A/N: Hey guys! Thank you for all the reviews! I'm so glad that you are enjoying the story and that for some of you, Melody is the perfect character addition! I'm sorry to say that this story will soon be coming to an end, but I'm working on an X-Men Evolution fanfic right now along with thinking about a sequel for "A New Avengers for the Avengers". Here's the next chapter, hope you like it. This time, you get some more of my actual writing, not just the script.

Loki roughly shoved me onto the jet that Clint used to get to the Helicarrier.

"Sit down, Melody. We don't want you getting hurt, now."

"They'll come after you, you know. They won't take Phil's death sitting down. Especially Tony," I said, staying standing up.

"But they won't harm me so long as I have you and they don't know where you are."

"Where are you taking me, Loki?"

"Somewhere where the Super Soldier can't find you. Somewhere where I can keep you for all eternity."

"What?" I asked before I felt someone hit me from behind. As my vision grew dim, I saw Loki looking at me in despair.

When I woke up, I was chained in a room that looked very familiar. I looked around, trying to figure out why it looked so familiar.

"Ah, she finally awakens." I looked over in the direction of where I heard the voice, and saw, of all people, Loki.

"Where am I?"

"Safely hidden away in New York, of course. The Chitauri will avoid this building because I have told them to. Now, if you'll excuse me, I simply must meet with the man of iron."

"What do you mean, Loki? Where are we?"

"Now, Melody, you're smarter then that. What fun would it be if I told you where we are. Figure it out, if you can."

Loki walked away smugly, glancing back once he reached the door to give me that same condescending smirk that he gave Thor. I looked at my surroundings, trying to figure out why it looked familiar to me. I moved my hands, and noticed how easily I could slip them out of the chains. I quickly slipped out of the chains and ran to the door. Of course it was locked. Why would he want to make it easy for me. I looked around the room, hoping to see something I could use to get out. I noticed a window and quickly moved over to it, looking out to see if the view could tell me where I was. It looked like I was in New York.

"Crap. He wouldn't have brought me here." I went up to activate my ear piece, noticing that it was still there.

"Tony, Nat, any one, can you here me? I'm in the Stark Building. Loki is here, and he's waiting for Tony. Do not engage, repeat, do not engage." I quickly said.

"Melody? This is Captain America. Tony is at your location already. He doesn't have JARVIS in his ear right now, but he will soon. See if JARVIS can get you out of there."

"The door is manually locked, Cap. My only option is through the window."

"Melody, don't even think about-" Nat stared to say.

"Too late. I've already thought about it and will be doing it. Be ready to catch me, someone."

"Melody, wait a minute. I'll be at your location in two."

"Perfect. That gives me enough time to plan this out fully." I began to look for something heavy to break the window, not wanting to break my body before this so called glorious battle that Loki planned. I heard the door beginning to open behind me.

"Cap, you here yet?"

"Not yet, Melody."

"But I am," I heard from behind me. It was Clint's voice. I began to panic, thinking Loki had sent him to take me away to where the Avengers couldn't find me.

"NO!" looked around the room, thinking about just throwing my self out the window, regardless of the consequences.

"Wait! It's me!" I looked at his eyes and saw that they were his normal color instead of the startling blue that Loki's men had.

"Clint? Is that really you?"

"I promise it is. Now, you wanna get out of here or not? Nat has the quinjet outside." He opened the door, and took off running. After a moment of indecision, I followed, hoping that I wasn't making a mistake.

A/N: Sorry it's a shorter chapter. I'm setting up for the big battle, which will be the next chapter. Depending on how I decide to do that part, it may be two chapters. Please, leave a review! I love hearing from you! (Even if your a guest, let me know what you think of it).
