I do not own Skip Beat!
Setsu looked over at Cain and smiled. Her grin said more than any words ever could as she challenged her brother. Cain had been the one to teach her how to fight well. Ren had decided as with everything else with Kyoko she was an amazingly fast learner and the more Ren taught her, the more he enjoyed teaching her. Without realising it Kyoko had excelled at basic lessons and was moving steadily on to the more advanced techniques.
Cain and his two internal watchers scowled at all the men in the studio who were watching his little sister warm up. She was stretching and flexing her body in ways which should be illegal. How could one body send shivers down his own without even touching him? Kuon wanted to commit murder as he watched one very brave stagehand approach his Setsu.
What the hell is he doing! Kuon cried out inside as Cain stood stock still refusing to do more than glare at the man. Ren too felt the burning hatred as the stagehand started asking Setsu questions.
"So do you understand?" the stagehand asked as he tried to look nowhere but Setsu's eyes. He could feel Cain's death glare on him while he did as the director had asked.
"Yeah sure, sure don't worry about dialogue just go through the fight scene smooth and slow." Setsu sighed as she repeated the message word for word and the stagehand nodded.
He was just about to turn away as Setsu spoke again unexpectedly. "Oh and tell the director I know all of the lines anyway." Her hand nodded jerkily as his eyes wandered down that amazing body bent backwards in a bridge stretch.
Gulping the sudden lump in his throat he turned and approached the second actor on set. BJ was out in full force as the hand approached and repeated the same message to Cain who barely nodded and the hand was gone in a flash.
"Scaring people again BJ?" Setsu asked in English as she approached her starting point on the set.
Seeing that the director had called back the pathetic actress who was unable to match up to her beloved Nii-san. It was as the strong impenetrable arms wrapped around her from behind that Setsu couldn't help the sexy grin that spread across her face as BJ breathed out in her ear making sure to blow on the lobe at just the right angle.
"Isn't that my job, dear Shizumi?" BJ was bent over so his head was near hers.
Setsu couldn't help but arch her back as her head rubbed against BJ's lips and shoulder. The sudden passion that sparked between them was almost explosive as some of the people around blushed at the erotic sigh Setsu made.
"How I love playing with you Nii-san." Setsu said as her eyes darkened beautifully from molten silver to the deepest cloudy grey. Cain couldn't help but see how the thundercloud like eyes made his heart quake... there was a storm coming and its name was Setsu.
Kanae glanced at the people surrounding the set. If she hadn't known any better she would have said this entire thing was planned. Why on earth would there be so many people here for a one scene shoot if this had not already been planned? Surely not all these people were needed for one fake combat scene? Well she was right. Half of the people present were not even part of Tragic Marker, but stagehands, make-up and costume designers plus all other types of people who had been around the studio at the time. Someone had shared the news of the famous Heel siblings fighting so even the cleaners were standing by in the wings to watch.
Chiori watched as Kanae folded her eyes over her chest and sighed in an annoyed way. She too looked around the room at all the people surrounding them. "Well we certainly won't be able to see if anyone is behaving strangely in this crowd." Chiori said simply voicing Kanae's feelings.
"Nope," Kanae said in the same annoyed tone though she couldn't help but smile a little as she watched the scene between Cain and Setsu on set.
"But it is easy to see why people would see their playfulness as more isn't it?" Chiori just nodded as she too smiled.
It was just as the director stepped forwards and asked for silence. The set was instantly silent as if a soundproof setting had been switched on in the entire room.
"AND ACTION!" the director called as the scene began.
Shizumi smiled as she placed her mobile phone back into her gym bag. It had been a good night at the dojo and even sensei had said how she was improving and her throws were getting much better. She stood stretching her back and cracking her neck and shoulders as she stretched them out above her rolling her head as she did so.
It was just as she had her hands held up high when she felt it. The same feeling she had been getting for the last few weeks, that someone was watching her. As she slowly lowered her arms she felt the eyes upon her again.
