Tinka point of view

I looked into the mirror as I finished putting on my mascara. It was Saturday. Tonight was the night that Ty and I were to go on our second date. I was pretty nervous, but at the same time, excited. Tonight's date is more casual than our last. This time we're just going to have dinner at Crusty's and hopefully have a nice conversation.

I sat down on my couch and looked at the clock on the wall. It was 7:03. Ty should be here any minute now to pick me up.

Just as the thought finished it's process in my head, there was a knock on my door. That must be him! I jumped of the couch, and quickly dusted off my shirt and jeans before I answered the door.

There in the doorway, stood Ty, with that adorable smile of his.

"Hey Tinka." He said in a cheery voice.

"Hello Ty!" I said, excitedly.

"You look very pretty tonight."

"Thank you. You don't look bad yourself."

"Thanks. Are you ready to go."

"But of course."

And with that, we both exited the apartment, and made our way down the staircase, both of us praying that it will go okay.

Cece point of view

"How about like this?" I said, as I moved my arms up higher in another fighting position.

"No, if you do that, then you lose balance and you will be completely defenseless!" Logan scolded.

It was about a week ago that Logan and I had our little incident. I have no idea how it happened! I wanted to get up but for some reason I just couldn't. It was so weird. And that's not even the weirdest part. We almost kissed! And I don't mean I slipped and our lips almost touched. I mean we both started leaning in closer to one another!

Then after that, Flynn interrupted just in time to stop us. Even though it was nearly a week ago, I still can't stop thinking about it. It's like an itch inside my head that I can't scratch. I don't understand why, though.

Is it possible that I really like Logan? Like like? No, that's not it, I'm sure it isn't. We're friends, and just friends.

Then again, we have been getting really close lately. We've been hanging out all the time, not to mention the whole martial arts workshop thing.

Anyways, Logan and I have agreed that the incident was just a accident due to some clumsiness, and to just pretend that it never happened.

Now, the two of us were over at my place, practing for our next karate class.

"How the heck am I losing balance?" I exclaimed.

"Because if you were to try to hit somebody like that, then you would have to shift all your weight to your left foot." Logan explained. "And you could easily been pinned down to the mat that way!"

"Well than what exactly do you expect me to do?"

He walked over to me and gently grabbed my arm. He lowerd one of them to my side, and moved the other one more outward. I felt a weird tingle when he touched me.

"Try keeping them more like this." He explained. "That way, you can keep your balance, and still be able to attack and defend."

"Oh, okay…" I said, looking up at him. I felt my cheeks heat up.

He looked down at me. His arms were still holding onto mine, and it didn't seem like he was about to let go. I looked into his brown eyes, as they sparked in the dim light of a nearby lamp. I felt him look deep into my eyes. I started to get a weird twisting feeling in my stomach. They memory from when we nearly kissed flashed into my head…

Suddenly, Logan snapped out of the trance.

"Um, it's getting late." He said. "I should really grab some dinner and head home before my dad gets home."

"Oh okay." I said, disappointed that he was leaving. "I'll see you tomorrow morning, right?"

"Yeah, definitely!" He said as he grabbed his bag. "See you then!"

"Bye, Logan!" I exclaimed, as the door closed behind him.

I let out a loud sigh, and plopped down on the couch. Something doesn't feel right. Something is going on. And just don't understand what or why! I'll find out what though, I was sure of that. But not right now. Now I was tired and I just wanted to rest.

But before I could do anything else, Flynn popped his head out from behind the couch.

"What the heck was that?" He yelled right in my ear.

I was so surprised, I nearly fell off the couch.

"Flynn! How long have you been back there?!" I yelled.

"Logan enough to see that little moment between you and Logan!" Flynn teased.

"Flynn, shut up!" I said. "We didn't have a moment."

"Really?" He asked, tilting his head. "Then what do you call that little incident on the couch last week?"

"Shut up!" I yelled, as I threw a pillow at him, causing him to laugh and run into his room.

