Quinn felt the sun came through her eyes and it woke her up. She opened her eyes slowly and she was confused. Where am I? She tried to process everything for a while before she realized that she was in her own room at the Changs and Melrose was sleeping next to her.

She glanced at the bedside clock. 7:30. Everyone must be up already, she thought. Slowly, she rolled out from her bed, careful so she won't wake the little girl up. She kissed Melrose's forehead gently then went downstairs.

"Morning, sis! Did you even sleep?" Mike greeted once Quinn reached the bottom of the stairs and settled herself on the couch.

"Morning," she mumbled. "Why'd you say that?"

Mike took a seat across her. "You look like a zombie."

"Well… couldn't really sleep. The bed feel strange…"

"You haven't sleep in that bed for like what, three months now? Of course it feels strange. Sam's bed probably feel more comfortable," Mike scoffed.

"Not his bed… his arms," she mumbled again, now with red cheeks.

Mike scoffed again. "Speaking of… he wasn't looking for you last night?"

"I don't know. I mean, I turned off Lucy's phone since the afternoon. I won't know," she shrugged.

"You realized he probably went crazy for that, right?"

She shrugged again. "It's a good thing, right? He'll get mad at me and then I finally have a reason to leave that townhouse."

"So, when are you going to go there?"

"In a minute, I guess. Sam usually went to the office at 8, so when I arrive there Sam will be gone already."

"Okay. Need me to accompany you?"

"No, it's fine. I mean, I need you here to be with Mel. She won't be awake soon, right? So, when she's awake, you can tell her that I'll be back very soon."

"Yeah, right. I can do that."

"Well, I need to get ready. Wish me luck?" she said as she bit her lower lip.

Mike chuckled. "Good luck, Sis."

It was 8:30 when she finally arrived at the townhouse. She rummaged her purse to search for the key and when she found it, she opened the lock casually. Sam must have been gone by now, so she was at more ease. Once she was inside, she locked the door. Only when she turned around she realized that she wasn't alone.

"Oh my God!" she gasped once she spotted Sam, standing directly right in front of her with a very worried face. She was obviously shocked. "What are you doing here?"

Sam shook his head. "What am I doing here?" he asked in disbelief. "Baby, where have you been? God, I'm so worried," he said as he rushed to hug her tightly.

Quinn was dumbstruck. This wasn't the reaction she hoped for. She was expecting Sam to get angry at her, not worried sick like this. When she felt his tears on her shoulder, she felt guilty. So she wrapped her arms tightly around him. "I'm sorry…"

"Why didn't you answer any of my calls and messages? I even called the police station, reporting that you're missing but they said they couldn't do anything if the person haven't been missing for 24 hours…"

Quinn felt sick. He even did that? "God, I'm so sorry…"

"Don't do this to me again. Okay, baby?"

"No, I won't. I'm sorry."

Sam pulled back but didn't let go off her. "Where have you been, baby?"

She cupped his face and brought him closer to her. "It doesn't matter. I'm here now, okay?"

"But baby—"

"Sam, I'm here," she said as she closed the gap between their lips and kissed him deeply. He kissed her back immediately. After a while, Quinn pulled away. She rested her head on Sam's chest. "I'm so sorry."

Sam gave a chaste kiss on top of her head then rested his chin there. "Never do this to me again, baby. I love you so much."

"I love you too…"

They stayed like that for a while before Quinn pulled back. "Why you're not going to the office?"

"How can I go to the office when my fiancé is missing?" he said as he strokes her hair. "You can tell me where you've been later, but I think you need to get some rest first. You look so tired."

"I think you need some rest too. You haven't been sleeping, have you?"

"I couldn't sleep," he said. "How about you take some bath first, then we eat breakfast before we take some nap? Sounds good?"

Quinn nodded and started to make her way to the bathroom. She went to the bathtub and drew the water. Once it was filled, she stripped down her clothes and slid in. The hot water felt so damn good and relaxing. She didn't realize how tired she was until Sam mentioned it. Yesterday was exhausting. Between comforting and playing with her daughter, she didn't really have the time to rest. When it was bedtime, she couldn't really sleep frankly because she wasn't in Sam's arms. She was sure she was dozing off when she heard a faint knocked on the door.

"Baby?" Sam called as he opened the door slightly.

She turned her head and greeted him. "Hey…"

"You look so comfortable there," he chuckled. "Mind if I join? I could use that relaxation too…"

"Well… I could use some company," she smirked.

"Great," he said as he closed the door and walked approached the bathtub. He took no time to strip off his clothes. "Scoot over."

She did as he told. She felt his body dipped into the tub and once she was sure he settled himself already, she leaned herself on his chest. "Hmm… feel much better…"

"Really?" he asked. When he saw her nodded, he continued, "Then I'm glad I joined you," he said as he massaged her shoulder.

Quinn closed her eyes, enjoying the massage. "That feels so, so good. My entire body is aching. I don't even know why."

"Where were you, really? And why didn't you answer any of my calls or messages? I was worried sick, you know?"

Quinn was thinking for a while before she answered. "I was out… somewhere. And my battery was dead. I'm sorry, I should've gone back here or call but I don't know…"

"But no one hurt you, right?"

"No. I'm fine. I totally am. Just tired…" she said. She turned around a bit and pecked his lips. "I'm fine," she said as she turned herself again, resting her head on Sam's chest.

"I know you're fine, now that I see you," he said as he wrapped his arms around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him.

They stayed like that for a while, enjoying the silence and each other's presence. Sam was sure that Lucy was dozing off, not that he mind, but the water started to cool down. He didn't have the heart to wake her up but he had to.