"Hello Shizumi..." The voice was cold like ice, dead and brittle making Shizumi shiver as she spun to face the intruder.
Her eyes widened as she took in the tall, ragged form before her.
"Who are you?!" she asked as she took a step away from the imposing figure with the dead eyes.
"Oh Shizumi... wouldn't you like to know... maybe I will tell you... before you die." The pure fear and terror radiated in Shizumi's eyes as she slowly watched the long knife come into view from behind the man's back
Her eyes searched for an escape route. "Stay back!?" Shizumi cried as she jumped into her stance she had been trained in for so long.
The laugh was like the cackling of crows as they fed on carrion. "Oh Shizumi... oh how I could've loved you once."
He had been slowly advancing the entire time he had been speaking. Just as he got close enough Shizumi sprang into action. As the blade sliced past her left hand side Shizumi kicked out with her right leg in a high sweep before counteracting her own movement then dropping and coming back in a low sweep.
After avoiding her fist blow BJ simply sprang into the air and backwards in a free standing somersault. As his feet hit the floor once more the knife was transferred almost impossibly quickly as he struck out once. His left hand caught Shizumi off guard as she leapt back. But still the blade grazed her as she yelped in pain. Dropping and rolling away from her attacker she jumped straight to her feet once more.
BJ's smile was filled with killing pleasure as he once more flipped the knife between his two hands.
"Oh how I love it when the prey fights back. It means I get to watch the spirit and fight leave its eyes."
The next few blows were like lighting as Shizumi fought for her very life. She held up well against the larger stronger man. But her stamina was waning whilst the man before her seemed to just grow in strength and power the longer they fought.
Shizumi knew she couldn't do this forever. If only she could get to the door she could shout for help.
Faking to the right Shizumi dropped and rolled once more towards the door. But she was too slow. Just as her back was on the ground and she was about to jump up and run he was on her.
One. Two. Three. The knife came down repeatedly as BJ stabbed the beautiful woman to death. In her dying moments Shizumi's eyes fluttered.
"W...wh...who?" BJ smiled coldly as he leant down right next to her her and whispered. No one heard his words, but the shock in Shizumi's eyes as they widened in death was all they needed to know that she understood.
"CUT. CUT. That was amazing! Heel-san, Setsuka-san. Simply amazing." The surrounding people clapped and cheered as the two people on set helped each other stand and brushed each other off.
Kanae appeared and offered each of them a bottle of water and a smile. "Good work." she said as Setsu smiled at her.
"Good fun too," she said as she snuggled into Cain's side and his arm snaked around her.
His eyes lightened as he looked down at his sister.
"You're getting good Setsu. One day you might even beat me," Cain said with a small sparkle in his eye which made Setsu stand up straight from him with her own challenging look.
"Who said I couldn't already Nii-san?" Setsu's voice was low, husky and teasing as Kanae couldn't help it she laughed.
"Come on you two before you start spreading more rumours."
And to both Cain's and Kanae's amazement Setsu left her brother's side and clamped onto Kanae's arm. "Oh come on Kanae! I think we could take him! Throw Chiori-san into the mix we could be unbeatable."
The use of Kanae's first name shocked her. But the way in which Setsu was including her made Kanae feel almost welcome in the little circle which Setsu termed as important. "Oh I'm sure we could Setsuka-san," she said with a chuckle as Ren hid his smile beneath Cain's impassive face.
He knew Kyoko needed Kanae. She needed her badly and if that meant adding her two best friends into their company he would happily do so. Kyoko needed the release somehow if she was not going to allow herself to be herself around him.
"Setsu," Setsu said simply as Kanae and herself stopped before Chiori.
"Sorry?" Kanae asked confused by the girl's words.
"You can both call me Setsu. Saying Setsuka-san all the time is a mouthful." She was again on Cain's arm as she spoke these words almost nonchalantly.
