Sollux wasn't.
"Dave, thtop right now or I thwear to God!"
"What're you going to do, Sollux?" Dave asked as he slowed from his run to a fast walk. "Hiss at me to death? THTHTHTHTHTHTHTH!"
"Thtop that. Making fun of my lithp ithn't cool, Dave."
"Neither is your stupid boyfriend but you still date him, so I should be able to make fun of your stupid fucking lisp."
"You're an athth."
"So are you."
"Dave, thtop. What happened back there?"
Dave stopped and turned to face him. "He kissed me, Sollux."
"He thaid that you kiththed him."
"He's lying! Sollux, I'm your best friend, I wouldn't lie to you."
"But you were just making fun of my lithp, you jerk!"
"Sollux, if you haven't noticed, we all do. It's nothing new. That's not the point. The point is that Eridan kissed me, and if you choose to believe him over me, well, some lousy friend you are then, huh?"
"If he kiththed you, why did it look like you were pinning him to the wall, Dave?"
Dave sighed heavily, slumping his shoulders. "He was leaning against the wall, and he called me over. So when I went around the corner, he kissed me. I was trying to get away, not get him closer."
Sollux sighed, thinking a moment. Dave was his best friend since he got to their stupid little school, but Eridan was his boyfriend. After all that emotional trouble he put Kanaya through, he wasn't just going to ruin it because of one stupid kiss. Instead, Sollux only turned around and said, "I need to go think. I'll thee you next period."
"Bye, Sol."
"Bye, Dave."
Dave watched as Sollux went around the corner of the hallway, and soon he heard a soft hiss of a chuckle as she said, "Nice work, Strider."
"Thanks, Vriska."
