Quinn emerged from the bathroom merely an hour later. She took her time to relieve her tired muscle and the hot bath helped her. She was actually dozing off (again) in the tub when she smelled bacon was being fried. That caught her attention since her stomach was empty.

She dried herself and went to the walk-in-closet to find some clothes to wear. She slipped on her underwear, one of Sam's shirt and also a short then walked to the kitchen.

"Hm… smells so good," she said as she set herself on one of the stools beside the kitchen table.

"Hey. That bacon really drew your attention now, huh?"

Quinn nodded. "What are you cooking? Is it done anytime soon? I'm starving."

"Well, I make spaghetti carbonara and I'm adding bacon since I know you dig into it right now. It'll be ready really soon."

"Okay. Is there anything I could help?"

Sam paused and turned around to face her. "Lucy Fabray is helping me cooking?"

"Hm… yeah? Why?"

"You never done that before. It's usually me cooking, you eating and washing the dishes. I guess you've really change right now?"

"Isn't the change good?"

"Yeah," he said as he walked to the kitchen table and leaned in to her. "That's why I love you," he pecked her lips and turned around to cook again.

Quinn bit her lip and just sat there in silence until Sam returned with her dinner. She muttered 'thank you' and started eating without even waiting for him. Her stomach was empty; she couldn't bring herself to eat lunch earlier with Melrose needing her attention all the time.

Sam was watching 'Lucy' eating and he stifled a laugh. "You're that hungry?" The girl in front of him just nodded without even looking at him so he asked again, "When was the last time you eat? Don't tell me it was earlier in the hospital."

Quinn looked up. She could see the concern look on his face and she immediately felt guilty. "It was indeed earlier this morning…"

"Lucy…"

"I'm sorry, okay? I just… I don't know. I'm not that hungry this afternoon."

"But you do know that—"

"I know. I know what's going to happen if I skip my meals. You don't need to scold me like that. Jeez, you're not my dad!"

Then it went silence between them. Sam was shocked of 'Lucy's' outburst. Quinn was indeed shock of what she said to him. Sam was the one who broke the silence between them.

"Fine. I'm not your dad. But it's not something that only a dad would say. I said that because I care about you and people who care about you, can say the same thing to you," he said as he approached her. "So, yeah. I'm not your dad. I'm just your… fiancé or boyfriend or maybe just a stranger to you. But I love you and I care about you. The things I said to you is just my way to show you, that I really care about you."

Quinn felt worse. She brought her gaze to her lap, avoiding him. There, he said those words again. Things were getting too serious between them. She didn't mean to do that, it just happened naturally. She needed to stop all of this before things became more complicated but she knew it was almost too late.

"Baby?" he called her as he put his hands on her shoulder. "You okay?"

Quinn sighed. "I don't know… I'm sorry. I can't do this right now," she said, still not looking at him.

Sam was confused. "Can't do what? Baby, tell me…" he said as he lifted her chin up.

Even after he tried to bring her eyes to meet him, she was still avoiding it. "I don't know, kay? I just can't…" she said as she stood up and left the kitchen.

"Baby, where are you going?" he asked, following her to their bedroom.

Quinn didn't answer. She walked straight to their walk-in-closet, trying to find a bag, and started packing her things up. She didn't know what's gotten into her but she needed to leave. This was all getting too much and she couldn't handle that anymore.

"Baby, what are you doing?"

To say that Sam was surprised, it was an understatement. He was shocked. His girlfriend was in their walk-in-closet, packing her things up. He didn't know what happened, so he was confused.

He went to approach her and tried to stop her. "Hey, baby. Stop it, okay? Whatever I did wrong, I'm sorry. But can we just talk about this?"

Quinn froze when she felt Sam's hand touching her shoulder, trying to make her stop doing whatever she was doing right now. She dropped her bag and turned around to face him. "I can't…"

Quinn didn't even realize that she was crying until Sam brought his thumb to wipe it off from her cheek. Hell, she didn't even know what was happening right now.

"What's wrong? Please, tell me…"

"I don't know…"

"You remembered what I said earlier? I lo—"

"Stop saying that, please…"

"But why?"

"I don't know. I'm sorry, I have to go." Quinn tried to leave but Sam stopped her.

"No, you're not going anywhere," he said as he grabbed her wrist.

"Just let me go," she tried to free herself.

Instead letting her go, he just wrapped her into a hug and to his surprise, the girl just collapsed in his arms and cried in his chest. He could feel that her arms made its way to his waist and wrapped it there. Maybe, she just needed to hold on something and he was there.

In his arms, Quinn felt secure. She never felt like this before. After Sam told her that he loves her for the very first time and after what Mike said about him loving Quinn, not Lucy nor the fake Lucy, she has been thinking a lot about her feelings. She realized what was happening to her. She was scared of her own feelings. She knew she shouldn't let things went to far between her and Sam but it just happened. Now that Sam told her that he loved her, she realized that maybe Mike was right… Maybe she started to feel something for him.

They just stood there, holding each other for some moments until Quinn stopped crying. She was still sobbing when she pulled away.

"I'm sorry… I don't know what's gotten to me," she lied to him in between the sobs.

