Hey! I'm so sorry, we were assigned lots of projects and test. And then when I did have time, my laptop charger broke and we had to order a new one, and they sent the wrong model. I finally got it and now we're on break! Man I missed so many updates, I was thinking of doing this on time with the events in school and the holidays, I'm really sorry. I'm sending the rest now to make it up. Hope you like meeting the characters.

Guest: Well you were close, you'll find out what I mean, but thanks for the suggestion. Hope it's still good enough.

Im095: Why thank you. I know, I've been asked that too, but I'll get to it very soon. I promise. Hope you still like it.

Settling In

"So you're saying your parents are going to let their friend's kids stay here for about a year or two?" Sam asked Danny. They were in Danny's room after he told them what his parents told him. They had agreed to their old friends favor.

"I guess. This going to be one heck of an experience. It's going to be weird having other people I don't know at all living here. And in the rooms across mine! Jazz is already worse enough!" Danny replied.

"I heard that!" Jazz said as she walked by the open door. "And don't worry. There's a girl your age, and my age too so we should get along. They're on their way now in fact and should be here soon."

"Ooh a girl our age?" Tucker asked before putting on mouth spray. "I think this is my sho-OW!"

"Anyway," Sam said after elbowing Tucker, "I guess we should try to know them, I mean, we're even going to the same school, right?"

"She's right Danny," Jazz said. "Kids the same ages usually get along better because they feel they can relate to one another."

"Thanks for the lecture, Jazz." Danny said sarcastically. Then they heard a car beep outside, and a car door opening.

"Thank you so much. I promise we will make this up someday." They heard from downstairs. "The bags are in the car with the kids, so we'll be done soon."

"I guess they're here." Jazz said.

"Jack, they're here!" Maddie called out while walking up from the basement stairs.

"In a second." Jack yelled out from back down in the basement. They were working on their newest project. Something big; the next greatest invention that'll change the world. And it was nearly completed. Just a few more tweaks here and there and it'll be done.

"Sorry, we were working on something." Maddie explained to Michelle. "It's almost finished."

Michelle put that bag that she was carrying down and looked back up to Maddie. "Its fine, we owe you."

"Don't worry, besides, we still owe you for blowing up your science fair projects with our prototype explode on contact ecto-sensor..." Jack said trailing off remembering how they had to evacuate the school because of the fire. Needless to say, they lost.

"Oh that, it's ok, we only spent 7 months on it." They heard. "Oh, there are our kids."

Everyone in Danny's room counted together. "3, 2, 1…"

"Jazz, Danny, come to meet our guests!" Maddie yelled, right on cue. Everyone prepared themselves before going downstairs.

Next to Danny and Jazz's mom, there was a woman, with light brown hair that was curly, it went just passed her shoulders, and dark browns eyes. She was wearing an orange t-shirt and light blue jeans under a white lab coat. On the other side of their mom was a man whose hair was short, but it was curly with what they can tell, and green eyes. Like the woman, he had a white lab coat, under was a red plain t-shirt and dark blue jeans.

"Danny, Jazz, this is Michelle." Maddie started, gesturing to the woman. "And Joseph. We were friends during high school."

"Hey Jazz, I remember when you were still a baby!" Michelle said, surprised at how big Jazz has gotten. Her face turned was caring as she remembered how small Jazz was with her orange hair and eyes that were curious to the world around her. She was adorable. Then her face turned unpleasant. "You spit on me…"

"Oh sorry Michelle, as a baby, I have no control on what I did." Jazz said shyly. It's kind of embarrassing when someone you don't know tells of how you were when you were a baby.

"And Danny! Look at you! How old are you now, 27?" Joseph joked.

"Ask that again in 13 years." Tucker added.

"…Yeah."

"Dude, get the bag!" They heard a female voice coming from outside.

"I got the bag!" They heard another female voice.

"No you don't, you're eating a box of cookies!"

"…Yeah but I got the bag with me."

"Well carry it inside then."

"Which house is it?"

"The house down the street. The one in front of you, what do you think?" That had a sarcastic ring to it.

"Oh well, it could've been the one across."

"Yes, lets park here when there's an empty parking space where we need to be. Let's do that."

"You guys don't fight." A third voice came in. This one was male, but very young.