But still the small smile on her face reached both of them. Setsu told her brother it was time they went and saw what the two bit actress was going to be doing now to mess up. Kanae and Chiori couldn't help but smile at each other slightly. They had both come to respect the Heel siblings in such a short time. To think that they were getting friends status was something that made them both secretly happy.
"Well somehow we've done it." Chiori said softly as Kanae nodded and smiled the same small smile as they followed the Heels towards the director.
"I can't do it!" Setsu heard the actress cry as they approached Konoe and the others standing around him.
The woman was crying profusely as she repeated over and over that she could not do the scene with BJ.
"Is she serious?" Setsu asked Cain in English rather loudly as they entered the group.
"We are only here today for this scene and now she is refusing. What type of actress are you?" she stated now in Japanese with her hands on her hips.
"It doesn't matter if you hate the person you are working with, nor if you are scared or angry. A true professional does the job." Setsu was again in her goddess of vengeance mode which seemed to make her grow in stature as she looked down upon the weeping woman.
"Well you do it then!" the woman shouted back at Setsu's words.
Inside the actress knew Setsu was right, but still she knew she could not face Cain on that set. She could not face down those cold dead eyes as they haunted her very soul with their gaze. The people surrounding the director all stared in shock at the woman's words as Setsu scoffed in disgust before turning away.
"Some actress you are. Fine!" And before anyone could stop her Setsu was once again walking off towards the dressing rooms.
"Errr where is she going, Heel-san?" Konoe asked once more shocked as Kyoko blew away all his expectations of an actress.
"To get ready," was Cain's simple reply as he returned to set.
"Is she really going to take Tomoe's place?" one of the lighting crew asked the director as Konoe simply looked at the still sobbing woman on the floor.
People use stunt doubles all of the time. If we shoot it from the correct angles maybe. Yes maybe it could work.
"If Setsuka-san is able to do the scene and we can make her look as much like Tomoe-san as possible I honestly do not see any other way." he answered as he too walked off from the woman to talk to the camera crews about shot angles.
OH MY GOD! I almost lost it! Kyoko screamed in her head as she leant against the dressing room door. Why on Earth had she done that to Moko-san! How could she have broken her character so much! It had already been said that their character profiles were now fluid. They could ad-lib and flow and change themselves to fit the need.
And oh how Kyoko needed Kanae. She needed her best friend, needed her words and her advice and her hugs. But wasn't she already pushing Setsu so far with last nights events? But no last night it was the only thing she could even consider... It was the only thing that kept Kyoko from running. Running and hiding away behind locks and doors no one could ever break through again.
Taking a deep breath Kyoko remembered Kanae's words, words if she had been Kyoko she would have baulked at and denied fiercely. If one good thing was coming of hiding who she truly was it was finding out what her friends truly thought of her. Inside Kyoko was almost crying in gratitude for how much her friends cared. For how much they loved her and thought of her. Even Kyoko's modesty could not attest to the true feelings she saw behind both Kanae's and Chiori's eyes. And even this morning when Ren had said his now daily words "Kyoko you're beautiful." she had almost believed him.
"Honestly, I thought all people were the same. Vapid two-headed snakes that would bite you sooner than look at you. If they could not harm you that way they would use money or even power to make themselves great. I told you before in the lift about my friend, didn't I? Kyoko. It was her who taught me differently. Who pushed me so hard to see that not everyone was the same. Not everyone was like the people who backed me into a corner and gave me no way to escape." To think that Kanae thought of her in such a way she really did always want to be there for her. She was her first ever friend after all.
"It was amazing and yet so terrifying at the same time. All of a sudden without my consent there was another person in my corner. But she wasn't willing to back down like I was. She was in that corner to support me, push me to be the best I could be, but also to fight for me. The people who were out to hurt me took notice but it also forced me to stand up for what I wanted and what I dreamed of. She taught me to push and to fight for my dreams even if they felt and looked so far away. That as long as I didn't stand in that corner alone then I could do anything I set my mind to." Couldn't Kanae see she felt the same way? This wasn't a one way thing. Without Kanae she was just like she was now: pathetic, afraid and she hated to say it but also lonely.
