A/N: Sorry for the wait, I have no excuse this time except for laziness. And I am sorry if any of the characters are OOC, I'm working on it. In this chapter I am trying out writing (or typing if you want to be technical about it) in the first point of view to see if I like it. I am doing school in the story the way I it works at my own, so six class periods plus one elective, advisory, and A, B, or C Lunch. Danny is 16 because obviously all that stuff couldn't of happened in less than a year, and Kagome is 15.

Chapter 4 – Falling Down

Time skip 2 Days (Monday)

Danny 3 POV

Just yesterday, Higurashi-san had taken Danny out to buy him school uniform and supplies.

'Why is this uniform so uncomfortable?' Danny complained to himself as he walked to school with Kagome, 'Honestly, if they are going to enforce rules for them they should at least make them a bit loser. I swear this tie is cutting my circulation.' He sighed.

Danny still wasn't over the death of his family and friends; he blamed himself for their deaths. He had watched as the ghost slaughtered each one before his eyes, and he didn't do anything but stare when he could've at least made attempts to save them. Every night those memories haunt him in his dreams, they haunted him more than usual this past night.

"Danny-niisan?" he looked to Kagome, he must of had a depressed look on his face because she soon asked, "Is something bothering you?"

"It's nothing," Danny lied.

Kagome looked like she was going to say more, but soon decided against it.

(At School) Kagome 3 POV

As the two entered the school, they heard a female voice call, "Kagome!"

Kagome and her brother both turned to see a trio of girls rushing towards them.

"Hey!" Kagome called back to her friends while waving her hand in greeting.

The trio was led by Yuka, a girl with brown eyes and short, shoulder-length black hair held back by a yellow headband.

To her left, was a girl with wavy dark brown hair. She had soft brown eyes and was the idealistic romantic of the group. Her name was Ayumi.

On the right stood Eri, who had the shortest hair of the girls cut in a bob around her ears. Her hair was light brown and her eyes were of the same shade. She had been the one to shout Kagome's name.

"Who is this?" Eri questioned inclining her head to Danny, then she quickly exclaimed, "I thought you were going out with Hojo!?"

Kagome's other 2 friends, Yuka and Ayumi, swarmed Danny and started launching questions faster than a bullet train, all of which neither Danny or Kagome could comprehend.

"You guys!" Kagome exclaimed. The trio turned their attention to their steaming friend. "This is Danny, he's my-"

Kagome didn't get to finish, for she was interrupted by Ayumi shouting, "He's your boyfriend!?"

Danny 1 POV

I mentally face palmed when the girl with the yellow headband excitedly blurted, "He's your boyfriend!?" This to me sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Um...no I am not." I confirmed.

"As I was saying," Kagome coughed, "Yuka, Ayumi, Eri, I would like to introduce my brother, Danny-"

"Wait!" Headband girl screeched once again, "I thought you only had one brother, Sota?!"

"I was getting to that," Kagome said, "If you would stop interrupting please." The trio nodded, and hopefully Kagome would be able to finish her sentence. "So, this is Danny, my mom just recently adopted him. Danny, this is Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi." She introduced pointing to each girl as she said their name.

"Nice to meet you." I stated before I was bombarded with questions from the trio yet again, but this time at a bit of a slower pace. All of which included; 'Are you single?' 'Have you ever dated?' 'Have you had your first kiss?' And 'Will you date me?' And thousands more.

Kagome 1 POV

'Danny-niisan sure is popular,' I glanced at my watch, 'Shit! We're going to be late if we don't hurry.'

"Yuka, Eri, Ayumi!" I yelled, the three turned to me. "Come on, stop attacking my brother! We're going to be late if y'all keep questioning him and I for one don't want a tardy!"

The trio let out a long "Awww…" before we a proceeded walking to school.

Time Skip (After School)

Danny 1 POV

'That wasn't bad.' I thought as I waited for Kagome outside of the school. I thought I would be behind everyone else in my studies considering how many times I've been absent due to ghost attacks, though I may need to play catch up in math.

"Danny-niisan!"

I looked up to see Kagome walking towards me.

"Hey! Kagome!" I hollered, waving my hand a bit.

She stopped beside me, "Sorry I kept you waiting, I had to stop by all my teachers to pick up my absent work.

"But now my bag is so heavy!" She finished whining. Now that I look at it, I could see the rough outline of textbooks in her bag.

"Is it really that heavy?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I have every single textbook in here." She said, gesturing to her bag which she had set on the ground, probably 'cause of how heavy it was.

"Do you want to trade?" I inquired gesturing to our bags.

"Sure, that is, if it's okay with you?" She asked.

"It's fine." I said extending my bag to her.

As we were walking home I asked Kagome, "So how did you get this much absent work?"

"Ummm..." She started.

I could tell she was hiding something, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"No, it's fine. You know how mom said that I am sick often?" I nodded, "Well it's kind of made me lose weeks of school at a time, but I'll get caught up soon." She said, then added on quietly, "Hopefully."

Early Morning Tuesday (6:00 a.m.)

Kagome 1 POV

I slowly opened my door, checking to make sure the hallway was clear, then continued my route to the kitchen.

On the table last my large yellow pack, stuffed with everything I may need for my next trip in the feudal era.

"When will you be back?"

I spun around to find my mom standing there, "Maybe 2 weeks, but you never know with Inuyasha." And with a quick hug goodbye, I proceeded out the door to the Bone Eater's Well.

Danny 1 POV (6:05)

Earlier, maybe around 5:30, I woke up and after a few minutes, decided I couldn't go back to sleep. So I changed into my usual light pants and T-shirt and went for a jog before I needed to get ready for school.

So there I was, walking back up the steps to the shrine, or in other words; home. When I reached the top, I saw Kagome outside carrying a very large yellow pack. 'Where's she going?' I wondered, as I followed her.

She stopped in front of the doors to what appeared to be a well house, then she opened the door and went in, not closing it behind her. I followed her in and saw her standing next to what looked like the well part of the well house, her back facing me.

She swung her leg over the opening followed by the other. She was now sitting on the very edge of the wooden wall.

I stepped forward, now standing in the entrance of the well, "Kagome? What are you doing?" I asked.

She turned to face me, her feet still hanging loosely inside the well as she sat on the edge. Her expression blanched, "Uh… I'm- er…" She stuttered, seeming at a complete loss for words.

Kagome didn't get to say anything else, because in that moment, she lost her balance and was sent tumbling inside the well. My eyes widened as I saw her body fall inside the well at full speed.

"KAGOME!" I yelled as I reflexively ran forward and dove inside the well, trying to catch her.

I reached out and gripped her arm as firm as I could.

The ground was approaching fast, I thought of using my ghost powers, but I didn't have much time to think. Right before we collided with the earth, we were engulfed in a blinding light, much similar to the rings of my transformation. A soothing wave swept over me as we fell into the light.

A/N: There, as I promised, a longer chapter. I might not get around to posting another chapter this month or the next because my schedule is a bit busy than usual. Can I have a few reviews about which episode of the Inuyasha time line to start with? Cause I can't decide. I enjoy constructive criticism and ideas for my chapters.
