Warning: The following update contains intense complaining. Read at your own risk.
Alright, guys and gals, you probably noticed that I have been... slacking on The Seventh Element. Well, this is probably the best time to say why. I have three reasons for neglecting it for a while.
Reason #1: My crappy desktop
I can't even begin to say how slow that piece of junk I call my computer is, let alone how old! It shuts down randomly on me when I am in the middle of something (typing, watching a video, etc.), it feels like a chore just trying to scroll down a page, and it takes so dang long just for the Internet to work on it! Ugh!
Reason #2: Schoolwork
This is my main excuse for late updates, and I'm sorry if it annoys anybody, but I dreaded school for this reason. It always work, work, work during the week, and when the weekend comes, I just want to relax! And even if I did feel like writing, I'd have to do it on my dad's computer because mine hates me (please refer back to Reason #1). I have to wait until he's done, and then I go on and do it.
Reason #3: The feeling's just not there...
You know that feeling of excitement you get when you first start out your story, letting the creativity vibrate through your fingers? Well, it was strong when I started out The Seventh Element, but as time went on, the creative juices just started draining from my brain. I try to make the story sound as exciting as possible, but I'm afraid I have a case of writer's block with The Seventh Element. I'm sorry, everyone, but I just don't feel it in me.
Now, you're probably afraid that I'm gonna flat-out say, "I quit," but the last thing I want is to forget a story that fellow fans are following it this very second, waiting for the next chapter no matter how long it takes (trust me, I know how that feels). So, I'm gonna take a break from it until the juices come back. End of story.
P.S: I might work on Quest for the Crystal Trident while I'm at it.
P.P.S. I am also planning on posting a revised version of A Mermaid's Wedding on Deviantart.
P.P.P.S. (for the whiny followers) If you even THINK about working up the nerve to whine in the reviews, "You never update on time," or any of that crud, well, guess what? It just ain't working.
Peace.
