This is kind of a short chapter but I hope you enjoy it anyways! I'm planning on finishing up entire story soon. Let me know what you think!

Percy's POV

I stood in front of the mirror awkwardly. I hated mirrors. Don't ask why, I just did. I knew this wasn't formal or anything but I don't know... I guess I was still nervous. I walked out of the bathroom, still feeling those little butterfly's dance around in my stomach. I had asked Annabeth to the Fall Formal at Goode 2 weeks ago, and she had said yes, but only if she could wear jeans. I smiled remembering that afternoon. Annabeth liked dressing up about as much as she liked spiders. My feet hit the stairs loudly as I ran down them.

The past two weeks since then had been pretty peaceful. Any sort of greek "mythological" monster was laying low, since the gods had just won the war against Kronos. Nothing dared to poke its head out and get its monster hide whipped by a god. But I guessed it wouldn't stay like that for much longer. School had been going pretty smoothly too. I still couldn't believe Annabeth was at Goode. It was like someone had flipped a switch and school went from unbearable to okay. Even the talk about Annabeth's little "entrance" had died down, but people still avoided her for the most part. Nothing unusual.

I grabbed my coat and checked my pocket to make sure I had the dance tickets. The tickets, unlike riptide, did not appear back in my pocket if I lost them so I had to keep and extra special eye on them. I pulled my coat on and opened the door.

"Bye, mom!" I yelled over my shoulder and closed the door behind me. I took a cab to Annabeth's apartment. I even arrived 2 minutes early, which I think was a first in all of Percy history. I walked into the lobby and told the guy behind the counter I was here for Annabeth Chase. He picked up a phone.

"Yes, Miss Chase, someones here to see you…. Yes ma'am." The man put down the phone. He had a thick accent, Italian maybe? "She'll be right down, sir." He told me. I thanked him and walked over to the little waiting/sitting area but I didn't sit down. I twirled riptide around my fingers nervously, in pen form, of course. The little butterflies were still flying around in the stomach and I mentally ordered them to stop on punishment of death.

I heard a noise like someone banging on the walls. I turned around to see Annabeth running down the stairs 3 steps at a time. She was wearing jeans and a teeshirt, her tangles of blonde hair flying around her face as she jumped down the last 4 steps and landed on the floor. She had a smile on her face and I grinned impulsively. She walked over to me.

"Ten point landing, Miss Chase." I said as she stopped in front of me. She looked gorgeous. The butterflies were suddenly gone. "Although I don't think any of your neighbors appreciated it."

"True art is almost always misunderstood." She said end enveloped me in a hug.

I held her hand as we walked to the cab that I had wait outside for us. I opened the door for her, which, as my mother had drilled into my head, was the gentlemanly thing to do.

"Are you ready to crash a dance?" Annabeth asked as I scooted into the back seat of the cab behind her.

"You bet." I pulled the car door closed behind me.

The end! Hope you liked it! :)
