Out in the wild
Party in nowhere land
We start a fire
Sparklers in every hand
No phones let go
Cut all the strings tonight
Singin' aloud
Howlin' right at the moon
We're making out
Life's never felt so good
Bring on the storm
We're wilin' out tonight
Then you lost your shoes as it started to rain
And your jeans soaked through
But you smiled anyway
Throw our hearts in the air
Hearts in the air
Hearts in the air
We're catching lightning in a bottle
Don't give a fuck about tomorrow
Yeah we're dancing in the backseat
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Yeah we're rolling with the thunder
Now take a breath, we're going under
We're getting busy on the backstreets
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Back of the car
Blankets and me and you
We're running on perfectly wasted youth
I'll hold you close
We'll call this home tonight
And the fake tattoo that you drew on my arm
Had an X and an O
Never change who you are
Throw our hearts in the air
Hearts in the air
Hearts in the air
We're catching lightning in a bottle
Don't give a fuck about tomorrow
Yeah we're dancing in the backseat
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Yeah we're rolling with the thunder
Now take a breath, we're going under
We're getting busy on the backstreets
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Here in the afterglow

_Lightning in a Bottle by Summer Set
Bunnymund
We were back at North's, we got tired of looking. And, no matter how much they didn't believe me, I saw the white-haired teenager. He was over Burgess delivering snow. At first I was surprised to say the least. We all thought they would have hid better or died. I hoped it was death, after what they tried to do. The moon had told us of their plans. How they defied him. I shake my head. I would have expected it out of Jack, but Tooth? He dragged her into this by making her part of the plan, it had to be.
"Are you sure you saw Jack?" North asks, looking at me with big eyes. I roll mine. North was delusional sometimes, I swear. I hated how he questioned what I saw, I knew I saw him. I couldn't mistake that hellion of a teen anywhere. His white hair and blue iced eyes haunted me, they belonged to a spirit that defied the moon and took Tooth away.
"Yes, he was over Burgess delivering snow. But I noticed something strange." I admit, they look at me intently. The bad part of this all was he was still a guardian, and so was Tooth. Those spirits still had the title of guardians. It was humiliating, every spirit making fun of you. The guardians were supposed to protect children and obey the moon, but two of our members were abusing that position.
"V'hat V'as it?" North asks. I sigh. It was hard to explain, how did I tell them I saw someone we believed dead for good? North would make fun, say I was getting too old. But, in the end, trying to help the world was above being humiliated.
"It is hard to explain, but, it was like he was hiding from people. Like everyone there could see him. He was afraid of someone or everyone seeing him. When someone would walk past him he would hide." I explain, now I was rabbling. This was hard, we had spent fourteen years over this, and this was our only lead.
"Why Burgess?" North asks. I look at him like he was stupid. Which he was. Sandy points to his head where a sand picture of a house was over top his head. I nod.
"Mate, I don't know why your so dumb, but I think Sandy is right." I tell North. "It was his home, I think. He liked it there a lot. Plus, it was where he died. Wouldn't he have some sort of connection with the place?" I ask everyone. Then, I space out. I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered something. It was when we were on the sleigh. I didn't mention something in case of the 'thing' hearing us.
"I heard something, back on the sleigh. It was like little whispers, but I couldn't make out the voices." I tell them, their eyes were full of worry. I racked my brain for information, do I know their voices? But important info over all was why didn't I investigate?
"Try to remember, Bunny." North prompts. I shrug, it was worth a shot. I squeeze my eyes shut and think of the voices, I could already tell one was female and two were men. That's when it hits me. I thwack my head. I got it, why I thought I saw Jack, the whispers sounding familiar. It all made sense...
"Bunny, stop hurting yourself over it." North demands, I roll my eyes. This guy was a Gumby, he was dumb, but I had to live with it.
"That's not why you gumbie, I figured it out. Jack Frost, that sneaky little bastard. He was on the back of the sleigh. He was right under our noses. But, two other people were with him." I start. And, for once, North was smart. I wanted to applaud him for being average-ly smart for once, but there were more important things to do at the moment.
"Pitch and Tooth." North answers. I nod. "Pitch, Tooth, and Jack." he spits all their names out. Sandy shakes his head in disgust. Years ago, he had been on their side, but he stayed with us. We didn't really trusted him, he would lead us off if we had a trail. But, we convinced him otherwise. We told him of what they had done. He finally helped us, and now with a passion.
"There all working together." I state. I thump my finger against my skull, how could they be hiding so well. I couldn't piece it together. Either Pitch brought them to the dark side, or Jack was really evil this whole time. I wouldn't doubt it, it was highly plausible. I curl my fists, and the worst part was he got away with it for so long. I wonder if Manny knew they were working together or even alive.
"Wait, if they are somewhere in Burgess, wouldn't Jamie know?" North asks. We hadn't seen Jamie in years, probably because we knew he was on their side and wouldn't want to talk to us. Jack was his best friend. Of course he wouldn't get over that. He probably still believed Jack to be good, but he wasn't. WHat if Jamie's mind was corrupted by Jack constantly putting thoughts into his head? I guess we'll find out.