"It's okay," he said as he kissed the top of her head.

She titled her head up and tiptoed to kiss him on the lips, in which he returned gladly. The kiss was getting heated; Sam roamed his hands under Quinn's shirt and Quinn did the same thing.

Before Sam could lift her shirt up, she broke the kiss. "Do you mean it?"

Sam stopped his movement and quirked his eyebrows. "Do I mean what?"

"That you love me?"

Sam nodded. "I mean it. I love you, beautiful."

"Show it to me. Make me feel loved. Please…"

"As you wish…"

He kissed her again and brought the two of them to their bed.

Call Quinn weird but she could tell that someone was staring at her when she was sleeping and that woke her up. It happened right now. She could tell that Sam was already awake and currently staring at her.

Quinn pulled her body closer to his bare chest and mumbled, "Stop staring. You're waking me up…"

Sam chuckled and ran his hand on Quinn's shoulder, snuggling her closer. "Good morning to you too. How could you know anyway?"

Quinn reluctantly opened her eyes, titled her head up and placed a kiss on his jaw. "I can tell…"

Sam kissed her head in return. "You feel better already?"

Last night was eventful. Quinn remembered the argument, the crying, and also the realization that she had. It was exhausting, yet she managed to stay up for a second round. It shouldn't be like this, but it did make her feel much better.

When Lucy didn't answered, he asked her again. "Baby?"

Quinn went back to reality. "Oh, yeah. I feel better. Thanks to you." She tried to sit up but she felt dizzy so she laid her head on Sam's chest again. "Whoa, my head hurts…"

And that made Sam worried. "What happened? Did you accidentally hit your head on something while you're sleeping?"

Quinn chuckled. "No, I don't think so. I was secured in your arms last night," she shrugged. "Must be because of the crying and the lack of food."

"Yeah, right. You've got the number one protection squad here!" he laughed. "Speaking of crying, what was really happening last night? Do you want to talk about it? Cause I'm really worried. Especially after you started to pack your things up."

Quinn hesitated for a minute before she speaks. "I… honestly don't know. You kept saying that you love me and I think I got scared."

Sam furrowed his eyebrows. "Scared? Scared of what? Me?"

"Ha! No, not you. Maybe… my own feelings? I don't know."

"But why?"

"I told you, I don't know. Maybe because all of this happening so fast? We've had this normal relationship only for a week and you already love me. I got scared."

Sam chuckled. "Have you heard of love at first sight?"

Quinn sat up. "You believe that? And by the way, we've been together for two years so it's definitely not love at first sight."

"Well… my first love was love at first sight," he shrugged. "But with you… I don't know. That day I went back from New York, I feel like I saw a completely different person and I fell in love."

"So you fell in love with me because we finally slept together?"

Sam also sat up before he talked. "No, before you kissed me actually. Since the very first time I saw you in our walk-in-closet, I feel like I saw a completely different person and I don't know… my heart beats so fast that time."

"So you're saying that before New York, you don't even like me?"

There was a slight hurt in her voice and Sam felt guilty. "No… I like you, I do. I told you before that you reminded me so much of my first love, right? Same hair, same eyes… You didn't really make my heart beat so fast back then, but trust me, I do like you. When I saw you that night, I feel like I met my first love again."

Shit. Did he really know that I'm not Lucy? she thought. Before Sam questioned her silence she talked, "Maybe… you met my twin sister back then?"

Sam laughed. "Is that even possible? You're the only daughter in your family."

Well, your fiancé definitely have a twin sister, you've been sleeping with her, and she's currently sitting right in front of you, she thought.

"You got me curious… did your first love really looks like me?" She couldn't help but ask. She didn't even know why she was so interested.

"I remember the hair and eyes. Hers looks like yours."

She furrowed her eyebrows. "You remember?"

"Well… when I met her, I was pretty sure I was a little bit drunk."

Quinn scoffed. "Charming."

"I know I am," he chuckled. "Hey, I hate to do this but I need to go to the office soon."

Quinn sighed. "It's not fair. I'm having the rest of summer off but I can't spend it with you."

"What? You get the rest of summer off?"

"Did I forget to tell you?"

"You didn't tell me but I think it slipped off your mind because of the Melrose thing?"

Ugh, Melrose is not a thing. She's my daughter. "Maybe…"

"Anyway, wanna hit the shower together?" he grinned.

Quinn immediately know what he was thinking. "I thought two rounds last night was enough?"

"I can't never get enough of you, baby. You know that."

"You're almost late. Come on, hit the shower. I'll make you breakfast."

He pouted. "Okay then…"

Quinn chuckled. "Don't pout," she pecked his lips. "Go on, kay?"

"Fine."

When Sam closed the bathroom door, Quinn walked to the walk-in-closet and put on some clothes. Before she went to the kitchen, she took her phone and called on Mike. She needed to talk to him about this whole situation.

"Hello?"

"Mike?" she whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" Mike asked confusedly.

"Sam's in the bathroom and I need to do this real fast. Meet me at Lime Bean in one hour. Don't tell anyone. I think I'm in a huge trouble."
