It was warm, and heavy. Those were the first two observations Kyoko made when she sleepily woke up. But after a year of marriage, it wasn't hard to tell what it was. With a yawn, she sleepily raised a hand up and ran her fingers through the ends of the blue hair that was right beneath her chin. Sayaka was an odd sleeper.
Despite that, even Kyoko found it odd that she had awoken before the other today. Talk about a rare occurrence. But she didn't feel like moving at all. Her limbs seemed to be in a perpetual state of comfortably sore, and she didn't bother to really stretch or anything, rather she lifted one of her forearms against head. What a night. With a grunt of slight acknowledgement to the sun filtering into the window, the redhead tilted her head to the side to look at the clock. She wanted to enjoy this momentary peace a little longer, but Sayaka had kids to get to.
Not her own, but practically so. Ever since a few years ago, when Sayaka started teaching, it seemed that her world had changed. Well, she was only a student teacher, and therefore only helped some of the time. But it had dramatically changed regardless. The moment after she got home from her first day, she was exhausted, but all smiles and happiness. At least it seemed that way to Kyoko, but to be honest, she was just glad to see that all those stressful and expensive classes the blunette had endured were worth it.
"Mm, hey," she mumbled, nudging the side of Sayaka's head slightly. "C'mon, time ta get up, sunshine." With a slight moaning sound passing through her lips, which never ceased to sound erotic no matter the context to Kyoko, Sayaka blinked awake and looked up at her. Cue sighing, followed by a dramatic lowering her head into the redhead's arm.
"... Mrnnin..." Her muffled greeting pulled a tired laugh from Kyoko.
"Morning?" Kyoko guessed.
"Whatever," Sayaka sighed, pressing herself off of the woman beneath her. For a brief moment, Kyoko felt as if she was once again an eighteen year-old, fresh in her mind, as Sayaka lifting up above her both herself and the blanket they shared, and for a second it felt like it was the first time she'd seen Sayaka's skin like that. Completely bare to her. But then she remembered that this wasn't the first time, and she wasn't eighteen, but even so, the effect was still the same. "What're you staring at? C'mon, now,"
Kyoko shook her head lightly out of her revere. "Mhm, whatever," Before Sayaka could move any further up, she quickly sat up and caught her in a quick kiss. "But yeah. At least it's a Friday, yeah?"
Cue tired smiles from both parties present. "Definitely."
After a gag in disgust after having black coffee shoved down her throat, Sayaka was finally able to leave and make it to the elevator to begin her trek to work. It was a shame that the bitter liquid was the only way she was able to remain awake throughout the morning, as she wasn't incredibly fond of it. It did the trick though. Fanning her now-scorched tongue with her hand, she tapped her foot impatiently as the elevator doors closed at what seemed to be a snail's pace, when suddenly, a flash of white caught her attention, followed by a childlike voice. "Um-! Could you maybe-?"
Blinking and just barely having processed second thought before her arm shot out to keep the doors open, Sayaka let out a sigh. She definitely wouldn't be getting anywhere on time, would she? The doors opened again, and a short figure with piles of empty boxes covering her face was revealed. The only clues that gave Sayaka any sort of idea about this person's identity was the white hair that sat on top of her head in a bun, and the pink, bunny-printed skirt that peeked out from beneath the cardboard boxes - this was definitely a little girl. She had been sure that this apartment building had no children, though, so for a moment she was confused.
"There-" the girl sounded as though she was cutting herself off. Sayaka expected her to put the boxes down once she'd successfully made it inside, but instead, she stood with them secure in her arms.
All was silent, save for the low, mechanical hums as they descended. "Err... Hey, are you going to take that to the recycling bin outside? If so, I can probably help you out..."
The other nearly jumped, and as the bell chimed to alert them that their destination had been reached, she dashed for the door. Seeing as it wasn't fully opened, though, she ran into it and was knocked back. Hilariously, as Sayaka let out a choked gasp and reached out to help her, the girl froze with her leg up in an 'almost-halfway-falling' position.
They remained in a long, awkward silence, retaining their poses until the bell chimed again, and the girl regained her train of thought, dashing out through the doors.
... Well, then.