"You know lots of times, she doesn't even use words. With Kyoko, it's her action and body language that speak louder. When she is happy to be with you, she gives you these big hugs which seem not only to make the day a little brighter, it also gives you this feeling of warmth and care that could never be passed on with words." Would Kanae ever understand that this was Kyoko's way of giving back just half of what the older woman gave her? Did she know how she felt unable to pay Kanae back for all she did for her. That it was the only way she even thought she could begin repaying her best friend.
"After watching the show today, I wonder if perhaps this is the same thing you get with Cain? The feeling of unconditional love and safety only someone who cares deeply about you can give?" If only she could have told Kanae just how deeply she felt for Cain. No the man beneath Cain. Ren or no... Kyoko squeezed her eyes shut as she tried desperately not to think of who was behind the person who was her Ren-senpai. Trying not to feel the pain his lying to her had created. Oh she didn't blame him, she could never blame him, but still the pain was raw and painful and how it hurt her heart.
"You know I wonder sometimes if Kyoko saves up those hugs and warm feelings inside for days like today? I feel so drained and yet I feel like I've done nothing! Like no matter how hard I push I will never be able to do what I know I must do."
"I really wish I knew how, Moko-san." Kyoko whispered to herself as she fought the tears which were blurring her vision. I really wish I knew how to store them up and then I would teach you too.
"Please don't hate me Moko-san," Kyoko said dropping her head as fought back the tears which were too close as her memory kept replaying still.
"I wish I could stock up on those feelings. Yet all I seem to feel away from Cain is the slow and painful coldness and longing. I have no idea why either. Cain is my most important man. He's the person that no matter in what guise he has always looked out for me, cared for me. Whether as my childhood friend, my teacher or even my brother he's always been this constant. Always been there yet I could never get enough of him. I doubt I could ever think about losing him now. He can make me happier simply by being in the same room. A touch just sends my feelings bounding and in his arms I know I'm safe." God she really was an idiot! She had told the President she would hide these feelings forever and never let them show! Yet here she was telling her best friend she was in love.
She had even said it!
"Whether as my childhood friend, my teacher or even my brother he's always been this constant." She had let Kyoko slip through too much. She knew it as she had let out her feelings to the girl she had always found listened. Even when she said she wasn't interested the girl had been there for her now since they had become friends.
Then she had hugged her! Since when did Setsu hug anyone but her brother and parents!
'Since she offered us more than scorn and hate.' the inner person who was Setsu said quietly.
'Since she offered and gave us friendship in more ways than one.' Kyoko knew all of this of course. It had been her reasoning but still!
Kyoko squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to stop the tears which were falling slowly as she thought about asking Kanae if she used hugs to recharge.
"I suppose. But lately I think she is starting to realise there could be someone better for the job than me." Kyoko would never have admitted it.
"Kyoko is an amazing person. But there is one person I think is very special to her. Maybe to the point that he even overtakes me in her heart even if she is not ready to see it or stop denying herself yet. I honestly think this guy truly loves her. I've been watching him, them, for so long even if she doesn't know it. I had to make sure he wasn't another one who was going to hurt her, going to make her feel insignificant." Why Kanae! Why did you care so much? Why could you know my heart when I couldn't? But love? How could he love me? He lied to me. He had lied about everything.
"Yet I don't think he ever has and in some ways I think Kyoko doesn't recharge us so much as we do her. This guy is always this perfect man with no faults to all of the world, except when Kyoko's involved." If only you knew Kanae! What would you say then? if you knew how much my heart was hurting? Yet you're right I don't believe he would ever hurt me on purpose or without good reason... Is this reason good enough though?
