L's POV
"An engagement ring?" Watari questioned with both excitement and genuine confusion.
"Yes" I responded "I am going to marry Julie."
"Are you positive?" Watari asked, his gaze flicking back and forth between the road and the raven haired detective.
I am 100% positive" I declared strongly. "I Love her more than anything." Watari smiled his warm genuine smile. I had had never showed so much as an interest in perusing a friendship with my peers, and here I was wanting to marry someone.
"We will stop momentarily" Watari informed me with a grin. "I hope you know what she wants" he chuckled.
I was going to marry her, take that Beyond. No matter what happened in the past or what you've done to her, she is mine.
My head was pounding, I noticed was blood rushing to my head from being upside down, and the strong smell of gasoline and melting plastic. I turned my head to look to my right, through the shooting pain in my neck down to my right arm to see Beyond hanging unconscious.
"Oh god, Don't be dead. Please, please don't be dead.
"Beyond?" I cried, "Beyond?!" I cried louder and more hysterically, he cant be dead, i cared for this man, no matter how psychotic he seemed on the surface, "Beyond answer me you son of a bitch" I screamed sharply softly shaking him, hoping he would answer. I looked around breifly considering my options. I unbuckled my seatbelt and through the pain wiggled my way out of the car. I crawled through broken glass out of the car. My vision was blurry and my heartbeat was muffled in my ears like my head was enveloped in cotton. My sight came into focus and I ran to the driver's side I knelt down next to the car and reached inside to unbuckle his seat belt. "Beyond, listen to me" I whimpered in a shaky voice. "I'm gonna get you out of here and you're gonna be okay, okay?"
I maneuvered Beyond out of the car and drug him away from the burning car. I put my head to his chest, searching for a pulse.
His heartbeat was faint and irregular, but there.
I sighed with relief and searched Beyond for a phone. I couldn't find one.
"Fuck" I muttered through clenched teeth. "I need to find help."
stood up and took the brief trek up the hill to the road's side. There was no one, and it was starting to darken outside.
"PleasePleasePlease Let someone drive down this road" I muttered to myself, tapping my foot and tightly clenching my hands together as if to pray to a God I was unsure existed at this point.

That one" I told Watari pointing at the one of the rings sitting in the display case.
"Are you sure sir? This is our most expensive ring" the clerk informed me.
"I'm positive the recipient of this ring is very important to me, price is no issue" the small woman behind the counter gasped a bit.
"That's so sweet" She cooed taking out a small black mat embroidered with the company name. She unlocked the case and extracted the ring for me to inspect, holding it in with a little blue cloth and held the ring over the black mat. It really was beautiful and Julie would love it.
"I'll take it" I told the small woman.
"She's going to love it" she squeaked loudly "I know I would, she's a lucky girl."
"I'm the lucky one" I mumbled walking towards the register. She input the price tied the blue box with a white ribbon and placed the box in a bag. "Congratulations!" She exclaimed after handing me the bag. After making my purchase I returned to the car.
"How'd it go?" Watari asked me.
"Well, I suppose, the salesperson seemed to have been overly excited" I explained to the older man. "I suppose we should get to the hotel before dark, I'd prefer not to be out at that time"
"I understand" Watari replied. "There's a lot of work to do."
I made my way back down the hill to check on Beyond. His breathing was noticeable and his heartbeat was less faint.
"Hopefully he'll wake up soon" I sighed sitting down next to him, moving the bloodied hair from my forehead. I looked over at the pale man, thinking of everything he had done to me in these last few weeks. I knew it was irrational to believe all of these things were out of love, but I felt as though he truly loved me.
"I'm gonna head back up the hill, I see headlights" I whispered to Beyond's sleeping form. I painfully hoisted myself up and walked quickly back to the roadside, waiting for the car to see me. I waved my good arm in an attempt to get the attention of the oncoming car.
"Hey!" I screamed in vain "Help there's been an accident, please help us!"
The car slowed and stopped in front of me.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed to the driver.
"The backseat door opened to reveal a thin, hunched over, raven-haired figure.
"Hello there Juliana" he spoke in a cool monotonous voice.
"H-Hi Lawli"