"And those are our kids." Michelle reluctantly said. Right then, they came through the door. The first one was the oldest who was Jazz's age, and also the one eating chocolate chip cookies. She was tan, like her mother. She had thin dark brown hair; in fact at first glance it looked black. It was wavy, and fell slightly in her face, and the rest was tied up in a short tuff at the bottom of her head. She wore goggles with red tinted glass at the top of her head, and her eyes were dark green, and freckles covered her cheeks. She had a long sleeve black shirt, similar to Jazz's except baggier, and it had a blue detailed from view of a bear face one it, and long white pants that she folded to it ended at her ankles. She wore plain black shoes and no socks. "This is Annie, the oldest."

"Hey." Annie said with a toothy grin before putting another cookie in her mouth. The next one was another girl, younger though, the one Danny's age. She closely resembled her father. She had black hair that was half tied up and ended slightly below her shoulders, and half down in the front. She had bright green eyes, and wore a plain dark red t-shirt and black jeans that ended at her shin. She wore black and white sneakers.

"That's Roxanna." Joseph said gesturing to his daughter.

"Uh, Roxy's fine." Roxanna, or Roxy said with a wave. Then the last one came in. He couldn't have been older than 7. He had dark blue eyes and long shaggy black hair that fell all over his head. He wore a long big black t-shirt with light blue eagle wings design that spread out in the front and baggy grey sweat pants with a blue stripe down at the end of each leg. He also had red and black Spiderman sneakers.

"Hey, I'm Mike." He said in a little 5-year old voice. He looked over at Annie and stole a cookie. She glared at him with the 'I'll get back at you' eyes.

"Oh, well I'm Jasmine, but call me Jazz." Jazz said introducing herself. "And this is my little brother Danny." She gestured towards said guy who waved in return. "I hope you like our normal family." She stared at her parents, silently begging them with her eyes to not bring out their ghost hunting equipment.

"Hey that reminds me! Come check out our ghost hunting equipment!" Jack exclaimed excitedly after looking into Jazz's eyes. Jazz face palmed. "They're down in the basement. We're working on a ghost portal! It's almost finished!"

"Ghost hunting?" Roxy asked, curious. Their parents had told them that they were scientist working in the supernatural field.

"What? Scared of ghosts, Roxy?" Mike said smugly. "You need to be braver, like me!"

"Jack, let them settle in before we bring them to the basement." Maddie reasoned with her husband. He reluctantly complied after a moment or two. "Your rooms are upstairs and down the hall, next to Danny's room. Roxy, yours is right across Danny's; Mike and Annie, you're going to have to share the one down the hall."

"Wait, how come she gets her own room?" Mike asked.

" 'Cuz you know you're going to be scared by yourself, especially in a new house. You're already scared at home." Annie explained.

"So much for brave little man." Sam said sarcastically.

"Oh, these are my friends. You'll see them here a lot." Danny explained.

"I'm Tucker. Tucker Foley." One said. Tucker wore a yellow long sleeve shirt, a blue book bag, a red beret covering his short black hair, and green cargo pants. And lastly, he had a black belt, brown boots, and glasses in front of his light blue eyes. He put on more mouth spray. "So you like movi-OWW!"

"And I'm Sam." A girl said after elbowing her friend. She looked gothic with her short black hair that fell loosely, except for a small tuff tied with a green tie at the back of her head, purple lipstick and purple eyes. As well as thin black chocker around her neck, black bracelets on both her wrists, black tank top that exposed her midriff and a purple oval in the center, a black skirt with white lines forming squares that decorated it, and black combat boots that went to her knees over her purple leggings.

"Hi." Mike said with a sad tone as though he didn't like this place but was trying to be polite. "What do you guys like to do?"

"Mike, allow me to introduce you to the wonderful world of techno-"

"How about Danny and Jazz show you to your rooms." Maddie said breaking up the moment knowing that Tucker could go on for days about this.

"So this is it?" Annie asked. Jazz had taken her and Mike up to their room, it was median sized and the walls were a light blue. She nodded to answer her question.

"I want this bed." Annie referred to the bed at the wall; next to a window that over looked the streets below. Annie set her bags on her newly established bed. Mike only looked around before seeing his bed, and then slowly walked over to it.

"Well I hope you enjoy your stay, if you need anything I'm down the hall." Jazz said before politely excusing herself.

"So here's your room, I guess." Danny said showing Roxy her room. Sam and Tucker followed along, not wanting to be alone with the adults downstairs. Roxy nodded, looking at her new room for a year or so. It was smaller than Annie and Mike's room, but it was more than enough space for one person.