"Jamie! We should go see him! The worst that could happen is him not being able to see us." I shout. We all look to each other, then dash to the sleigh much to my regret. I hated the sleigh, and North knew it. But, it would get us there quick, and that's all I needed.
On the sleigh I had a lot of time to think. The two other guardians and I were not much of friends or acquaintances. Tooth was the one who mainly kept us together, and now she was off our side. And thinking of Tooth made me think of Jack. I grit my teeth, Jack. His name itself made me want to hurl. It was amazing how one little thought or memory could open a whole new mind of others.
He tore us apart, and made something that would take over the world. I hated both of them now. I could barely even stand thinking of them. The the sleigh lands, and I wheeze. I hated this old sleigh, but North wouldn't let me take the tunnels. I look around to see an old familiar house. It was Jamie's house, where we found a believer that saved our lives.
Hey Guys! This is only part of chapter 4, I thought that after all this time you guys deserved to see part of it for still believing in me after all this time. I know it's not really exciting, but it plays an important role. Plus, this is a rough draft, so it is kinda sloppy. Well, I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Here's the rest guys!
Suddenly, the sleigh jolts forward and we all plummet to the ground. I was pretty sure I broke my arm. I look up to see the sleigh ready to fall on me, but I slide away at last minute. Staggering, I get up. A door slams open and a young man runs towards us just to stop. That's impossible, how could an adult see us? It wasn't possible. The guy just stands there. My head lifts up to see his face. He had brown eyes that just stared at me in shock and a rosy complexion that seemed to drain as he looked at hair was choppy and in his face but was brown. I felt like I knew this guy.
"What's wrong, Jamie?" a little girl asks. She looked about fifteen with curled blonde hair. That's when realization hits me. I was looking at Jamie and Sophie Bennet. How could Jamie believe after all this time? I smile as I realize I have founded our way to Jack, Jack must have visited him a lot to be able to believe all this time. Jamie shoots his sister a look and she seems to get it.
"Nothing, I thought I heard something is all." he tells her, then they start going back to their house. I manage to get up (my arm healed really fast) and sprint to them. Jamie starts to go faster as well.
"Wait!" I shout to them. I knew they could see me, there was only one way to find out. I reach out and grab Jamie. He stopped mid-step and stiffened. I smile. "So you can see me, mate." I tell him. Sophie turns around and looks at me with disgust and hate, what happened to my little ankle-biter? Jamie slowly turns around. His baby-ish face was gone from when I remember him. I remember when he looked at us with adoration and curiosity, now he looked like he wanted to kill me. He was taller also, he was up at my shoulders now.
"What do you want?" he asks. North and Sandy come over after watching the whole thing. Everyone was tense. Sophie grab something in her shirt sleeve. I couldn't see what however, it was in her pocket. She wasn't the little girl I used to know, not at all.
"Where's Jack? We know you know, how else could you believe without seeing proof throughout these years?" I ask him. He narrows his eyes, I knew he was going to lie, I could feel his hope behind it, and the hope I would believe it.
"I don't know, leave us alone." he says. He started to reach for something in his pocket, but it was smaller than what Sophie seemed to be clutching. It was small and had a small screen on it. I bet Jamie didn't even know I could see it. He pushed the button on the top and numbers flashed on it. A phone number, and I had no doubt in my mind who it was.
"What was that?" North asks. So the glum bag saw it to. Fear flashed through Jamie and Sophie's eyes, but they quickly covered it. I immediately knew what it was, but I hadn't seen one in years. Mortals usually used them back in the 90's. It was a pager, and Jamie activated it. Wait, how could Jack even get a cell phone or eve use one? Having Jamie wouldn't be enough, he was somehow hiding all these years, no spirits or moonbeams have seen them. That's it! He's been somehow hiding in the human world, but how?
"Jack's somehow hiding in the human world, isn't he?" I ask Jamie, who sneers. I look to the other's, who were silently agreeing with my words. "You know, we could somehow take you and make you tell us where they are." I wonder aloud. Jamie's and Sophie's eyes widen.
"You can't," Jamie whispers. "You can't hurt people." he tells me, looking to me. I smirk, so do the other guardians, they saw were I was going.
"We can't hurt children, the job application doesn't say anything about adults." I tell him. The visibly pale.
"You can't hurt Sophie, she's a child." he says, but I could tell he knew what I was going to say and was convincing himself other way.
"But Sophie isn't a child, now is she?" I ask him. I raise an eyebrow and Jamie moves Sophie behind himself. "She's a teenager. In fact, two hundred years ago she'd already be married. The rules don't apply to either of you." Jamie just stares at us for a while, then yells.
"Sophie, go!" he yells to his sister. She takes the thing out of her pocket to reveal a knife, and it was black. I knew the girl wasn't trying to kill me, not even Sophie could do that. Even if her mind was corrupted. She throws it on my foot and a searing pain goes through me. They start running but the guardians don't go after them, they crouch to me and help me up. The two people that could have lead us to Jack were getting away, and it was my fault for not being on high-alert. And what made it worse? The knife was covered in nightmare sand.
Well, I don't know where that came from. I hope you guys like thee chapter and more sight on the guardians and the Bennet's. Jamie's POV will be next. Love you guys!