Ty point of view

The waiter just walked away with our check for the dinner. The whole date we talked, we laughed, and had a surprising great time. Okay, to be honest, it wasn't that surprising. This is something that I've wanted for a while now, and I finally got it.

I've been telling Tinka about my goal of being a rapper, andTinka has been telling me a lot of stories of when her and her brother were little in old country, and just finished telling the last one.

"So wait a minute," I said, trying to talk while laughing hard at the same time. "You got back at him by filling his pillow case with spoiled goat milk?"

"Yup!" She said, laughing a bit, as well. "That's what happens when you steal my favorite betwinkled sweater, and rip it."

We both laughed again.

"Thank you for taking me out on a second date, Ty. I had a really really great time being with you." Tinka said.

"Yeah, me too." I said.

"But just to make sure, nobody paid you any money for this, right?" She asked.

"Of course not." I responded.

"Okay, I just wanted to make sure." She said.

"So," I said. "Do you think that you would want to do this again sometime?"

"Well…" She began.

"Please don't keep me waiting another three years for an answer!" I exclaimed, panicking.

"Don't worry, Ty." Tinka said, with a small laugh. "I'd love to go out with you again."

A big smile grew across my face.

"That's great to hear!" I exclaimed happily.

"Well, we should probably head back now." Tinka said.

"Yeah, sure, let's go!" I exclaimed.

We both got up, and exited the resteraunt, hand in hand. I felt my heart doing cartwheels inside my chest. I was so overjoyed. The date had gone perfectly, and if that wasn't good enough, Tinka and I are already planning a third date! This was awesome!

In fact, I was so over the moon, that I wasn't even thinking about my half of the bargain with Rocky.

Logan point of view

I saw Ty and Tinka exit Crusty's, after sitting just a few tables away from me. They didn't even notice I was there, and I didn't bother to say hello. I was to deep into thought.

I couldn't stop thinking about when Cece and I nearly kissed. It just wouldn't go away. I remember how much electricity I felt at the moment. It was just so overwhelming. It was like thousands of little sparks were forming between us, and they got bigger and bigger as our heads moved closer together.

At first I thought it was just some type of weird thing that would only happen once. But just earlier tonight, I felt that feeling again. When I touched her arms, it almost felt like they were glued, and I couldn't remove them.

And when I looked into her eyes, and felt my insides melting. They were beautiful. I just couldn't deal with it!

Now I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on between Cece and I. I don't like like her, do I? I can't! Cece and I used to completely hate each other. It wasn't long ago I couldn't stand looking at her face. And now I'm getting lost in her eyes?

"Hey, uh, Logan? Are you done with your pizza?"

I snapped out of my thoughts at the sound of a familiar voice. I lifted my head up to see none other than Deuce, wearing his Crusty's uniform.

"Oh! Hey dude! Yeah, I'm done, here." I said, holding out my plate.

"Are you okay?" Deuce asked, looking at me, concerned, while taking the empty plate from my hand.

"I'm fine."

"No you're not. Come on, tell me what's bothering you."

"If I tell you, will you promise not to tell anyone."

"Yeah sure! Now what is it?"

I sighed. "Cece and I almost kissed."

Deuce's eyes grew, and his jaw dropped.

"YOU ALMOST KISSED-"

"Deuce, keep it down! Not so loud!" I said, looking around the restaurant, trying to see if anyone I knew was at the pizzeria. Luckily, there wasn't.

"How did this happen?" He asked, this time in a much more quite voice.

"I don't know, it just… happened!" I said, unable to find the words to describe it.

"Wait, so, are you guys a couple now?" Deuce asked.

"What? No! Of course not!" I yelled.

"Then why did you try to kiss her?" Deuce asked. "Do you like her?"

"That's the thing." I said. "I have no idea how I feel!"

"Well that's not something I can help you with." Deuce said. "Only you know how you feel. Whether you like her or not is up to you."

And with that he walked back into the kitchen with my dirty plate.

I looked down at the floor, and pondered over the recent events, and the words that Deuce just said to me.

Do I like Cece Jones?