"Thanks." Roxy said. As she looked behind her to thank Danny properly, she saw behind him was what could only be his room. Not to mention the big 'Danny's Room' sign on the door that hung open. "You're into space?" She questioned looking at the pictures and posters that decorated his walls and door.

"What, oh, my room. Kind of hard to miss, but yeah." He said after looking behind him. "Um, do you like space?"

"That's cool. I do, but I don't know too much about it. I kind of always wanted to know more about space though." She replied.

"Oh, well did you know they only choose one hundred people every two years to go into the space program?" Danny started off.

"Now I do."Roxy said with a smile. Danny was obviously happy to talk about it as he was smiling and looked like he can blabber about it all day, just like his father Jack could blabber about ghosts all day.

"Ok, we'll give you time to unpack and settle in." Sam interrupted, grabbing Danny's and Tucker's shoulder. "We'll be in Danny's room if you need us." They were carried backwards across the hall.

"Alright then." Roxy said to herself while putting her bag on the bed. She looked out the window that hung on one side of the wall. Suddenly her phone rang from in her pocket. She answered, already knowing who it was. "Hey, what's up?"

"Hello. How are you doing?" The voice on the other line asked. "Are you at the new house already?"

"Yeah. It seems nice. The guy here is our same age," She referred to Danny. "And his sister is the same as Annie."

"Wow."

"Yeah, but they both seem pretty cool."

"Do they? I wonder if they're anything like us."

"I can't say; I haven't had a good chance to talk to them."

"Oh, well I have to go, we're here."

"Alright, I'll see you soon." Roxy said before the phone hung up from the other line.

Later, Roxy had put away most of her stuff and went downstairs to say goodbye to her parents. Annie and Mike should be done soon. They couldn't stay very long, the airplane their new job provided would be there soon, and they didn't want to miss their flight.

"If it's okay with you, uh, Maddie," Roxy said looking at said woman. "If I have a few friends coming over, is it alright?"

"Friends?" Maddie asked a bit confused. They came from a different state and just got here. That's not right.

"Well, long-story-short, they convinced their parents to move here because they couldn't stand to be alone." Roxy replied in a quick voice. "I was surprised too."

"Oh, I see. Well sure they can come over sweetie." Maddie said back. She wanted the kids to be as comfortable as possible here. "Maybe you and your friends can get along with Danny and his."

"Really? Wow, thanks! We'll try not to be a bother." Roxy said excitedly. That was easy. After a quick call, her friends were on their way. Just then, Annie and Mike came down the stairs to say goodbye.

"We got lost."

"How do you manage that?" They were upstairs, and down the hall was a two way split, one which led to Jack and Maddie's room, and the other side led to Jazz room on the right wall, and next to that was their room. Unless they went in a closet to Narnia, they didn't see how they could be lost.

"Don't question us." Annie said, though in a playful voice. Then they turned to their parents. "So I guess this is it."

"I'll miss you a lot mommy. I love you." Mike said to Michelle while giving her a hug, burying his face in her clothes. "You too dad."

"I'll miss you too. But don't worry, we can visit sometime." Michelle said trying to reassure her children.

"Yeah, we'll use our vacation time to come here." Joseph said trying to help after he saw a stray tear fall from Mike's face.

"Mike, they'll be back, I promise." Roxy said not wanting to see him cry. Her little brother was 5 years old, and smart for his age, he knew his parents were going away for a long time. He only clutched his mother's clothes tighter. Annie decided to speak as well.

"Maddie and Jack are going to take care of us. We're going to have fun, and you'll make a lot of new friends too."

"I don't want new friends. I like my old ones, they're perfect." Mike said finally lifting his head to look at everyone.

"Roxy's friends are here too, Mike." Michelle said while bending down to hug her child. That got his attention. More people he knew were here, it made him feel better. Danny and his friends came downstairs and saw the scene. They looked awkward, as though they didn't know what to say. Then a knock resounded at the door.

"Hey Mike," Said kid looked up with hopeful eyes. "They're here." Roxy said before opening the front door.

Ha ha! Cliffhanger! You'll meet Roxy's friends on the next one, I promise. I hope you like the characters so far. I added three more, and there's going to be two more next chapter. Also, I know that the room across Danny's is Jazz's room. For this story though, I moved her room somewhere else in the house. It is a pretty big house. And again, really sorry for the late update. I will start writing more, I promise, in fact I already have a few of the later episodes written up already.
