Hwang Tae Kyung glared at the water in the sea as he sat perched on the large rock that Chin-sun had chosen for the photos. It didn't matter if Mi Nyu knew Chin-sun; she was a photographer and all photographers were annoying.
He rolled his eyes when Chin-sun yelled, "Tae Kyung ssi! Please stop glaring! You can glare at me all you want after the shoot is over."
Chin-sun in no way wanted the whiny boy -yes, boy not man because he wasn't behaving like a grownup- to spoil the shoot.
The back ground was perfect with bits of sunlight penetrating the clouds, the clouds were dark in their centre and white around the edges, the band itself was looking not so far from perfect.
Chin-sun herself had rolled up her pants and was taking almost a hundred photos a minute and Mi Nam couldn't help but be awe-struck.
Chin-sun seemed to be a different person altogether. She was very professional.
And he didn't want to disappoint her in any way. She seemed to be giving her very best and he'd give his best too, even if the wind was spoiling his hair.

"Jeremy ssi! You look amazing with that smile! Keep it that way!"
That remark made Mi Nam raise his eyebrows and look at Chin-sun.
"Don't do that Mi Nam! It looks weird!"
Mi Nam rolled his eyes and went back to posing. Jeremy looked amazing and he looked weird?
What was wrong with the girl?
Chin-sun looked up at the sky and at the exact moment she did so, a drop of water fell on her face.
Rain?
The rain drops came down one by one and soon it was drizzling.
"Everyone! Back to the vans!" Someone yelled and everyone ran into their respective vans.
The band was the last to get into safety; it was difficult to get off the rock.

Chin-sun kept her precious camera in its case as she sat in the back seat.
It was a shock to her when a certain someone clad in white got into the van. She looked at him with a questioning look, he just held out his hand.
Chin-sun felt herself smile; it was these small things that someone remembered that made them friends that one could never give up, and Mi Nam was one of them. He remembered...he remembered that Chin-sun loved the rain. He'd always do this, when they were in high school, they would always run into the grounds if it started raining.
Without a second thought she had taken his hand and both of them had hopped off the van and into the rain.
Oblivious to the yelling of Co-ordi Noona, Manager Ma, Ji-Kyung-unnie and all the rest, they ran in the rain and Mi Nam picked her up and spun her around like she weighed nothing. They were having fun with no restrictions, not thinking about the consequences. Just like old times.

Hours later Chin-sun and Mu Nyu sat in Mi Nyu's room, sipping on coffee as Chin-sun sneezed at short intervals.
"We told you two not to get wet in the rain," Mi Nyu said, trying to sound like she was angry but was unsuccessful. But then, Mi Nyu never sounded angry anyways.

"But getting wet in the rain is fun! And we hadn't done that in a—"
Chin-sun couldn't finish her sentence on account of another round of sneezes took over her.

Mi Nyu giggled as Chin-sun's sneezes subsided.
"It's like we never separated, you know?"
Chin-sun looked at Mi Nyu with a confused look.
"I mean especially you and Oppa...both of you are the same. You're just as comfortable with each other as you were before and I don't know about you but Oppa seems happier."

Chin-sun just tilted her head to one side, "I guess...it feels good to know that the...friends that you left behind will still be there for you and know you like nobody in the world does. I'm glad that I met Mi Man again...and you too."
Mi Nyu just nodded with a smile.

"Now what will we do? The photographer is sick...why are there so many problems?"
A voice that Chin-sun now easily recognised as Manager Ma's said as he entered the room.

"It's nothing, Manager Ma! I'll be better by tomorrow morning," Chin-sun said with a shake of her head.

"Ehhhh...but Chin-sun-yang, you should've known better. I mean Mi Nam is a big baby but...you know?"

"I'm sorry, Manager Ma," Chin-sun said with an apologetic smile, "but when I'm with him it's like-"
Chin-sun immediately stopped herself and looked down at the mug in her hands.
What was she about to say?
It's like what?
Like nothing else mattered? Like he was the only person in the world?

Manager Ma cleared his throat at the sudden awkwardness that had filled the room.
"Yeah-yeah! I know you're old friends but you know? The fact that we're away from home and all...I'll go and get you some medicines."
Chin-sun nodded, still looking down. She heard him walk out of the room.

"Unnie, how do you feel?"
Chin-sun looked up at Mi Nyu. She seemed to be contemplating something.
"How do you feel about...?" she didn't continue.

"What do you mean?"

"You aren't really sick are you?

"Not something a few pills and warm soup can't handle."
Mi Nyu nodded.
Chin-sun placed the mug on the small coffee table and leaned back on the couch, resting her head on the arm-rest.
Mi Nyu looked at the blonde. She couldn't figure it out. All through high school they'd been friends. Mi Nam had his best friend and Chin-sun had her own friends but somehow they'd always managed to be together. Mi Nyu remembered looking at them and wishing for a friendship like that she could share with someone. Not just her brother but someone who she'd want to care about because she knew they'd care too. Family was always there but she had wanted to care about someone not because that was what she was supposed to but because she couldn't do without making sure that person was alright.
And finally she'd found that in Tae Kyung, she was in love with him. Did the fact that her Oppa and Chin-sun shared that kind of a relationship long ago mean that they loved each other too?
It had taken a few months for herself and Tae Kyung to finally confess.
How long did it take others?

"Mi Nyu!" she was broken out of her reverie by a familiar voice.
"Oh! Chin-sun-ssi! You're here too!"
Both girls turned and saw Jeremy standing at the door.
"Tae Kyung-hyung is looking for you, Mi Nyu."

Mi Nyu stood up.
Chin-sun sat up with much effort.
"I'll be right there," she looked down at Chin-sun, "Unnie, no need to stand, Jeremy will stay with you."
Chin-sun smiled at her gratefully.
"I'll be back."
Mi Nyu scurried out of the room and left the two blondes alone.

Jeremy strode towards the couch and sat on the sofa placed near it.
"You don't seem to be doing too well, Chin-sun-ssi," Jeremy said with a concerned look.

"I'm not that bad," Chin-sun said, "and please, call me Chin-sun, Jeremy-ssi."

"Then you should be calling me Jeremy too, right, Chin-sun?"

Chin-sun smiled, "Okay, Jeremy."
A sneeze left Chin-sun's mouth.

"You are not quite fine."

"It was just a sneeze," Chin-sun shrugged.

"Chin-sun, can I say something to you?" Jeremy leaned in.
The girl nodded.

"I think you're really really pretty...but you that brat seems to be very protective of you."
Jeremy pouted and furrowed his eyebrows in distaste.

"You're too nice, Jeremy," Chin-sun laughed, "and Mi Nam...he's always been that way, was suspended from school quite a few times for beating up guys who teased me. But he's Mi Nam and he cares and shows it in weird ways."
Jeremy looked at Chin-sun intently as she spoke. A few years ago, he may have been too immature to understand that look but he did now. Mi Nam held a place in her heart that no one could take.
It was alright though; he had just thought she was pretty. Maybe he'd find someone in whose heart he would dwell forever?

"He really does care though..."
Chin-sun nodded.
She knew that he'd always cared and that she too had always cared for him. But the feelings that she was now having, were they valid? Was she supposed to have them?
Maybe it was because she had been away for so long and now he somehow seemed better in all aspects. Maybe it was because he was a superstar now and had thousands of girls ready to lay down their lives for him (quite literally). She shook her head.
It did not matter, he was busy and so was she. This wasn't high school...they couldn't always be together and somehow in the few days weeks that she had been in touch with him after their reunion, she knew that she didn't quite belong in Mi Nam's world.