It's like he goes from this perfect lie, to being a real life human and all it takes is Kyoko. He can be himself around me. He can be Koun.
I always thought I needed her the most. That she was there to save me from not only the world but myself. But then there are those single moments when I can see this scared little child where I should see a man and all it takes is a single smile, a single glance and he can continue. He had said it himself. He had told her when she was was with him and she fought back the darkness. She freed him from his fear. But why? Why her? Why could she give Ren, Kuon, what others could not?
Even when Kyoko is too dense to realise just how deeply he cares for her, needs her even, he is simply happy to know that she is still there. I think he's happy as long as he can help her even in the smallest of ways. Kyoko couldn't take it anymore as her legs gave way beneath her. It wasn't true?! It could never be true. Could it?
Like letting her drag me out for ice cream or talking about roles and other little normally insignificant things. Just the fact she is still there, still with us... it's enough. Kyoko cried silently as she hugged her legs to her. Could she even dare hope Kuon loved her? Could she ever hope that her childhood Fairy Prince could ever feel that same way about her as she did about him? Did she even feel that way about him anymore after his hidden truths?
Kyoko pulled her legs harder into her chest as she fought against the tears.
Of course she still loved him. Whether he was Cain, Ren, Katsuki, Kuon or even Corn. There was no denying the truth.
Kyoko loved them all. She loved him so very much it hurt.
"Setsuka-san?" Riona called out as she knocked on the door. The make-up artists and the dressing room staff had both been standing outside her door for the last ten minutes arguing over who would be going in first. Riona had to sigh as she took over the reins and knocked.
"It's open." Setsu's voice called back.
Riona pushed open the door and looked at the woman sitting before the mirror. All Setsu's make-up had been replaced expertly. When the artist looked her over she could find nothing more to do. The wardrobe tech passed her the new costume and Setsu said she would get ready.
Riona had been asked by Konoe to see what was taking so long and now she knew. It wasn't Setsu's fault but the people who seemed to be afraid of upsetting the girl's feelings after their story had been released.
"Luckily my mom is a makeup artist." Setsu said nonchalantly as she sent a glare at the two women who should have assisted her. Though inside Kyoko was happy they had not entered when she had been cleaning herself up.
"I bet you have learnt a lot from her," Riona said as she perched on the sofa arm as the makeup artists scurried away. The wardrobe tech was styling a wig quietly by the mirror Setsu had used.
"Yeah, she really is amazing with makeup, though she doesn't really need any herself to look beautiful."
Riona nodded. She had to admit Sayuri Heel was stunning. "I suppose you get your beauty from her then." Riona spoke before thinking. As she watched Setsu's still Riona mentally kicked herself.
"I'm not really sure. I cannot remember my birth mother. Which I suppose is a good thing. But the pictures I have seen of her when she was younger I suppose she was beautiful in her own way."
Riona was amazed that Setsu could answer her so calmly. She had reacted so badly to them talking about her real mother on the show but here she just seemed to stop think and then speak.
"But my mother will always be Sayuri no matter who gave birth to me. Sayuri is mom and always will be." Riona heard the catch in Setsu's voice this time as she sucked in her courage.
"I'm sorry for mentioning it Setsuka-san. I know this is probably a very hard topic for you." she looked up as Setsu came around the screen and looked at the older woman before her.
"It's ok. It is very hard but it is also part of who I am and who I will always be. So hiding from it or running away from it will not help me or the other people involved."
Riona looked at the young woman who had slowly come out of her shell since the pepper spray incident around her and even more so since her parents arrived. "I think you're a very brave woman Setsuka-san."
Setsuka considered her through the mirror she was sitting at as the dressing room tech placed the wig on Setsu's hair she had readied in the hairnet.
"I'm a woman Riona-san. I think it comes second nature." Setsu said with a wry grin as the tech also laughed at her innuendo.