"Babe?" he called as he rubbed her arms. "Babe? You need to wake up, honey."

Quinn stirred up. "What is it?" she mumbled.

"I hate to wake you up but the water is cooling down. We need to get out from here."

"Oh yeah," she muttered, still struggling to open her eyes.

Sam chuckled and pecked her cheek. "Come on. Lean over for a while, I'll get up, then I'll help you up."

She nodded and did as he said. She turned her head around and saw him reached for a bathrobe then wore it down. He reached for another one then offered his hand to her.

"Come on, I'll help you up."

She took his hand, retrieved the bathrobe and wore it down. "I'm so sleepy, I don't even know why. Can I just go to sleep now?"

"You need your breakfast first, babe."

"But I'm not making it…"

"Don't worry. I've got that already," he chuckled. "Come on."

She let him guided her to the kitchen. She set herself on the stool and watched him prepared their meals. "What do you have there, Chef Evans?"

"Just some pancakes and bacon with—"

"Wait a sec!" Quinn blurted out as she scrambled down from the stool and rushed to the bathroom. She hovered herself over the toilet and started throwing up. Not too long after that, Sam came and held her hair back as he stroke her back to help her. After she was sure she was done, she flushed down the toilet.

"Are you okay, babe? You're damn pale now. What happened?" he asked as he handed her a washcloth.

She retrieved it and started wiping her mouth. "I don't know… Can you help me up? I need to brush my teeth. This is gross."

"Yeah, sure."

He helped her up and watched her closely as she brushed her teeth. Once she was done, he asked her again. "Are you sure you're fine? I mean, I'm taking today's off, obviously, so I can take you to the doctor."

She freaked out a little when he mentioned doctor. She hated it but she didn't know if Lucy hated that too so she decided to play it safe. "I think I'm fine. I don't need the doctor."

"Well, yeah, you hated it so… anyway, I'm totally fine if you want to ditch breakfast. I think you need to lay down."

"I'm actually kinda starving. But I need to get dressed first."

"Go get dressed then. I'll just grab some pants and t-shirt to wear."

The two of them went to the walked-in-closet. Quinn rushed to take care of her business (she was on her period) and grabbed her pajama pants. Yeah, she knew it was morning already but she was going to be lazy that day. She was looking for a comfortable t-shirt when she found a great idea.

"Hey, Sam?" she called him.

"Yeah?"

"Can I wear your t-shirt? I want to wear something comfy and baggy…"

"Sure. Here, wear this," he said as tossed her the shirt he'd been holding. He was about to wear that but Lucy would look better in it that him.

She caught it and quickly wore it. "Thanks," she smiled.

"Anytime," he replied. "I'm going to the kitchen first, kay?"

"Sure," she said as she watched him went to the kitchen. She brushed her hair then she went to the bedroom. She found her purse on the bed. Sam must've put that there, she thought. She fished out her phone quickly and dialed Mike's number. "Pick it up fast, Mike! Come on!"

"What took you so long?"

That was the first words she heard. "Hello to you too, Mike," she scoffed. "Listen, I need to tell you this quickly," she whispered.

"Why the hell are you whispering? Oh, and by the way, Mel already wakes up. She's looking for you."

"Sam's in the kitchen—"

"Wait. What?!"

"He was waiting for me, for God's sake! I can't go back there now, Mike. He took the damn day off."

"What about Mel then? Come on, Quinn. You know what just happened!"

"I know! But…" she sighed. "Can I talk to her? Real quick, please."

"Wait a sec," he said. She heard him calling for Mel and not too long after that, she heard her little girl on the other line. "Mommy?"

"Hey, sweetie."

"Mommy where are you?"

Quinn never wanted to lie to her daughter. But she needed too. "Listen, sweetie. My boss needed me. I have to work now."

"But you promised you're not leaving again…"

"I'm not leaving you, okay? I'll come over tomorrow."

"What about today?"

"I can't… honey, I have to go now. But as soon as I can, I'll call you again. And I'll come over tomorrow, kay?"

"Okay, Mommy…"

She could tell that Melrose was disappointed. God, she would give anything to be with her daughter now but she couldn't. "Be a good girl for Mommy, okay?"

"I will. I love you, Mommy."

"I love you too…"

As if it was on a cue, Sam called for her just as she ended the phone call. "Babe, the food's ready!"

"Yeah, I'm coming!"

She put her phone back on her purse again and then joined Sam to eat their breakfast.

After breakfast, they literally spent their day in the bed. They only left to eat lunch and to go to the bathroom when they needed it. Before they knew it, it was dinner time and time to go to bed again.

Quinn was currently lying on their bed with her head resting on Sam's chest, just like what they always did. "We're such a lazy pig today," she said as she draped her arm on Sam's stomach in attempt to bring his body closer to her.

"I agree. But it felt good, right?" he said as he kissed her head.

"Hmm…"

"We should do this more often."

Quinn sat up to face him. "What about your job? Your dad will be mad if you keep taking day offs just to pig out with me like this."

He pecked her lips quickly. "I'll be fine. I mean, my dad already knows how much I love you so it wouldn't matter," he shrugged.

"If you say so," she said as she returned to her position and made herself comfortable.

They stayed in silence for a while before Sam decided to break it. "So… are you going to tell me where were you yesterday night, babe?" When the blonde girl didn't answer, he called her again. "Babe?" No respond again. Then he realized that she must've been asleep already.

He sighed then kissed her forehead. "Night, beautiful. I love you…" he said before drifting to sleep himself.
