And now, without further ado, here is chapter seventeen of "I Don't Get It Anymore"! I don't own Shake It Up. Enjoy and review!

Rocky point of view

"What?!" I exclaimed through the halls of the school, as Logan looked at the floor while leaning against his locker.

"I'm sorry, Rocky, I really am." He said sincerely, looking at me with sorry eyes.

"I don't understand! You begged me to take you back and when I do, you dump me two days later? Why?" I exclaimed.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"I knew you were going to be really mad, but I had no choice." Logan explained. "You see, the thing is, it took you a really long time to convince Ty to let us go out. And while you were doing that… I kind of met someone else."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"You have feelings for someone else?" I said.

He slowly nodded.

"Rocky, I'm really sorry. I know I put you through a lot of stress, and you don't deserve that. You're a great girl. You're smart, pretty, talented, kind, funny, caring… and believe me, any guy would be lucky to have you. Someday, I don't know when, but someday, you are going to find the right guy for you. That guy, just isn't me."

I looked away from his face, and stared at the ground, thinking it all over in my head. When I was trying to get Ty's approval for us to date, was it because I liked him? Or was it because I wanted him to be happy, and I thought that he was still crazy for me?

I took a deep sigh and finally looked him in the eye.

"It's okay, Logan. I understand. If you don't feel that we're a good match, and you're not happy with our relationship, than that's fine."

He smiled at my response.

"Thanks, Rocky. I'm glad we're still friends."

We joined in for a small hug. After pulling apart, I asked:

"Sooooo, who's the girl?"

Logan's smile suddenly disappeared, and was replaced with a mixed look of fear, nervousness, and confusion.

"Ummmm, well, you don't know her! She's not from around here! She's from… uh… Canda?"

I raised my eyebrow.

"Canda, huh? What's her name?"

"Her name?!" Logan exclaimed in a even more worried voice than before. "Um, her name, yeah! You see… uh, her name is…"

The bell rang right before he could finish.

"Oh look at the time! I got to get to my next class! Bye Rocky!" He exclaimed, right before he ran off down the hall.

That was weird…

I casually grabbed my backpack and began to walk to social studies class. As I made my way through the hallway, I couldn't help but be a little shocked.

How come I wasn't that upset when he dumped me?

Cece point of view

Why does my history teacher have to be so strict? There's nothing worse than detention! It's the most boring thing ever!

Well, right next to Rocky's lectures and speeches over her homework, of course.

Like every other mischievous child in the room who got caught breaking the rules, I continued to stare at the clock, waiting for five o'clock so we can all go home and pretend to do our homework.

Finally, the teacher sitting in the front of the room at the large desk sat up.

"Alright, boys and girls. Detention is over. I hope you all learned your lesson. You may go home." He said.

Just as the words left his mouth, all the kids immediately jumped out of their seats, and ran through the door. I, on the other hand, took my time packing my bag.

By the time I made it out of the door, the the kids were all gone and the hallway was completely empty.

I stared to make my way down the hall to go home. When I made it to the middle of the hall, I heard a voice.

"Cece…"

I stopped and turned my head towards the voice. There stood Logan Hunter, leaning against the door to the supplies closet. The second our eyes met, he began to walk over to me.

"Logan, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I knew you were going to be in detention, so I decided this would be the best time for us to talk." He said.

"We already talked. There's nothing more to talk about." I exclaimed.

I began to turn around, but Logan grabbed my arm.

"Yes, there is." He said. "I've got great news. I managed to break up with Rocky this morning. We're not a couple anymore."

I turned around to face him, now very surprised. "What? Really?"

"Yeah!"

"Was she upset?"

"No, not really. She actually took it surprisingly well."

"Okay, fine. What does that have to do with anything?"

"Don't you get it? Now that Rocky and I are over, you and I can be together!"

"No, we can't."

"Why not? You like me, right? And I REALLY like you!"

"Logan, it's not that simple."

I began to turn around to leave again. But he grabbed my arm again, and turned me around to face him.

"Why can't it be?" He yelled, looking me dead in the eye. "I've been going crazy these last few days because of that kiss. I've been losing my mind, at the idea of us not being able to be together, because of the things I have done in the past that have gotten in the way. I messed up big time, and I've tried crazy to fix things. I've never done that for anyone. I've never felt this way about anyone. Rocky may not like it at first, but you know what, I don't care! I want you, Cece!"

I was in complete silence and shock. It took a while for all of his words to sink in. I don't believe it! I knew he had feelings for me but I didn't know…

"You really think that?"

He nodded.

We looked deep into each other's eyes. That familiar feeling of sparks began to form. Before I knew it, my lips were on his.

It was much different than the kiss from before. It was so passionate and very full of energy. I've never felt anything like it. Our tongues touched a few times as the kiss deepened.

Eventually the need for oxygen became to much, and we pulled apart, panting. We looked into each other's eyes again.

Eventually, I spoke up. He just didn't understand. There's one more reason why we can't date.

"Logan, I'm sorry. I really like you, and you know that, but… we just can't go out like this."

"Why not?" Logan exclaimed.

I sighed. "Logan… even before today, you were Rocky's exe boyfriend. And you still are. I can't date my best friends exe. It's against the girl code. Rocky and I have been best friends since we were little kids. I can't just betray her like this."

Then, there was a big silence. Logan didn't say a word. I didn't say a word.

Just then, after a few long seconds of quietness, we heard a loud crash. We jumped apart, and turned our heads to see the garbage can at the end of the hall has been knocked over.

Then we noticed something else…

Footsteps. Loud footsteps. As in, the sound of someone running away.

"Who's there?!" Logan yelled.

He immediately dashed down the hall and disappeared around the corner. Not long later, he appeared again, running towards me, out of breath.

"He's gone." Logan painted.

"Did you at least see who it was?" I said, very nervously.

He shook his head.

A wave of terror went through me, as my eyes widened in fear.

Someone was here. Someone was watching us. Someone saw and heard everything that just happened.

And a terrible feeling inside me said that this someone wasn't planning on keeping it a secret.