"Ahhh but you forget our drama queen outside!" Riona said flashing her own grin as Setsu shifted the wig to fit comfortably and snorted out a laugh.
"Oh God how could I forget her?" The soft laughter could be heard by Kanae as she approached the dressing room to see if Setsuka was ready. It cheered her to hear Setsuka was opening up to more people. The more people on their side the better.
Konoe could not believe it. The scene that they had been shooting all morning was whizzing before his eyes. Two of the most talented people Konoe knew he would ever see fought it out tooth and claw for Shizumi's survival and also her death.
One take! They're going to do it in one take! His head screamed as he watched Shizumi move into the last sequence where BJ would catch her.
OK. One. Two. Konoe was counting the stabs in his head knowing the crucial moment was coming. But two? Two was one stab less than needed? Looking at the actor and actress on the set his heart clenched as he looked into BJ's eyes. The eyes that always looked dead and evil. The eyes that radiated his killing intent. His eyes were empty, his face pulled in a look that broke the soul of all the people watching.
"Nii-san," Setsu called as soon as she realised something was wrong.
"Nii-san..." something was very wrong! Setsu and Kyoko watched as the man before her lost all colour and visible responses. His face showed so much pain that it physically hurt to look at him.
"NII-SAN!" Setsu shouted as she raised her hand to touch her brother's face. It was ice cold. How could he be ice cold this soon after a physical scene such as that? And as she pulled her hand across his cheek caressing it the blood from one of the many blood bags she was wearing smeared.
Blood. Oh god blood! Kyoko cried as she looked around herself at the blood seeping from wounds in her chest. It was soaking the floor around them slowly seeping out as Ren' words returned to her about that night... about Rick.
"I didn't listen. As I turned I saw one of the boys who had been bullying me for the longest time run. I only remember thinking 'You can't get away from me.' I was enjoying it. Can you believe that Kyoko? I loved every minute of hurting those people who I felt had wronged me all my life. But not only them, more like every single person that had ever wronged me. I chased him out of the alley. We had been fighting in and across the road."his voice broke off with a sob,"It was then Rick chased me. He never looked, just ran straight into the street. I heard the tyres screech and turned to see Rick's body flying through the air."
Ren's sobs racked him with sorrow and guilt. It took him a few minutes before he could continue.
"Kyoko, he died right there on that pavement in a pool of his own blood while his girlfriend was screaming the whole time. She called me a murderer and the horrible, painful truth was she was right. From then on something died inside me. Not just Rick, but even myself. No one could do anything right. No one could draw me out of that guilt. When the hospital gave out Rick's belongings to the family I was there. His girlfriend picked up Rick's watch and flung it at me screaming that his watch was my shackle and that I should wear it forever. So not a day would go past that I didn't remember what I had robbed from them all. So I wore that watch as my punishment. One day the President appeared like a knight in shining armour and he asked me a simple question.
"Did I want to escape and make myself a new life? If I wanted to he could help me, but I would have to leave everything behind. How could I refuse him, Kyoko-chan? I couldn't tell you even now if I was running away or simply trying to forget. But that day I left with just my passport and a little money in my pocket and came here to Japan."
The blood. The blood and the body of a or Setsu didn't think as they reacted instantly. Pulling at the belt that held her clothing together she slithered slightly from under his body and stripped off the top half of her outfit and pulled off the blood packs tossed them aside. The people who had been racing onto the set to help stopped dead in their tracks as Setsu grabbed Cain's hand and rubbed it over her chest and body, his palm flat against her skin as she called out to him.
"See Nii-san. You haven't hurt me. See I'm fine. Come back to me Nii-san. Come on Cain." Her voice wasn't loud but it carried across the watching crowd showing all the fear and sorrow she felt for the man before her.
"NII-SAN. NII-SAN!" she finally shouted out before grabbing Cain's head and yanking him towards her chest.
"CORN!" It was like a bolt of lightning. Kuon never knew if it was the sudden movement or the sound of his childhood nickname from the lips of the woman he loved that brought the little sense back he regained in that moment.
"I-I hurt you," he muttered and Kyoko just hugged his head and body closer to her as she let tears fall down her cheeks.
"No Corn. You never hurt me. You saved me," Setsu said in words full of emotion as she held him there as tightly as she dared.
She used one hand to bring Kuon's hand to her side once more. Her chest was next to his head where the fake knife was supposed to have stabbed.
"See Corn. I'm fine. See." she released his hand. But Kuon never moved it from just above her chest where the fake knife he had plunged not moments before.
"See Nii-san. You saved me. And now it's my turn to save you." No one would ever know just what had passed between the Heel siblings in that moment as Cain suddenly collapsed crying in his sister's arms as the director ordered the studio to be cleared immediately without delay.
There would be stories of course. For who could stop the spread of news when they were currently one of the most talked about subjects in Japan. The stories would differ from person to person and reporter to reporter, yet they all linked it to the Heel siblings prior lives. Their horrible childhood which some reporters even tried to get a hold of information and files on. But interpol and the drug specialists that had worked on such cases were not ones to talk. And though they found references of the Heel seniors in England and in the professional world. It seemed they lived very private and very personal lives. So not much could really be found except for what Lory and his office allowed them to find.
In that studio that day as Kuon cried out his sins of the past, he relived one of the most painful points in his life. He didn't feel alone and in the arms of the woman he loved he truly did let his past go.
"He ok?" Kanae asked as Setsu left the dressing room.
It had taken her a while to calm Cain and even though she had spoken against it, he was insistent he finish the scene. Konoe had allowed it grudgingly as Setsu and Cain had their makeup touched up and Setsu replaced her clothing. She got into position with the help of the crew who watched the recording. They did so amazingly well in everyone's opinion they completed the scene without further problems and Konoe was happy.
"He's as well as can be expected," Setsu replied softly as she looked back at the door. For the first time he had asked Setsu to leave while he changed. Kyoko understood this knowing he needed time alone and had said she would get drinks, but she was glad Kanae was outside waiting for her.
"I suppose this is what life is like for those who have seen truly horrible things," Kanae said knowing she needed to speak about it and not avoid the subject.
"When we were younger he saw his best friend die." Setsu needed to talk about it as much as Cain needed to forgive himself. So half truths were something she would be using for her own sanity.
"Something went bad. I'm not sure what but in our old life there were lots that could go badly. I don't remember it much but I know Nii-san has nightmares. One of the things he has let slip was the amount of blood."
Kanae nodded as she fell into step besides the other woman. "I suppose that someone he cared about once more being surrounded by blood and by his hand this time was a trigger?" Kanae stated simply as Setsu nodded.
"Basically Nii-san's most traumatic experience brought to life so to speak." Kanae nodded once more as she changed the subject. Kanae didn't realise till a moment later that Setsu was no longer beside her. Looking back Kanae almost ran back to the other woman the look on her face filled with terror and dread.
"Setsu! Setsu what's wrong?" Had she too awakened old memories? Had she said something wrong? But if only Kanae could have known she had said something so right only the night before.
"I was wondering if perhaps it was something from your shared past that had caused the rumours and information to spread like it did."
Cain's past. No not Cain's past but could it possibly be?
'Oh god Kuon!'
"Kanae! Do you have the laptop on you?!" Setsu shouted suddenly shocking the woman.
"Yes... but why?" Kanae asked thoroughly confused as Setsu turned and started racing back down the hallway towards the dressing room.
"We need to get to LME now!" Setsu replied not looking back as she raced to the door.
Kanae didn't know what was going on. But whatever it was Setsu seemed to have thought of something she had not.
ooooooooohhhh! what has Setsu figured out?
does she know what's going on?
what's going to happen next?
and this one is more for me :P
but have any of you ever played the A-Z story game?
looking for people to play with :D
